London

We are a fully inclusive and very successful inner city Church of England school for girls. I hope this website will give you a flavour of the amazing range of opportunities available here to our students, as well as a sense of our proud history and exciting future. With roots that can be traced back to 1562, and only six headteachers in the last 116 years, we provide an educational environment of stability and tradition that enables our whole community to learn from the very best of our shared heritage. Our students consistently achieve outstanding results, and many have gone on to study at the most prestigious universities in the UK, including Natural Sciences at Cambridge, PPE at Oxford, Physics at Manchester, and Art at Central St Martins. Last year, four of our sixth formers went on to study medicine – unmatched in South London. We are proud of this great academic success but that is far from the whole story of SSSO. We are a community with shared values rooted in our faith, and we work closely with a range of partners as well as parents to ensure our students have opportunities to grow in to confident, caring and successful young women. They learn to value themselves and others, to become participants in a greater community. St Saviour’s girls are generous with their time and energy, supporting their peers as mentors, school councillors and house captains, and they raise thousands of pounds each year for charities in the local and international community. Our students’ success in every aspect of their development is supported and encouraged by a dedicated and highly skilled staff, who give freely of their time and energy to ensure every St Saviour’s girl has the opportunity to excel. Through the formal curriculum and in the vast range of extra-curricular provision, we believe every girl will find something to challenge and inspire her. I am proud to have been the headteacher of this school since 2013, grounded in our traditions and our values which were established in 1903, we offer exciting and innovative educational opportunities which will allow your daughter to flourish.

Trust House Lancashire

trust house lancashire

Trust House Lancashire is a Specialist Rape and Sexual Assault Support Centre based in Preston and working across the county to deliver a range of services to support survivors of any kind of sexual violence to recover from their experience of abuse. Trust House was established in 2013 with funding awarded to The Survivors Trust who project managed the setup of Trust House. This was in recognition of the gap in specialist provision across the county, and to offer a range of services to survivors in Lancashire. Service delivery commenced in April 2014 and this last year has seen us complete our fifth year of service delivery. Trust House delivers a range of services to men, women, children from aged 4 years and their families; • Counselling • Play Therapy • Art Therapy • Pre-trial Therapy • Family Support • Parent Peer Support Group • Creative Wellbeing Group • Training • Volunteer Placement Opportunities Trust House is committed to empowering survivors and their supporters to work through and beyond their experience of abuse. We recognize the uniqueness of individual experience, and appreciate that each experience demands an individual and creative response. We support working in ways that; • Recognize human dignity • Appreciate the variety of human experience • Demonstrate a commitment to showing justice in dealing with others • Encourage continual development and improvement of professional knowledge. Until 2014 there was limited specialist support available to survivors of sexual violence and abuse in Lancashire. Trust House was established by a Ministry of Justice grant in recognition of this gap in specialist provision. Since April 2014 Trust House has seen an increasing number of survivors of rape and sexual assault seek their support. Many of those coming to Trust House are seeking support for the first time and have never disclosed or reported previously. We are able to understand the therapeutic needs of individuals that have experienced a high level of trauma as a result of sexual violence whilst also able to successfully navigate complex criminal justice processes in a way that holds clients and ensures their resilience at a time of immense distress. Our successful establishment over our first few years has led to our independent registration with the charity commission in October 2017, and a transition to an independent CIO over the last 18 months.

Pudsey Grangefield School

pudsey grangefield school

Overview Welcome from the Headteacher Equality Objectives Governors Promoting British Values Prospectus Values and Ethos Our History About Us Pudsey Grammar School is a heavily oversubscribed mixed comprehensive secondary school located in the heart of Pudsey. Distance shot - school building (Small) The school has over 1200 students with a thriving Sixth Form of 180 students, all taught in a state of the art building. The innovative and unique design of the building creates a calm atmosphere, very different to that of many secondary schools. The school has a long tradition in the town being established in 1905. It met in the town hall until the first purpose-built school known as Pudsey and District Secondary and Technical School was opened in 1911. The school subsequently became known as Pudsey Grammar School. Although the school is taught in a state of the art building, our core values are highly traditional based on the goal of ensuring that every student reaches their true potential. Our school is not just about the students gaining knowledge and qualifications although these are extremely important. We believe in teaching young people core values of decency, social skills and how to be a good citizen in an ever changing world. We want their character to develop and grow and for them to leave us with an inquiring and independent mind. We want our students to gain the best qualifications they are capable of whilst experiencing a range of opportunities which are second to none. As a result, the school is extremely popular with our community and is significantly over-subscribed every year. Our Sixth Form has grown in recent years and we now have 180 post-16 students studying at Pudsey Grammar. This allows us to run a range of courses and provides our staff with valuable experience teaching subjects at this level. Our staff are exceptional in their dedication and commitment to the students. Relationships in the school are extremely strong and this underpins the ethos of the school. We have an excellent pastoral system with a team of dedicated staff who provide support to our students in a number of ways. We have Form Time every morning. This provides every student with a teacher who can support them every single day. In addition to this we have a non-teaching Year Leader for each year group who works closely with students, parents and staff to provide further support and guidance. Teaching and learning is the key focus of the organisation and everything that we do is designed to ensure that the classroom experience for the students is excellent. We pride ourselves in the fantastic support and professional development that we offer to staff which ensures that they are equipped with all the necessary skills to deliver excellent lessons to the students on a daily basis. We have an excellent record in preparing our students with the necessary skills to allow them to go on to their chosen career paths. We have well established links with universities and encourage students from an early age to consider going to university. We also hold information evening for parents regarding the benefits of sending a young person to university if it is the right path for them. As direct result of this is that we sent 24% of our Year 13 students to the prestigious Russell Group of universities. We also have strong links with local colleges and employers which ensures that our students are extremely well prepared for their chosen career paths when they leave. The school is also a Foundation Trust school and our partners include global companies such as HSBC bank, the IT company RM, Warwick University which is member of the Russell Group of UK universities, alongside leading local business and training providers Appris and the Place group. The school has already felt the benefit of these links with many staff completing MAs through Warwick University. We will be further developing the work of the Trust over the next year so that more staff and students experience the benefits of these excellent links. Pudsey Grammar School has a long and proud history of being a school at the heart of the local community, providing an education which has allowed our students to leave not only with excellent qualifications but also fully equipped and prepared to realise their aspirations in the next phase of their lives.
