Education Data Hub - Data Security To all things Cyber Whilst the DPO team were working with schools, they noticed that many schools also needed help assessing and understanding their data security compliance levels. So the Cyber Support Service was born, with the team quickly achieving recognition for its pioneering work with schools, and who we are proud to say now work alongside the DfE, the National Cyber Security Centre and IASME, supporting schools in achieving cyber resilience and to work towards the national Cyber Essentials certification.

Jackie’s unexpected journey from teaching assistant to becoming Headteacher of a large secondary school has taught her what is possible for all of us. Throughout her career in primary and secondary schools, she has had a passion for empowering children and colleagues to find their innate resilience through managing their thinking. This is because she has experienced for herself what happens when we develop the habits of fearless thinking. For this work both nationally and internationally, she was awarded an OBE in 2002. Following headship, she started her own training and coaching company working with a wide range of school and business leaders and their teams. Jackie believes coaching is the most powerful way to help leaders thrive at work and at home. Her own experience has shown her that challenging our thinking habits can make us successful, healthy and happy – in mind and body. Jackie’s inspiring self-development book ‘GROW – Change your mindset change your life’ has recently been republished in the USA and she has written many other books for teachers and school leaders including ‘The Complete Learner’s Toolkit’ which offers lessons in mind management for young people. Jackie loves to deliver inspiring keynotes and workshops that share her own journey and the strategies that create lasting change. Her one to one coaching, delivered in person or online, is truly transformational and includes online support and follow up resources that embed thinking habits that make us stronger and wiser.

We are passionate about wellbeing and holistic learning. Our coaching helps people excel academically and to cultivate a growth MINDSET and growth HEARTSET. We believe having this balance of the head (rational intelligence) and heart (emotional intelligence), together with the gut (physical intelligence) as the keystone, is the secret to unlocking your genius and resiliency. We have supported our children with a holistic approach to education, which we call compassionate based learning. This experiential learning has seen our children develop from building blocks to scholarship and bursaries at an independent school and securing offers to read at Oxbridge. Along this journey we have learnt a lot that we thought would help other parents and their children. We have often been asked for help and advice and we’d share the best of what we learnt, and we would often be told we should coach for a living. So, that’s what we did: we left our pharmacy and IT careers, and after qualifying from gold star training providers, undertaking hours of self-study to compliment the face to face training, and gaining the requisite hours for accreditation by coaching pro-bono we have developed our own unique coaching system to help children bring out the genius within themselves. Fast Progress Tuition (FPT) is a specialist unregistered Alternative Provision for children who suffer from Emotionally-Based School Absence (EBSA). We build confidence, self-esteem and resilience in a controlled educational setting meaning that secondary complications of EBSA are prevented: education is not compromised and our students are able to take huge steps forward in both social and academic environments. Every child who attends FPT has a different academic pathway and social goals, all of which are developed in parallel with each other, resulting in a child who is active, confident and feels like they can achieve in different environments. FPT are on the Alternative Provision Directory for both Essex County Council and Southend Council.
