After traveling seven seas, both geographically and professionally, Mairi started running Yoga with Mairi classes in central Scotland, in 2018, gradually growing a small but inclusive community of dedicated Hatha Yoga practitioners. Now getting close to 1000 of teaching hours delivered. Mairi started practicing Hatha Yoga 20 years ago, and had an honour to learn from many amazing teachers across the world. Her practice was, however, particularly influenced by the Bihar and Hridaya schools of Yoga, and this orientation led her to discover the Akasha Yoga Academy (Bali/Thailand), where she completed her 200hrs Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2017. Mairi also holds a First Class Certificate in Philosophy of Yoga, from Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies affiliated to the University of Oxford (2016). Besides that, and somewhat relevant to her teaching, Mairi holds a continental MD qualification from her first degree, and she is a Master of Science in social medicine from her second degree. She also holds a postgraduate qualification in Cultural and Gender Studies. Since her first qualification from the School of Medicine at the University of Belgrade (Serbia), and until recently, Mairi was an academic researcher in social medicine and medical sociology, and for some time, also a lecturer. She was specialising in qualitative research and understanding health and access to healthcare, with a particular interest in complexity theory, holistic health & integrative healthcare. Hello and welcome. My name is Jacqueline Rolls and I am an artist/sculptor who creates using willow and other natural materials. Being a self-taught artist with experience gained over many years. I create work using a variety of different techniques, many of which I have discovered myself. My creations are created with materials that I have either grown myself, purchased from other growers, gathered or salvaged myself. There is something quite special about working with a material that was once a living thing, the desire to connect and work with the materials that I use often feels as if I am breathing new life into my creations. Working in this way is akin to drawing and painting in many ways, layering, shaping, constraining and feeling free to express me to make mistakes and new discoveries. I sometimes incorporate other materials into my work including metal when it is needed e.g for bird legs or to give it strength for a public artwork that needs to be secured or needs additional strength. I also love sharing my passion for creating with others and so as well as creating work to sell I also provide my own range of workshops which are available via my workshop page I also work with many different organisations providing activities for public art /community engagement projects as well as providing private and bespoke activities for more details look at the relevant pages in the menu above.

As a family club, our philosophy is to make sailing available to all. Racing will be competitive and fun, providing entertainment and challenge across the field. Our racing credentials are well established and LESC is a highly sought after venue on the Traveller circuit with an excellent reputation for race management and organisation. And for those new to sailing, LESC has been an RYA Training Centre since and offers both adult and junior RYA dinghy, keelboat, and powerboat courses. Sailing is open to anyone, no matter what age or ability. You don't need to be able-bodied, or even a strong swimmer. Our sailability section seeks to raise awareness in the disability community of the tremendous benefits that sailing can provide and aims to help people with a disability get on the water at Loch Earn. We also use the IOCA class association Optimist or Oppy, the children's sailing dinghy, to support our youngest juniors in sessions on various Sunday mornings during the summer months to provide a more informal and practical introduction to sailing and racing in particular. Older children move on to the Topper dinghy. It's difficult to provide an age-based guidelines for these groups: with attitude and water-confidence the main attributes needed to enjoy dinghy sailing; some are ready to start as young as five, others will enjoy the fishing, swimming, camping, and all the other benefits of our family club!

We hold approved centre status with two awarding bodies, so that we can offer both accredited and non-accredited programs to suit your organisations training needs. Our mission is simple; to make the joy of dance accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, experience or ability. To fulfill this goal and, as a consequence, disrupt the status quo of more conventional dance school offerings, we incorporate the following founding principles. Performance First, (Optionally) Exams Later Students come to us with varying aspirations regarding what they want to achieve during their time with us. Some may simply want to dance for the pure joy of it, and to express themsleves in ways they otherwise couldn’t. However, others may prefer to progress through a formal track of examinations. We believe performance underpins dance as an art form, and we ensure our students get every chance to partake in performances throughout the year (if they wish), whether that be a relatively informal one at one of our many community events, or on stage at one of our annual showcases! Diverse Age Ranges We don’t shy away from the fact that we’re a young school (we were founded in May 2021); instead, we embrace it. As such, our current class structure incorporates a slightly wider age range than you’d perhaps normally encounter. What we’ve found however, is this results in a positive dynamic being formed between younger and older students; younger students look up and take direction from older students, and older students adopt the role of a mentor, helping and looking after younger students.

I’m a proud mum to 3 wonderful children, and a senior trained nurse with a 15+ year career history within the NHS. My kids transformed my life in so many ways and this led to my passion for nurturing, enriching and helping other women in their motherhood journey. My background is in nursing and caring for the elderly. I started my career as a care home assistant before I trained to become a registered nurse at Kings College, London where I graduated with a BSc Honours Degree in Nursing Studies. I’ve worked at St. George's Hospital in Tooting, The Croydon Community Healthcare Trust and Central Middlesex Hospital in Park Royal. My nursing roles have varied greatly and include: Orthopeadics, Elderly Hospital-at-Home, Palliative Care (the most beautiful experience), and also Pharmaceutical Research as a Senior Nurse Trainer. In addition to my nursing degree, I am also fully trained in Antenatal and Postnatal Education (both NCT and NHS). This includes Pre & Postnatal Pilates, Pregnancy Yoga Exercises (NCT and Wheel of Yoga Teachers), Baby Massage and Baby Yoga (Accredited by the Royal College of Midwives), and Birth Trauma Support. A full list of my qualifications is shown below. My experience and my love for facilitating group learning led me to set up BellyTots in 2018, to offer a truly holistic approach for supporting mums and mums-to-be through their pregnancy journey and beyond. I continue to teach Antenatal Classes for the NCT and the NHS.

Redesign the gardens and grow our own vegetables and create a woodland adventure and help educate a better way of eating to aid the poverty situation that is arising. Support young and unemployed people into quality local jobs at both the John Summers site and further into the community. Provide a sustainable hub for the community, local business and the third sector to meet and collaborate and work on joint projects. To create a museum that celebrates the vast History of the Area that will educate those that follow on the Heritage of the Area and its manufacturing legacy. To create a STEAM environment that is open for all where families, individuals and young people can learn together in their own time and pace.

However, all of our activities are ‘open to all’, and we welcome everyone to participate. We currently have several projects to promote mental wellbeing. Please see below to learn about the projects and visit their respective websites. KIRAN Legal - Free Legal Help This is a pilot project by KIRAN Cymru. We help financially disadvantaged BAME members in Wales by offering free legal support (Benefits, Housing and employment) and interpretation/translation services in Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Sylheti, Punjabi and Gujrati. Please visit, kiranlegal.co.uk for more information. Friends in Need - Befriending Service This is a pilot project by KIRAN Cymru. Since March 2020, we have been helping BAME people in Cardiff with their day-to-day needs, i.e., grocery shopping. We also ring elderly community members regularly to keep in touch and overcome loneliness through our befriending service. Our ‘Friends in Need’ service helps BAME people in Wales to connect with other people and fight social isolation. Our Communities Our Strength - Wellbeing for BAME People This is a project by KIRAN Cymru. This project started in March 2021. We aim to combat the adverse effects of COVID 19 pandemic by creating regular and structured opportunities for BAME community members to connect with each other through virtual meet-ups, games, and cultural activities. We offer various opportunities for all BAME people in Wales to connect with other people in virtual social meet-ups, e.g., book clubs, bridge clubs, learning musical instruments, e.g., Piano and Tabla. There is also a community musical group for you to join. As a part of this project, we have started an English Online Magazine called Story Cloud. All community members are encouraged to take part in creative writing. KIRAN Cymru offers free guidance and training on ‘Creative Writing’. It is a beautiful skill and can improve the confidence and self-esteem of the writer. Please get in touch with us if you want to take part in creative writing. Story Cloud will publish the selected short stories, poetry and feature written by community members. Apart from the above, we offer other befriending services for local communities.
