Cheshire Woodworking was established in 2012 by Ciarán Ó Braonáin, a furniture designer and woodwork teacher from Dublin, Ireland. Ciarán’s passion for hand-crafted woodwork has inspired beautiful pieces for shooting, home and hospitality for clients across Cheshire and the UK. From his workshop on the Sandstone Trail in rural Cheshire, Ciarán specialises in combining hand-crafted techniques with new, precision technology thanks to the EU LEADER Fund investment. Seeking out the finest raw materials, including high-grade woods, feathers and leathers, he works closely with clients to understand their ideas and uses his expertise to create unique pieces tailor-made to their requirements. Ciaran's expertise was recently called upon by the BBC for their latest hit television series, Jay's Yorkshire Workshop. The show, on BBC2, involved Ciaran and two other experts, along with their two apprentices, designing and creating bespoke wooden gifts for individuals or organisations nominated for their acts of kindness in the community.

Raven's Den Music School is a project that we have wanted to start for many years. Through the experience of countless music lessons as both teachers and students, we have noted the pitfalls which can lead to students becoming demotivated or even giving up on music entirely. We do not want to see students become discouraged by being forced to learn a style or an instrument which is not for them. We believe a student's relationship with music should be allowed to flourish organically around their interests. Raven’s Den was born out of our desire to take our years of practical knowledge and challenge ourselves to address these common issues that we know many music students encounter. Our goal is to help our students cultivate their own musical visions and ideas so that they can become the musician they wish to become. We believe everyone has their own musical story to tell, let us help you to tell yours.

An Inclusive Future CIC is a small not-for-profit organisation with big ideas to make a positive difference working with local communities. AIF CIC Directors have extensive professional experience (through previous and existing external paid roles) of effectively engaging with communities facing a wide range of disadvantage and barriers to social inclusion. AIF CIC has to date been involved in a wide range of projects including Peer Mentoring and Social Care Support Plans in West Lancashire. Due to the professional experiences and values of the Directors, AIF CIC is now very keen to broaden its support services due to the clearly growing local community need and the increasingly negative impact of economic austerity and cuts in public services. AIF CIC also believes the organisation can offer a very flexible approach to working with different communities of interest, as the Directors collectively have extensive experience working with children and families, vulnerable adults, adults with mental health difficulties, ex-offenders and prisons, unpaid carers.

One of the UK’s first community owned farms Ffarm Moelyci has, since 2003, pioneered the idea that community ownership can play a part in how farming both grows good food and nurtures strong communities. With 390 acres of superb wildlife the farm includes a wide range of habitats including: The 220 acres of SSSI heath-land mountaintop; Gwynedd’s finest grasslands for finding fungi. This rich environment is the backdrop to the new era at Ffarm Moelyci. In 2018, after a long period of uncertainty, the farm was sold on the open market to a consortium Ymlaen Moelyci. Ymlaen Moelyci is a consortium of 10+ individual landowners who work collaboratively to make Ffarm Moelyci a success. Each member is able to drive their business to success on their own land, whilst all coming together to pool ideas, inspiration and knowledge. Whilst now being privately owned, the farm can continue to provide benefits its community has come to love and much much more…

Although we met in a Spanish class years ago, we quickly discovered that as well as sharing a love of language learning, we were both mad crafters! The idea of setting up Handmade Workshops came about, as many things do, over a coffee one morning. Living in an area teeming with amazing artists and craft experts, we wanted to create a space to bring them together and give us all the opportunity to learn from their expertise, whilst at the same time having some fun and escape from daily life. And so Handmade Workshops was born! If you fancy trying out one of our workshops, have a look at our upcoming events – we’d love to see you there! Ok so... coffee drinking, glass crazy, mad cat lady with slight OCD tendencies about sums it up but I suspect you might want a more official version… hmmm let me see… My name is Becky Haywood, I love the wild places and our wonderful native flora and fauna and Im very lucky to live with my lovely husband and our 3 cats in the delightful English countryside in rural Shropshire. I am very passionate about what I do and what I do is glass, I melt it, etch it, carve it and generally play with it and cajole it into doing what I would like it to. I completed a glass degree back in 2009 and have been experimenting and working with glass ever since. I like to try out new ideas and techniques so amongst the pieces I have available you may notice the odd "where did that come from" piece slip in.
