ABOUT LEARN REIKI: Anna Rose has been teaching Reiki in Bristol since 2005, and has taught many hundreds of people on her unique transformational 12-week Reiki courses at St Paul’s Learning Centre in the heart of Bristol. For 7 years Anna taught these life-changing Reiki courses for Bristol Council’s Adult Learning Service, helping people on low incomes who faced physical, mental or emotional health challenges. Always described by students as a gifted and inspirational teacher, she gained a huge reputation in Bristol for her exceptional Reiki courses. When Council budget cuts forced the closure of local community classes, Anna’s students begged her to go on teaching so they could finish their courses. She agreed, and LEARN REIKI was born, as Anna continued to teach her Reiki courses at St Paul’s Learning Centre. Anna’s courses were usually oversubscribed by word of mouth recommendation, as people travelled from all over the city and further to join. Friends and family noticed the life affirming changes in our students, and hearing the secret of their transformation naturally wanted to learn this amazing skill for themselves. Anna’s policy is never to turn away anyone who wants to learn Reiki, because she knows people are only brought to Reiki when the time is right. So she had to run additional classes each term to meet the demand. In 2018 she decided the answer was to train other people to teach her transformational Reiki courses, so she began training Reiki Masters in the Anna Rose Reiki School. Today we have a thriving Reiki School with professional experienced teachers trained by Anna to teach her Reiki Level 1 & 2 courses just as she teaches them, using exactly the same techniques, resources and materials. All our teachers have spent over 2 years training to teach Anna’s unique 12-week Reiki programs, and learnt Reiki with us as students themselves. Now Anna personally trains our most advanced Level 3 students on the 1-year Reiki Master Chakra Course, supervises the training and development of our excellent teachers, and runs the Reiki School. Her passionate love of Reiki and dedication to transforming lives is evident in all our courses, and carried on today by the passion and dedication of our teachers.

Poppy Loves London

poppy loves london

Hello and welcome! I’m delighted you found me here in my little corner of the internet. When I started blogging in 2010 on a very clunky laptop, I had no clue at all that Poppy Loves London and all that it encompasses, would become my full time and very much loved job. Here you’ll find me writing about things I love now and have loved over the years, including my favourite fashion finds, travel destinations, recipes, homeware and coffee haunts. I’ve written endlessly about cosy cafes to hide away in and fancy restaurants for celebrations, my latest beauty finds, bakeries (the cake!) gorgeous interiors, books I’ve adored and all things knitwear. Oh, and jumpsuits. (Oh, and dresses…) And of course, you can’t shut me up about my home city, London. What a place it is… I have over a decade of experience in working in branding, social media and communications so I understand the influencer world from both sides, which has been incredibly valuable over the years and has meant that I have been able to work with and support some of my favourite brands and businesses. If you are interested in working with me, please see this page. Having this background in business has also enabled me to set up my Instagram Masterclasses for Small Businesses and my Instagram Course for Small Businesses. Helping people drive more business and revenue via their Instagram accounts is something I’m immensely proud of – I’ve loved every second. I live in Walthamstow, London with my husband and daughter, Isabelle, who was born in 2018. After a fairly traumatic few months for us all, while she suffered enormously with reflux, we all popped out the other end with a huge sigh of relief and she is now a proper walking, talking human and the funniest person I know. She can also out-eat me in crumpets, which you should know, is exceptionally impressive. Thank you for all your support over the years, through the ups and downs, through pregnancy and pandemics – it’s been such a pleasure to write for you all and I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings… Eva x

During the 60’s he traveled extensively throughout the Orient studying many different styles of martial arts. In keeping with yankee ingenuity and American tradition he took the best 7 major martial arts forms and combined them into one new powerful and effective style which is known as the Red Dragon style of martial arts. Red Dragon is a true “American Original.” Founded in 1965 by former U.S. Marine Corp military police officer and 10th degree black belt, Louis D. Casamassa. During the 1950’s, he traveled throughout the land studying with a wide variety of masters in many different styles of martial arts. He spent decades gaining knowledge, and wisdom along with a wealth of business information to enhance his ever expanding martial arts skill. In keeping with Yankee ingenuity and American tradition he used the 7 best major martial art styles and combined them into one new, very powerful and effective style which is now known as the Red Dragon style of Martial Arts. Our brand and our system of martial arts was founded upon Grand Master Casamassa’s love of the Arts. We have flourished for over half a century because of his ingenuity. Shihan Sensei Casamassa is considered by many to be the “Michelangelo of Martial Arts” by taking and combining his knowledge, talent, ingenuity and wisdom, he created an entire system of self defense that is unrivaled and one that has stood the test of time and has provided generations of Americans with a great way of experiencing the Martial arts. The Red Dragon Karate program is unique because of our original approach at mixing the best martial arts styles. Today, we are widely considered the original “Mixed Martial Art,” Red Dragon Karate continues to grow because of our focus on developing the best trainers and instructors who instill character based “Life Skills” in our students. I first took up silk painting at the 2001 Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, when the Fabric Colour Workshop were doing taster sessions. I went with curiosity, and came home with a large frame, some silk, a brush and a box of little bottles of paint! Since then, I have completed my City and Guilds qualification in creative textiles (silk painting), and the "Access to Art & Design" Diploma at the University for Creative Arts in Farnham. I enjoy teaching silk painting and helping each student to achieve their potential. I have written tutorials on aspects of silk painting for Crafts Beautiful Magazine and Creative Crafting Magazine, and contributed three projects to "Craft", which was published by Dorling Kindersley. I appeared (briefly!) on Paul Martin's Handmade Revolution (BBC2), and was interviewed by the Victoria & Albert Museum as part of a project on traditional crafts. I have run silk painting workshops for many local organisations including Watts Gallery, The Lightbox, The West End Centre in Aldershot, Amberley Museum, Woking College, NADFAS, The Embroiderers' Guild, the Guild of Weavers Spinners & Dyers, and the WI. I have also run introductory evening workshops for a number of local businesses, and many private parties. I have also been working in fused glass and ceramics since 2009, and have my own home workshop. I have been on a number of courses at Glasszoo, UCA Farnham, Warm Glass and The Glass Hub, and have also attended workshops at the International Festival of Glass. I have been featured in the Glass Beadmakers UK Magazine and Journal. I am a member of the Guild of Silk Painters. I set up their Surrey Branch in 2005. I have also spent time on the Guild of Silk Painters Executive Committee as their Vice Chairman and, more recently, as their Publicity Officer. My silk painting courses are also listed on craftcourses.com. I produce a range of hand made accessories and homewares from hand painted silk and fused glass, suitable for all occasions. Please do let me know if you have any questions. You can also visit www.surreycelloteacher.co.uk to find out about my other work.
