Situated in Blackpool, North West England, La Calavera College is the first
dedicated college of its kind in the U.K. The aim is to educate, train and
introduce a new wave of mortuary and funeral professionals ensuring industry
recognised qualification and providing an essential safeguard for both the
practitioner and the client. The college currently offers tuition for the
professional diploma in the art and science of embalming as prescribed by the
British Institute of Embalmers (B.I.E.) and will soon offer the professional
diploma in funeral services under the auspices of the British Institute of
Funeral Directors (B.I.F.D.). The mission is simple, to continue to build and
develop a reputable college committed to delivering the highest level of
education and training for the funeral professionals of the future.
