We are ambitious in our goals and the way in which we help those affected by domestic abuse. To tackle the root cause of domestic abuse we work directly with individuals who are being abusive. We make it our mission and our focus to identify the complexities behind violent, coercive and controlling behaviour to end the cycle of domestic abuse and reduce repeat victimisation. Too often the value of a perpetrator led approach is overlooked in favour of victim services due to the lack of evidence and lack of funding. Our decades of experience working with perpetrators, and subsequent results, has reinforced the belief that people can change. We have access to, and intelligence on, perpetrators outside of criminal justice that no other agencies have, enabling us to measure success rates as well being the first to intervene to ensure victim safety. We know that responding to domestic abuse is a challenge across all frontline services and we can’t do this alone. We work with a range of stakeholders across the voluntary and statutory sector to deliver what we know works. We are fortunate to have excellent partnerships with those sharing our passion to make a difference, no matter how hard it seems. We strongly believe the current criminal justice response to offenders needs reviewing. If we are to address the vulnerabilities associated with offending , and ultimately reduce offence rates, it requires a significant shake up. To that end we are not afraid to test new approaches evident in our innovative criminal justice interventions and the programmes we offer young adult offenders to consider their choices. We are currently exploring a trauma informed response to working with females in the criminal justice system.

H&F Training Hub The Training Hubs (previously CEPNs) are education and service providers based within the community. Training Hubs perform local educational needs assessments across Community and Primary Care networks. The Training Hub is tasked with increasing capacity for future workforce training and developing the current and future workforce around the needs of a geographically defined population. The Hammersmith & Fulham Training Hub works collaboratively with other stakeholders across North West London and receives grant income from Health Education England (HEE) for training, education and workforce development of primary care staff. Who is the Training Hub? The Hammersmith and Fulham Training Hub team consists of experienced nurses, pharmacists, GPs and project support. They work closely with all staffing groups in general practice and with Health Education England to share best practice and support the learning and development of staff across Hammersmith and Fulham. We run regular education forums, provide clinical supervision, mentoring and training. What does the Training Hub do? Hammersmith & Fulham Training Hub has four key strategic priorities: Support, develop and expand the scope and quality of clinical services delivered by the 28 GP practices in Hammersmith & Fulham. The delivery of training, education and workforce development projects to support recruitment and retention, and upskilling of the GP practice workforce, which includes all non-clinical practice staff. This also includes the further development of themed education hubs, each one hosted by a local GP practice, and facilitating shared resources across smaller practices to harness a wider workforce mix (e.g. pharmacy, physician associates, nursing associates) Development of a platform across GP practices that supports the development and implementation of accountable care principles. A transformational change programme for primary care locally. Most recently we have secured funding from RM Partners to run a Cervical Screening Project across Hammersmith and Fulham.

Also to establish exemplars for an environmentally sustainable society that promotes the wellbeing of all citizens. In particular we wish to set minimum standards for Garden Cities: 1. Being applied to establish new settlements or for transforming existing urban precincts; 2. To integrate the design of their invisible architecture of ownership, control and funding with their visible architecture to promote the common good; 3. That requires mutual ownership of all land to capture and share its value on negotiable basis with all residents be they homeowners or tenants; 4. To attracts investors, entrepreneurs, established and new businesses to add value to the community on basis that equitably shares any profits in excess of the incentive to invest; 5. With the capacity to become largely self-reliant in regards to the basic needs of its residents for water, food and energy and value adding activities to sustain citizen prosperity in perpetuity; 6. That inspires citizens, leaders, community groups, planners, architects and all other stakeholders to work together to a common vision of an ecologically sustainable, fair and equitable society. The New Garden Cities Alliance has been tasked by the signatories of the Letchworth Garden City Declaration to create a movement and organise the consensus to setup the mechanisms so that an agreed definition of what a Garden City is can take root and we can give new settlements the confidence to call themselves ‘Garden Cities’ if they meet a set of agreed social, planning and architectural criteria.

Eden’s Trust (registered charity No. 1136092) was set up by Elli Galvani after her daughter, Eden Galvani-Skeete, was tragically killed at a five star resort in Turkey in 2006 when an entertainment stunt went wrong. As the evening got underway, a wall of fire was lit but when a waiter tried to light a second line of fire, the bottle of flammable liquid he was holding caught alight and exploded, sending fireballs into the audience. Eden took the brunt of the explosion and was on fire from head to toe, suffering 70% burns. Two days later on 31 July 2006, after suffering two heart attacks and kidney failure, Eden died. She was just six years old. As Elli tried to come to terms with Eden’s death, she became painfully aware of a gap in specialised counselling so decided to set up support/survival groups and workshops especially for people who have lost a child. The groups, launched in May 2013, are FREE to attend thanks to special funding sourced by Elli. More information can be found on our Support Groups page. We also support bereaved children in a school setting and offer training courses to school staff on bereavement counselling and benefits of early intervention.'

Partnered with the Children’s University at the University of EAFIT (Universidad de Los Ninos de Universidad Escuela de Administración, Finanzas Instituto Tecnológico) in order to volunteer its skills, knowledge, and talents to expanding the reach of Children’s University via digital learning throughout not only Colombia but the whole of Latin America. Long Beach, the 7th largest city in California, is on one hand a city of great resources: culturally rich, boasting beautiful ecological features, and home to esteemed higher educational institutions. On the other hand, it is a city of great needs: facing high levels of poverty and its multiple effects, environmental pollution, and rising housing costs. Over the years, Long Beach has become “a tale of two cities,” where certain neighborhoods are characterized by the benefits and resources of affluence and other neighborhoods are bearing the brunt of low incomes, decreased resources, and the challenges of communities of poverty. *Slides & facts courtesy of the Long Beach Community Action Partnership, LBCAP.org Long Beach’s areas of affluence—concentrated primarily on the east side of Long Beach– are characterized by high annual median family incomes, longer life expectancy, higher employment levels, and overall community safety. Areas of critical need are concentrated primarily within North, West Central, and Southwest Long Beach. In 1999, West Dunbartonshire SIP commissioned research on the needs of local young people from Dumbarton, Vale of Leven and Clydebank. Findings highlighted overwhelming support for the introduction of some form of youth information service. A steering group, comprising local young people and adults was set up and the idea of a youth led information and support project; for young people by young people was developed with funding from West Dunbartonshire Partnership, Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire and Greater Glasgow NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. In January the Y Sort-It Youth Information Centre on Kilbowie road was launched with four full-time members of staff, led by a management committee made up of the young members of the steering group and this committee is still the main driving force for the project today(though its members have changed from year to year). In 2014 Y Sort-It moved to its huge new base located besides the Clydebank Hub on West Thomson Street. Where before the base had been a small and sometime cramped place to hold meetings and groups the new base was is now a massive difference and as such the opportunities are now boundless. So please if you’re in the area why not drop in and you can help us to continue making fantastic history for the young people of West Dunbartonshire. Our Facilities Y Sort It youth centre provides a dedicated youth friendly space with various weekly youth activities offered throughout the West Dunbartonshire are . Our Y Sort It outreach bus helps provide youth activities across the local communities of West Dunbartonshire and our unique Carbeth hut, the Gillie Dhu, provides an opportunity for young people and children to enjoy the outdoors located in the Carbeth Hutting Community, Stirlingshire. We also developed a local shop front into a bike maintenance work shop & training space for our StreetBikes initiative.
