Have you always wanted to learn how to weave? Sarah Ward, Founder of Lark & Bower offers a variety of online weaving workshops including 'off-loom weaving', rock weaving, paper weaving and also darning and visible mending. 'Off-Loom' weaving is essentially weaving without a loom, around found objects like wood, tiles or rocks, using needle and thread. It's brilliant for first time weavers, as it helps us to understand the basics of woven structure, without the added complexity of the loom. These workshops are suitable for all ages and all levels, from total beginner, to seasoned weavers - so if you're thinking of taking up weaving, or just looking for a new direction to take your craft, these workshops are a great place to start! The main focus of the workshop is the simple twill, and from there, we'll try a dogtooth, and even a check! We'll play with colour, texture and pattern and discover the magic of weaving. It's simpler than it looks! As an environmental activist, the main focus of Sarah's work is to share knowledge through craft. She uses her woven work to advocate weaving as an art form, encouraging the learning and passing on of skills in traditional crafts, keeping the ancient craft alive but also raising awareness about waste and the impact of fast fashion on our planet.

My name is Sally, and I discovered energy healing when I was seeking solace for my own struggles with poor mental health. I came to a point on my path where I felt that if I did not heal, I may not survive here on Earth. So, I sought healing through yoga, meditation and lifestyle changes, which led me to energy healing, sound healing, light language, plant medicine, nature and community. What I didn’t anticipate, was that I would be strongly called to train and offer healing for others. I answered the call. I believe that my many dances with darkness and my own healing journey have provided me with the experience and initiations required to work with energy, support others, listen to, and truly emphasise with the tremendous pain that one can feel when navigating dark or unsettling periods of life. I am still healing, evolving and learning, but these practices have truly transformed my life, so I feel incredibly honoured to share them with you. Energy healing can support us on our path in a myriad of ways. If you’re feeling lost, stuck, at a cross-roads, or struggling with poor self-image, self-worth, indecision, or illness, energy healing can help us to find balance, clarity and encourage our body’s natural ability to heal. It can also offer us so much more. Embarking on a healing journey can help us to reconnect with our soul purpose, our reason for being here on earth at this time. It can support us in recovering our gifts and passions, and help us to find our inner fire so that we can share them with others, or step more fully into who we truly are. You hold so much knowledge and wisdom inside of you, but so many of us have forgotten how to tap into our inner truth or connect to our intuition. Brigstowe’s HIV Awareness Training empowers professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to work confidently with people living with, affected by or at risk of HIV. Our HIV Awareness Training is open to all professionals; from front-line support staff, managers or HR personnel. My passion for nails & teaching has gone from strength to strength the past 3 years. There’s honestly nothing I don’t adore about my job - the knowledge I have absorbed, the client base I have gained & the online classes I have held throughout the COVID-19 lockdowns. It really is true that ‘you get out what you put in’. I actually studied Dance at University, unbeknown to me that it was not going to be my career path. I got to my 3rd year & something clicked, it was not making me happy anymore. I knew I always had a creative streak - I just had to figure out where to channel it. Beauty was always a passion of mine - I loved doing make up for a while, but it felt more of a hobby and I soon shrugged it off. Then the next minute, I found myself watching more nail tutorials on YouTube than I was actually studying! A big sign. I then began to research nail courses, plenty of them in fact! Fast forward... I graduated Uni, completed my nail course, and the rest is history! I truly found my feet when I found my love for nails. Now I want to help people do the same.

A professionally-trained graphic artist, I've been selling my illustrations since 2009. In 2011 I opened my Etsy shop, and was amazed by how quickly sales picked up. In March 2014 I gave up my day job and I'm now a full time illustrator. Based in Liverpool, I'm an experienced online seller, with over 100,000 sales over different platforms. I'm Captain of the Merseyside Etsy Team and I've worked as a seller mentor for Etsy on their 2016 "Open Up Etsy" training programme for new sellers. I was selected as an official Etsy Educator for their October 2017 programme for new sellers. I've also been lucky enough to attend Captains' Summits in Cambridge, London, Paris and Amsterdam. I have also acted as an Etsy representative in Brussels, speaking with European Commissioners on behalf of other Etsy sellers. I ran regular workshops from my studio (pre-Covid), and now online, supporting other makers in growing their small creative businesses. I also offer a review service to Etsy sellers, and have written a number of instant download PDFs . I have no "insider knowledge"; I just know what has worked - and continues to work - for me and my business. In March 2018 I decided to separate my illustration business from my business mentoring activities, and Make & Flourish began.

Brought up with foraging and wild food in her blood, Iona took a deep dive on the subject in her mid-twenties, and never resurfaced. Iona has worked on surveys and recording projects, taught plant and fungi ID as well as foraging/outdoor food preparation and preservation skills for over a decade now, more recently including demonstrations in fungal microscopy, and her passion for nature extends far beyond foraging for food. However as a chef with experience in both professional kitchens and running her own events catering business, wild food is always where she comes home to, believing that food is a universal and easily accessible way for us to connect and engage with our environment and each other. Whatever your needs, from private courses, to public courses, corporate events, talks, interviews, educational events for both adults and children, and more, Iona is armed with a wealth of knowledge and experience.
