Studio Eleven is a gallery, studio and workshop space. We offer specialist studio space for ceramicists and a shared workshop for printmaking. Events include artists talks, performances, workshops, hire of the studio space and a rolling programme of exhibitions featuring contemporary ceramics and painting. The gallery at number 12 comprises of a main space for wall-based and plinth mounted work, and six display cases. The workshop space is situated on the first floor which also consists of a large, shared studio space with potters wheels and a large print press. Studio Eleven was a Hull City of Culture 2017 partner. A strategic partner in developing the bid and the wider promotion of Hull as a Culture City with interventions exhibited in London and beyond by Adele Howitt. During 2017 we delivered a contemporary exhibition programme with events, workshops, and special performances by Hull Time Based Arts.

The overarching aim for Sliabh Beagh Arts is the development and implementation of a series of community Arts programmes which address the social, creative, economic, cultural, environmental and good relations needs within the area. We are dedicated to providing high quality arts activity, promoting the use of creativeness as a means of enriching the lives of the rural communities involved. Our programs aim to promote the importance of our physical and personal environment, looking to the rural for inspiration and exploring the culture in AgriCULTURE. All of our projects are innovative and we try to bring something special to the area every year. Grafitti Bales We took the mundane and brought some colour and brightness to the plain old stacks Gate weaves Gateweaves These gate weaves were created by several different communities who worked together during dark evenings Painting With Light Painting With Light Working with several different artists the task of running through dark places at night became a creative pleasure Mini Worlds Mini Worlds Seeing quality in the everyday local objects, local photographer Max Carnson brought this project to life Storytelling Through Song We have searched through our library of song to tell stories that are educational to hear. One of our goals this year is to include dance in our project. We will be experimenting with the concept of Sound, Motion, Dance, Projection and Poetry. We have scheduled classes with children in schools from the area . . . we have choirs preparing their voices to be heard. . . the technology of motion and sound is being prepared . . . the poetry of education motion through time and distance is being written. With 11 years of teaching experience, she delivers photography courses and workshops privately in 1-1 sessions or in small groups in live classes or online. They are designed to help you express your creative potential with the medium of photography. With significant experience in exhibiting fine art photography, Eva can also help in supervising student projects working towards an exhibition and bringing their work to the public. University all-levels study support is also available in understanding photography theory, dissertation writing and creative practice development.

An interdisciplinary UK based visual artist, educator and researcher exploring the potential breaking disciplinary boundaries and finding new ways to approach communication. Exploring how art and science can come together to benefit our health and wellbeing. Sarah has a personal interest in Neurology and Neuro diversity due to having drug resistant Epilepsy. Artist's Practice: Sarah L Goy MA, (Dis) - Animation Production. Sarah initially studied Fine Art and then Natural History Illustration, she now embraces the potential of the moving image. Her focus has always been on emotions, nature and her environment, with a specialisation in drawing and painting from life. Inspired by her travels she aims to capture every day moments in her sketch books, which are the foundations for all her other works. Although taking an analogue and tactile approach to her practice Sarah has become interested in the possibilities and potential of technology, experimental animation and the moving image and how they might be used beyond pure entertainment. This became part of her post graduate research in 2021 and continues to be the core of her research interest. As a visiting lecturer at Arts University Bournemouth ( AUB) and Southampton Art Gallery, she creates and presents new courses, with the emphasis on ' art for all'. Encouraging students to enjoy the process of creating and getting in touch with their inner child. Sarah also creates and runs online art therapy styled creative sessions, again, encouraging a sense of play through which new skills are gained, whilst encouraging a sense of community and inclusivity.

Karen enjoys working with a range of painting and drawing media, including printmaking, sometimes combining these to create mixed media images. Each type of medium brings its own exciting possibilities and unique qualities, something she continually explores. Her interest in Printmaking developed at Kendal College whilst completing a Foundation Degree in Drawing with the University of Cumbria. She finds the quality of the marks produced particualrly fascinating and experiencing the reveal is one of the joys of working with printmaking processes Her work has been exhibited in galleries in Cumbria and Lancashire over the last 25 years and she has been involved with projects including Printfest, C-Art and Go Herdwick. Karen is an experienced qualified teacher and has been teaching art in the adult education sector since 2011. She teaches for large organisations as well as running classes for private groups and individuals. Greywalls Studio, Lindale, has recently become her studio home, a perfect creative base in lovely Cumbria.

Nottingham Society of Artists is one of the oldest and most successful art societies in the country, founded in 1880. Our aim is to bring together artists and others interested in the Visual Arts who are resident in Nottingham and district. The Society has a proud history of distinguished members whose works can be seen in major national art institutions, whilst other members' works can be found in practically every regional art gallery in the country, including Nottingham Castle. The home of the Nottingham Society of Artists is St Luke's House, pictured left, a three storey Art Deco building in Friar Lane, close to the picturesque setting of Nottingham Castle in the centre of Nottingham. St Luke's House was built for the Society in 1934. It has 4 floors including a basement, gallery, education studio, and members studio. Our studio groups practice Life, Clothed Model, Portrait and Still Life drawing and painting and meet six days and three evenings a week.

My practice has evolved to include a variety of media. I work with natural inks, watercolours and oils; often combining these with drawn elements, print and collage. Taking a process-led approach through open-ended drawing and painting, my own experience and understanding of nature sustains an individualistic, painterly language. Visualising formal content for abstract work, I allow elements to take their time and rely on my mind’s eye as a guide, unaware of the outcome. Studio experimentation on a range of surfaces generates a family of diverse but connected artworks. This ‘what if?’ process embraces a notion of becoming; something is caught, glimpses perhaps from a kind of reverie, half-dreamed. Often coupling the familiar with the unfamiliar, the paintings I make can be read as a string of things, as a syntax of forms. Analogous to language; the work occupies the space between word and image, voice and brush-mark, sentence and form.
