Amongst our group of instructors we have qualified bike mechanics, ‘Breeze’ leaders, British Cycling coaches and experience of working with disabilities. Our Bikeability instructors also deliver our balance bike programme and adult cycle training. Our sister company Inclusive Pedals CIC is a social enterprise delivering many community cycling initiatives (Dr Bike, Adapted Cycling, Cycling Without Age & 'Couch to 10 Miles') with the same staff involved as well as a team of volunteers. Wheely Fun Wheels Ltd is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The business is run by Alastair Meikle who was raised in Chesterfield and after leaving school spent 30 years working for the Civil Aviation Authority and National Air Traffic Services. One of a very few people who regularly cycled to work at the London Air Traffic Control Centre! Following his decision to leave air traffic control he spent a year touring Europe in a motorhome with his family and bicycles before relocating back to Chesterfield and starting Wheely Fun Wheels. Alastair was the winner of the national Modeshift award in 2017 'Individual Contribution to Sustainable Travel' and in 2019 delivered practical training workshops at the national Bikeability conference. Whilst we are often on our bikes for our daily transport needs most of us also tour on our bikes, do the occasional race and take part in sportives, one of our instructors organises long distance rides in the Peak District. After finishing school I was fortunate enough to be chosen for another full time scholarship place at Millennium Dance 2000 College for 3 years performing arts training. Even with all this incredible training I still look back fondly at the small performing arts school I attended one night a week in Leeds : Scala Kids. I owe a lot of my skills to the training I received there and would look forward to going to my classes every week without the pressure of taking exams or doing competitions. I was made to feel like part of the "Scala" family and felt free to be creative and express my talents. This is how I want the Theatre Skills Academy to be- a place where kids can come to be creative, build confidence, feel equal, learn new skills, improve their talents, and have FUN. Our friendly comprehensive swimming programme is spread across 29 progressive levels suitable for the early introduction of babies, from 10 weeks old in our Level 1, right through to children of approximately 7 or 8 years in our Child Level 29. We not only teach the children how to swim but also, water confidence, water safety and when older, snorkeling, rescue and how to use underwater scooters! And you can choose between many venues with weekday or weekend classes Not only has the Aquatots programme been carefully enhanced and adapted over the 22 years to be the best Baby, Toddler and Child swimming program available, but we also take care to ensure that the babies and children are swimming in a suitable and warm environment. For example our baby classes will always be taught in warm, shallow private pools ensuring the perfect relaxed surroundings for new parents and first time swimmers. Once the children are able to swim independently, we move to bigger pools providing the extra space required, so all swimmers are encouraged to develop their skills to their maximum potentials. We also want and need our parents to join us in the water throughout the programme, even into the later swim levels. This not only keeps this activity as a shared family event ensuring learning continues outside of our lessons, on holiday for example, but also avoids that common issue in many other swim clubs without parents, where children sadly spend lots of wasted time waiting for a Teacher to swim with each one individually. During that time they often start to get bored and lose their enthusiasm. Having a parent in the water ensures that each child has a personal assistant at all time, to enhance and speed up the learning process altogether.

The Golf course is now officially closed for the season. "The Short Course" is open for all members. As the pins were removed from all greens, the Grounds staff set up the winter 'Short-Course" for members to go out and play when weather and winter thaws permit throughout the off-season. The Short-course layout is as follows: You will play temporary holes on 1, 2 and 3, then make your way to the 5th hole, play 6 & 7 then tee off back towards the 10th green, followed by holes 11, 12 and 18. All those holes have temporary tees and greens and we would ask that all members while playing or practicing utilize those while remaining off all regulation tees and greens. Coming Shortly-Wyantenuck "Indoor Golf Park". This off-season and after the Holidays we will officially be opening the WCC Indoor Golf Club and Golf Simulators for the Winter. Details to follow.. After completing the class practise, we finish with some breathing exercises and releaxation, to help quiten the mind and endorce calmness which is believed to help sharepn the mind and encourage a happy peaceful attitute to life.
