WELLBEING IN THE WOODS Support groups and projects for adult Mental Health. Join
us in the woods and experience the benefits of time spent connecting with
Nature. Elements of Forest Bathing and Forest School for adults combine with
being part of a small community to support wellbeing. Now includes Woodcraft for
Wellbeing, a 6 week course for adults experiencing mild to moderate mental
ill-health. Designed by a multi-disciplinary team of Therapists, Clinical
Psychologists and Wellbeing Practitioners, this course is delivered under
licence by a Therapeutic Forest CIC Approved Practitioner who has received
additional training and on-going support. We welcome referrals from Social
Prescribers and community support groups as well as self referrals. Forest
Therapy (also known as Forest Bathing or Shinrin Yoku) is a gentle sensory
process that brings healing through connection to the Forest/Nature and has been
scientifically proven to enhance physical and emotional well-being, reduce
stress, support the immune system and restore focus. Therapeutic Forest School
for children and young people with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH,
Looked after Children and Young Carers. The focus is on stress reduction and
resilience building through playful connection with Nature and each other.
