Airdrie

Hello! Welcome to our website! Who are we? In 2014 Imagine That Drama Classes began with a simple objective – to offer quality, affordable drama classes for the young people of Airdrie. Over the years our classes have grown from strength to strength and in 2020 we became Imagine That Performing Arts Ltd. Our own studios are now located in the most beautiful listed building at the heart of the community. Our students work with our qualified, experienced tutors from the performing arts industry as well as a range of industry experts from across the UK to reach their potential. Imagine That Performing Arts bridges the gap between ‘drama clubs’ and performing arts education. Our range of classes and the opportunities we offer ensure that all students needs are catered for, whether you are just looking for a new hobby or if you want to pursue a career in the arts. We pride ourselves in the opportunities we offer to our students. All students take part in regular productions, as well as theatre trips, casting opportunities, and masterclasses. Check out our blog to see some of our recent activities! Our students have gone on to star in TV shows, Hollywood films, and to pursue their dreams studying Music and Musical Theatre at university and college. We strongly believe that youth theatre should not be bad theatre. We want our young people to have the opportunity to perform in quality productions that they can feel proud of. We imagine a society that realises how important the arts are. We imagine a generation who believe in themselves. We imagine a world where having fun is a priority. We imagine a world where you are able to truly express yourself. We imagine a world where our imaginations can run wild and free! Imagine, Believe, Achieve! Imagine That Performing Arts.

We teach the world the art of truly living extraordinary, fulfilling, happy lives by helping to redefine the family relationships that shape us, the relationship we build with ourselves and everyone we journey with. “We’re constantly researching, exploring, and optimising family transformation to ultimately help us connect with ourselves, our children, our communities and the planet, in a way that transforms all our interactions with love.” Nicole Telfer, Founder of EmpoweredKidsTV At EmpowerLife Academy, learning is a lifelong adventure The EmpowerLife Academy curriculum is designed to reduce conflict in our families, help families heal and learn to connect more deeply than ever before. This way we raise a generation of kids that are open and eager for our guidance, kids that are confident, stepped in their own sense of self-worth and value, shares compassion for others and our planet. Kids that are truly Empowered to make the difference they want to see in our world. But beyond the tangible, there’s also something else going on beneath Empower Academy’s surface… Our teachers and families tell us there’s a certain magic in everything we do. A sense of joy, playfulness, love, and authenticity. Some have come to call this the ‘Connection Effect’ – and we’d like to think it’s a big reason why many of the world’s greatest teachers, from Byron Katie, Bruce Lipton, Gabor Mate, Gordon Neufeld, Shefali Tsabary, Dan Siegal (to name a few) choose to share their wisdom on our media and educational platforms. And why many people consider EmpoweredLife Academy not just a company – but an extension of their family.

Priority First Training

Dundee,

Priority Care was founded in 1987 by old friends and business partners, Andy Prior Snr. & Benny Reilly when they opened St Vigean’s Care Home in Arbroath. Caring for adults with learning disabilities, their focus from day one was to support and enable their clients in all aspects of their life whilst making them feel completely at home. Over the coming years Ben & Andy continued to develop and improve the company, acquiring and building new care homes in Tayside, Perthshire and Aberdeenshire. One of their proudest moments was opening their first purpose built facility, Harestane Care Home in 1995. Being built in Harestane Rd, Dundee this had a special meaning for Andy who had grown up with his brothers and sisters across the road and had many happy memories of playing along the Dighty Burn. By the late 90’s Andy & Ben’s sons and daughters had joined the family run business in a variety of different roles from caring to building maintenance. Andy’s eldest daughter, Veronica was appointed as Director of the groups care training company in 2005. Co-founder Ben left the company in 2010 after almost 25 years to pursue his passion for antiques opening a large antiques centre in Perthshire. Along with their team, Andy’s eldest son and daughter, Andy & Veronica have run the business since 2011 with a focus on maintaining the high quality of care Priority Care provides. On to its third generation, two of Andy Snr’s grandchildren now work in the homes. After being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, Andy Snr sadly passed away in Meigle Country House in 2018. Priority Care is his legacy which he, his good friend and family, along with their team, have worked tirelessly to build. Something we are all so proud of today. The Priority Care team is now almost 300 strong and cares for over 200 clients.

This site, along with its partner valentinesideasforher.com, is to honor and support the people, organizations and other entities interested in keeping the legacy of this great composer alive and well in the memories of those who have heard his magnificent classical music compositions and to ensure that his music continues to be performed. Though the great man himself has passed on his music will withstand the test of time. Our mission is to ensure that these great works do not get lost, so that millions more around the world can enjoy the beautiful works of Elgar. Our passion for classical music is the inspiration for this site. It is a passion that is shared by many but is at risk of being lost if the music is not preserved for current generations and those to follow to enjoy and appreciate. It is with the aim of ensuring both Elgar’s compositions and classical music in general do not lose their place in today’s world of music. Elgar is considered to be England’s greatest composer of his generation, if not of all time. His numerous works have been played through the decades at some of the most prestigious concert halls both in the United Kingdom and abroad. His continuing worldwide recognition as a composer of note is important not only to England but to the classical music world at large. We aim to encourage the continuing enjoyment of his music, both for musicians and for audiences alike. We encourage classical music enthusiasts of all ages to explore the works of the great composer and learn more about the interesting life Elgar lived, for he was not only a great composer but very competent as a musician and conductor, as well as a lover of literature. The man, his life, and his music must live on.

Paradice Ice Rink Avondale

PARADICE A BRIEF HISTORY One day in the early 1970’s Ross Blong, a farmer with imagination as it turned out, came home from a particularly unpleasant milking and told his wife Nell he had enough and wanted to find something different to do! After searching for a “people business” they decided on an ice skating rink in Glen Innes and purchased it in 1974. After a steep learning curve they established Paradice on the map as a great family entertainment facility in Auckland. By 1980 they had dreams of building New Zealand’s first international size indoor arena and had it up and running by May 1981 at our current Avondale location at Lansford Cresent. It has been popular ever since with families and as a “hang out” for teens and young adults. There have been several transformations since its opening with the most recent being completed in 2011 to include a state of the art ice floor, dasher boards and refrigeration system. By the late 1990’s the second family generation having being heavily involved in ice sports at an international level dreamed of a second, Olympic sized indoor ice rink, again a first for New Zealand, and it was built in 1999 at its current location Botany Downs. The rink is still going strong today. In 2012 Paradice owned and operated Auckland’s first temporary outdoor ice rink at Aotea Square which has turned into an annual winter wonderland type event with the addition of NZ’s first event ice slide in 2014. Our temporary ice rinks have expanded to Rotorua, Wellington, and Taupo. Through the years Paradice has operated as a family, customer focused friendly business with staff sharing their passion for people and ice with innovation!

Cheltenham Youth Theatre

Inspiring the next generation of theatre-makers. At CYT, we push tradition to one side and are renowned for making fresh, exciting, memorable physical theatre that truly celebrates the vibrant energy of our young people. We devise our own work and aim to break the mould in young people's theatre. We strongly believe that theatre is as much about the finished show, as the process it takes to get there. It's the friends you make, the challenges you overcome together, the voice you find, the creativity, passion and commitment. It's the memories that will stay with you forever and a way of working that will positively shape your future, in whichever direction you are headed. We are not your average stage school. Our theatre aims to thought-provoke and joy-evoke, exploring issues and themes relevant to young people today. Social and emotional development is at the very heart of our work, always striving to uplift, empower and inspire our performers and audiences. We have proudly taken part in National Theatre Connections eight times, performing vibrant new work at Parabola Arts Centre, Bristol Old Vic, Theatre Royal Bath and Royal & Derngate. To date, we have also performed at The Bacon Theatre's Open-Air Theatre Festival, The Wilson Art Gallery, Cheltenham Science Festival, Bristol Shakespeare Festival, the Brewery Quarter, JOLT International Theatre Festival and the Montpelier Fiesta! Not to mention enduring a Zombie Apocalypse and following the yellow brick road to Emerald City, and that's just for starters... CYT is a safe platform to express & discover who you want to be. We believe the arts should be enjoyable & accessible for all and pride ourselves on getting to know each young person individually, to nurture their ideas, talents and strengths. CYT is directed by Caroline Dean, Sam Harrison and a hub of associate theatre professionals who offer specialist master classes throughout the year.
