Swimming has always been a part of my life. My mum was a swimming teacher so taught me from a very young age. She also introduced me to the open water side over a decade ago and I was instantly hooked. I love everything about being in the open water; from seeking out quick dips in beautiful wild places, to pushing my limits over distance or in races, to swapping stories over steaming mugs of post-swim hot chocolate. I also love triathlon and have been lucky enough to stand on the podium a number of times as well as competing in five age group World Championship races, with a best place finish of 4th. I’m an STA Level 2 Open Water Swimming Coach and Swimming Teacher, a Mountain Leader, and an RLSS Beach Lifeguard. I also have degrees in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience and Translational Neuroscience, and a keen interest in performance psychology and exercise for mental health and rehabilitation. I set up Swim Snowdonia to reflect my personal values and passion for all aspects of swimming. To showcase the many incredible and diverse wild swimming locations in North Wales. To provide a safe, supportive and fun environment for swimmers to improve their confidence and proficiency. To deliver high quality coaching to those wishing to improve technique, speed, strength, and endurance. And, to cultivate a protective instinct for the environment by demonstrating its wonder, worth and fragility.

Our aim is to cradle you with support to empower you in your parenting journey.Meet Emily I am a registered Children’s nurse and a specialist community public health nurse. I have worked in a variety of nursing settings since qualifying in 2010. I now have 3 children aged 4 years and under! Whilst sat feeling lonely and bored at a baby group in what appeared to be some old town hall I started to question things. This wasn’t me and there must be something better. I consider myself to be very friendly, approachable, and bubbly. I really enjoy socialising with my friends and now due to one thing or another my best friends are placed across the country! We meet every month or so and support each other. We share stories, including the wins and fails of motherhood. Or sometimes it’s nice to not always talk about being a mum! Being a nurse and having my professional knowledge and experience friends would sometimes reach out to me for advice. The Cradle Club was developed with all this in mind and offers as little or as much as you want from it. From just wanting a coffee somewhere nice with other mums, to bespoke professional support and guidance. While Emily is both a Registered Children’s Nurse and Health Visitor and as such, adheres to the NMC’s revalidation requirements, she will not be acting as a registered nurse during her work with The Cradle Club.

I am a mixed media textile artist based in Southsea. I have an interest in exploring narrative through textiles, using mixed media collage to create fabric books, art quilts and collections of themed illustrations. I am also interested in journaling and telling personal stories through collections of memories, data and photographs. My background is a combination of art and design practices - I studied Illustration at Kingston University before becoming a secondary school textiles teacher. I combine the two disciplines to create fabric artwork with an illustrative quality and narrative. For example I often use song lyrics and quotations as starting points, and text features in most of my artwork. Whilst studying illustration I specialised in creating whimsical collages from sketches and paper ephemera and I bring the same techniques to textiles, layering fabrics, stitch and embellishments to create mixed-media mini-quilts and fabric books. I love to work to a specific theme and take on long projects focusing on one topic. This might turn into a series of Illustrations (The World of Jane Austen), a fabric book (Into The Woods) or a single large piece built up over time (Lockdown Quilt). A lover of bright colours and bold prints, I draw inspiration from 1960s and 70s children’s books, psychedelic music posters and vintage textiles. I am very lucky to have a studio on the seafront in Old Portsmouth which is open to the public.

And before that, I worked in marketing where I won awards for my work in public relations and ability to communicate stories. At times, I work with a range of associates to ensure that the material is robust and at the forefront of new thinking and research.

That turned out to be the best thing for Shadowpath and now everyday spaces are our signature style of theatre producing. Businesses gain a creative boost and access to new customers, performers get a professional opportunity to work in alternative spaces, the community gets more arts and culture programming and Shadowpath connects to community partners and free space! Imaginative Drama Classes for childrenHi I’m Becca and I’m the founder and director of Dramabuds. I set up Dramabuds in May 2008 to offer classes that were new, exciting and different. Using my expertise in drama and the creative arts my idea was to create an imaginary play and drama class for the early years and Dramabuds was born! We offer classes for children aged 2 to 10 years, we base our classes around a story theme each week and we get the whole class involved in the action through drama, play, movement and song! Before setting up Dramabuds I learned my trade by studying at drama school and acting in theatres before leading and producing drama, theatre and education projects for arts companies and schools across London and the South East. I have worked with Cardboard Citizens, Cirque Du Soleil and Creative Partnerships on high profile projects. But the birth of my second daughter Eliza inspired me to create drama exclusively for the Early years. So Dramabuds was born in the summer of 2008 in my back garden with my daughter Florence (aged 2 and a half) who loves dressing up as a princess and acting out stories. A year later we were running our classes at venues across SW London and were awarded the runners up prize for ‘ Best new Activity for the under 5’s’in the whole of the UK by What’s on 4 little ones.

Multi-award winning Pigfoot Theatre tell stories about the climate and ecological crisis, with the least carbon impact possible. An associate company of English Touring Theatre (ETT), our work ‘practises what it preaches’ (The Sunday Times on Pigfoot) and protests within an industry which, in London alone, has a carbon footprint of 50,000 tonnes a year. Our bike-powered family comedy ‘How To Save A Rock’ has toured with ETT to Northern Stage and Theatre By The Lake, with Battersea Arts Centre & Found in Music, and with support from Slung Low to the Albany, Camden People’s Theatre, Poplar Union, the Pound Arts Centre, and more. HOT IN HERE (an energy-generating dance party), co-produced by the Gate Theatre, commissioned and supported by Camden People's Theatre, toured across the UK in Autumn 2022 to venues including Theatre by the Lake, York Theatre Royal, MAST Southampton, the North Wall Arts Centre, the egg Bath, mac Birmingham, ARC Stockton Arts Centre, Nonsuch Studios, and Contact Manchester. Our new show, Hostile Environments, supported by Boundless Theatre’s Accelerator programme, will begin development in 2023. We have also run workshops, delivered sustainability consultancy, and run engagement programmes for organisations including the National Theatre, Southbank Centre, Rambert, HOME Manchester, and Guildhall School of Speech and Drama. Pigfoot began in Oxford, producing site-specific work by the River Thames and at the Oxford Playhouse.
