Knitted by Lw was created back in 2018 whilst on Maternity leave with my Son Archie. My background is in Fashion and Textiles design, obtaining a 1st Class hons in this subject but specialising in Knitwear my specialist area were hand and machine knitting. I went onto freelancing in swatch design, pattern writing and many other creative roles. Why Chunky Merino Wool? I fell in love with the softness and luxurious quality of Merino wool – I have always been fascinated by various wool yarns, this certain yarn is so versatile and being SUPER chunky it is satisfying to you use as the knit grows so quickly! Which is a bonus. It started with my Signature Chunky heart wreaths, I continued to develop my ideas. I started off for my blankets using Chunky Metre Long wooden Knitting needles, then came across the art of Arm knitting via a tutorial I came across. I then decided to venture on with this idea and started my Arm knitting Workshop classes, Fast forward 2 years later minus the few lockdowns Knitted by Lw workshops are more successful and are constantly growing and becoming popular. As you can Imagine I started to take over the house, My talented husband Ryan came to my rescue and built me my very own garden studio (He is the best!) this is where I also run small intermit workshops – my happy place! Thank you, Thank you! I would just like to say a massive thank you to every single person who has support me over the years, from buying my chunky knitted creations to attending one or two of Arm knitting workshop. Glass has always interested me and I have enjoyed working with glass for many years, repairing and making leaded glass panels and making terrariums as gifts. Lampworking In 2010 I started my journey of lampwork bead making . I love lampworking because of the reactions of the glass that occur when used with varying conditions in the flame and kiln using different types of glass. Beads can be made from a wide variety of glasses that if used together must be compatible with each other, and when worked can come out of the kiln looking totally different. Making sets of beads provides another level of accuracy to achieve. Opening the kiln the next day always brings surprises !! Studio Workshop Now that I have retired, my wife April and I have opened a retail studio workshop in Astwood Bank, Worcestershire. We run lampwork and jewellery making classes/courses which can be organised to suit your requirements. These are bookable on line. The lampwork studio can comfortably accommodate 2 students. I also provide one to one tuition for people wishing to learn individually. Findings along with my lampwork beads are for sale in the shop and I also do lampworking demonstrations, so if you’re interested come along and see me in action. April, (Fuchsia Cottage Crafts) and my daughter Jay (Jays Jewels) are both avid seed beaders and have made some of my beads into beautiful pieces of jewellery – these are on sale in the shop so if you’re passing – pop in, and take a look. Focusing on allyship to allow a deeper understanding and acceptance of all around us. Through exploring what racism is and what it means to be anti racist young people take part in a range of creative learning, developing a range of skills and of course team work! LITERARY LEADERS Our Literary Leaders programme blends the traditional book club environment to allow young people to explore stories that explore black history and culture, alongside the work of BIPOC exploring stories of all kinds. Through exploring various kinds of literature from fiction, non fiction, blogs, articles and more our Literary Leaders learn the tools for the five types of writing expository, descriptive, narrative persuasive and creative to ensure that all stories are head and express what they feel needs to be shared with their local and wider community. ANTI RACISM WORKSHOPS(Organisations, Staff, Teachers) Our anti racism workshops for community organisations and schools all start with an initial call to talk with your organisation lead or designated EDI lead to help tailor the workshop to where your school is at on it’s journey in inclusivity and allyship. Our workshops look at; The Protected Characteristics, Unconscious Bias and practical tools and frameworks that allow you to look at where growth is needed within your organisation and where to develop in becoming transformational when it comes to race equality and inclusivity in your organisation.

Each workshop is different, in the past we have run workshops marbling, playing with clay, beeswax wrap making, making an art attack and a fire engine! Monthly Creative Workshops: we run affordable monthly workshops are for adults of all abilities. You do not need any creative experience to attend any of the workshops and we make them as accessible as possible. One off Workshops: run one off workshops for all ages and are often commissioned to create workshops for specific groups or projects. Diamond Dance was established by Sian Pargetor in 2010 and started with a few basic lessons on a Saturday, to include a baby class, Tap, Ballet and Modern examination work. It wasn’t long before the timetable grew and additional classes were added. It began with the addition of an Acrobatics class, quickly followed by Street dance, private lessons and Festival class and in more recent years the addition of Contemporary and Musical Theatre. The first ever Diamond Dance show was held at the Community Centre back in 2011 with a small showcase. In 2013 Dance Infinity was established and is now a bi-annual show put on by all the pupils at the school. With the schools growth in 2013 and 2015 the shows were performed at Blue Coat Theatre and new from 2017 Dance Infinity moved to the Albany Theatre. Diamond Dance is involved in many Community events and has been seen at the Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey, Godiva Festival, local fetes, Supermarket events, and Chaplin’s Princess Ball to name a few. Sian is keen to take part in these events as it gives the pupils extra performance opportunities. Please get in touch if you would like us to perform at your event. Pupils can expect to be given incredible workshop opportunities whilst attending Diamond Dance both at the Studios and outside events. A favourite is the bi-annual trip to Butlin’s Skegness where Diamond Dance take part in the British Theatre Dance Association Gala weekend. However, it’s not all about the dancing. Sian made friends for life when she was a dancer at the Sylvia Bird Dance School and hopes that the pupils of Diamond Dance will make these same lifelong friendships. Therefore, you will often see us on trips to the theatre or the parents on a night out. It all adds to the friendly atmosphere that is part of the school. For many years the school was based at its local Community Centre and hired the space per session. However, in August 2017 Diamond Dance moved to its new premises and their own Dance Studios. Diamond Studios consists of three studio spaces, a parents waiting area and even hosts a “chill out room” for its pupils. The space is available to hire and you should contact the studios if you are interested in this.
