We currently run 5 of school clubs across North Edinburgh and 2 in Juniper Green. Please see individual clubs for specific details on each. All of our clubs are registered with the Care Inspectorate and all of our workers are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council. Our clubs offer children a wide range of fun and exciting learning opportunities based on their needs and interests. They also provide space for children to relax and spent time with their friends. A typical activity programme will offer children opportunities for indoor and outdoor play consisting of a mixture of board games, arts and crafts, loose parts, sports, music and outings. We actively promote children’s participation, not only in the planning, delivery and evaluation of our activity programmes but also in wider aspects of the clubs such as recruiting new members of staff and buying resources. During holiday periods we take children on outings and encourage them to try out new experiences such as abseiling and canoeing. We have fully trained Forest School leaders within our staff team who offer additional opportunities for adventurous outdoor experiences. A healthy snack is included in our fees. On Fridays and during holiday periods children are required to bring a packed lunch. Youth Options support children and young people across three key areas which focus on community youth work, targeted support, and providing opportunities for future development. We also run a variety of affordable childcare opportunities including preschools, and breakfast, after school, holiday clubs, and nature clubs. As a youth charity for children and young people facing specific issues, we offer one to one and group support focusing on achieving outcomes. Our work includes working with children and young people with additional needs, not engaging with learning, struggling with confidence and resilience particularly around key transition moments such as from primary to secondary school, living in care or moving on from the care system.

The Chamberlain School of English is a small English family business that has been offering language trips for students (13-17 years old) to Eastbourne on the south coast of England during the school holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia (Easter/Summer) since 1984. During a language trip with us, the students can learn English at the same time as spending a wonderful holiday: specific English lessons in the morning, a varied leisure and entertainment program in the afternoon and evening, trips to London and Brighton and accommodation with English families - extensive language holidays at a fixed all-inclusive price. Thanks to our many years of experience, we know what makes a successful language trip for students. During each language trip there is always only one group. Since we have a limited number of students for each course, we get to know the children within a very short time and the students also quickly make new friends. Our very carefully selected host families for the language trip mostly live near the school or can be reached quickly by bus. The families are nice, open-minded and take good care of our students. We have a great English team of supervisors who are involved in all language travel activities and excursions. This also gives the students plenty of opportunity to use and improve their English in their free time. The teachers are experienced and adapt their lessons to the needs of the students. The small classes make it possible to support the students individually and to respond to the language difficulties of each individual. Our school building , Gildredge Manor , is a beautiful old manor house ideally situated in a lovely park setting close to the town centre. Not only the lessons take place here. We also host our entertainment afternoons and evenings here. Gildredge Manor isn't just home for our language study trips - we live here too, so our door is always open to our students.

Our company Planet Soccer, and its sister company Sports7, is hugely passionate about sports and ensuring all children develop a level of physical competence and team work that will equip them for life. Planet Soccer was established in 1999 as a football coaching company for children from 5-18 years old but we now teach a variety of sports in PE lessons in schools and coach football, as well as other sports, during before & after school clubs. We also provide holiday camps in a range of schools that we coach in. We established the name Sports7 for our PPA teaching and some of our sports clubs so that schools and parents understand that we coach a wide variety of sports in addition to football.
