I came to Pilates after suffering from a herniated disc over 10 years ago. I toyed with classical and the not so classical approach to Pilates for years – from right back to the basics of the fundamentals of Pilates to a more flow/yoga inspired type of class. When I moved to Toronto in the Summer of 2016, I hit the studios hard and started practising 5/6 times a week, sometimes twice a day because I loved the studio and the style of teaching so much. A friend asked me if I had thought about doing my training…fast forward to 2018 and completing my Stott Pilates teacher training in Brighton! i am also pre and post Natal trained through Mama’s Pilates. I am training to be a Moving Fascia Teacher through Evolve Movement in Brighton I like to think the spiritual side of movement isn’t just saved for yoga. Come to my class for an hour of movement, fun and a great playlist! I think the playlist is such an important part of the class. I love feedback and want to cater to you – it’s a two way street, so don’t be afraid to let me know what you want to see in classes too. I look forward to seeing you on the mat!

About | Shelley Morrow During 2010 I took the plunge and became a full-time, self-employed artist. I also partnered with another artist, Jake Spicer, to create a dedicated studio for running life drawing classes in Brighton called Draw. Draw became a thriving community of artists, tutors and life models and my drawing, painting and teaching skills had the opportunity to flourish. Since the pandemic, like so many, I turned to teaching online, specialising in watercolour. I discovered some huge benefits of teaching virtually, for example my overhead webcam made clear demonstrations possible, and the opportunity arose to meet artists all over the world

Aspie Trainers West Sussex is a training service supported by Impact Advocacy Service since its launch in April 2014. As the name implies, we are a team of Aspies (adults diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome) who deliver training sessions across Sussex and Brighton and Hove, which focus on portraying what it’s like to live with an ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition). We are different because all of our training is designed and delivered by autistic people. From the start we wanted to make our training sessions fun, interactive, and full of useful suggestions on how to make services better for people living with an ASC (which now includes Asperger’s Syndrome).

Fast forward over seven years and she works as a sous chef & event manager for Jacqueline, whilst working in restaurants & other hospitality venues across London & Sussex. She was head chef for Jacqueline’s own wedding! Prior to being a chef Nikki worked as a youth practitioner and workshop facilitator. Once working in food she discovered she could combine her two passions and impart her love of food and cooking to others through teaching. Whilst living in Brighton she worked at Brighton cookery school developing classes & teaching groups up to thirty children & adults. Her dream one day is to work full time as a cookery teacher following the ethos of Positively delicious. Katie Chubb Marketing Manager Katie is a marketing manager with over a decade of experience in both digital and traditional marketing, she runs an agency called Runway that helps businesses "take off". Working from FTSE100 listed companies to start ups, she creates bespoke campaigns that are tailored to specific business needs and goals. She looks after everything from email, to PR, website content, and socials. Charlie Simpson Creative Executive Charlie is a content creator, that has worked with numerous individuals, businesses and artists on projects, that have gained reach world-wide. Charlie has worked with Jacqueline since the beginning, helping to maintain our Website and offer technical support. He is also an experienced food Videographer and Photographer.

Shiv Textiles is an independent, Brighton-based studio closing the loop on the fast-fashion industry. We rescue deadstock yarn destined for landfill and handcraft it into fine homewares, lifestyle accessories and sustainable weaving kits for you to give a new life at home. Meet the maker: Siobhan Martin Let me spin you a yarn… My studio is about weaving sustainability into the textiles industry. By putting a modern spin on a traditional craft, I want to show that it’s possible for us to enjoy quality products – pieces you really cherish – while minimising the impact we have on the planet too. Shiv Textiles was born in my bedroom in 2017. As an intern for big-name brands in the textiles and fashion industry, I’d been shocked by the amount of perfectly good materials going to waste. And I knew there had to be a better way. Fast fashion needs to take its foot off the pedal. So I began contacting mills and factories, buying their yarns, zips, threads, buttons – all destined for landfill – by the kilogram. And it’s from this that all those cushions, scarves and weaving kits are created. This process never gets beige-and-boring. You have to think on your feet. Design with what you have. Every box of upcycled materials that lands in my studio feels like a small victory. Buying with thought and care has never felt so important, and as I hope you’ll join me in honouring the lifecycle of our precious materials. And enjoy my textiles too.
