Moomusicyork

moomusicyork

Welcome to Moo Music York a weekly music and multi-sensory group for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Music has been shown to be an essential part of every child’s development and at Moo Music York we strongly believe in the benefits of music, movement and creative play. Using puppets, props, bubbles, instruments, and our specially written Moo tunes, we aid children’s development while having lots of fun. Our interactive classes are designed around our Moo Music songs developed by Early Years Educators and professional musicians. They are catchy and uplifting and many cover early years topics so the children are learning while having fun. At Moo Music York our sessions are baby and child led and our team is proud to provide a warm and judgment free environment that is a great way to make new friends – both for the children and the adults too. It is extremely rewarding to watch the children grow in confidence week by week building their social skills, physical abilities, speech and language skills, memory, coordination skills and musical ability and enjoyment. In a typical Moo session you can expect to sing, dance, dress up, explore, learn and play. Moo is all about having fun and connecting with your little one so the more you put in the more you get out. Each week we follow a different theme, go on all sorts of adventures and use new and exciting props to encourage imaginative play. In each session we have a mix of old and new songs. We repeat a few songs every week as children love familiarity and it is amazing how quickly they learn the songs by heart.

Earth Building Uk And Ireland

earth building uk and ireland

Chippenham

We are a registered charity working to foster earth building in all its diversity. In Lingala, a common language in Congo, EBUKI means 'I work, I dance'; we like that ... Where we started EBUKI started with a meeting, in 2007, of people and organisations interested in increasing and normalising earth in construction. To make earth building normal requires more research, more teaching and training, more standards, more assessment, more information, more networking, more built examples, more experienced professionals, in other words more of lots of different activities! So, we agreed that an organisation, which fostered the use of earth as a building material in all its forms was essential. We have had a great deal of success and continue to grow our organisation from strength to strength. What we do increase awareness about earth building keep our website and social media resources updated on a range of earth building topics provide expert speakers and workshop leaders at our National events arrange information gathering and dissemination work with National and International partners to write, publish and set new standards for earth building techniques develop accredited standards in training for earth builders send earth builders, trainers and assessors for accredited training work to develop a library of information about materials and techniques work to develop a mapping facility of UK and Irish earth buildings act as an umbrella for research, development and practice funding applications participate actively in a European earth building network pursue a range of agendas, which make the use of earth much easier encourage similar earth building organisations in Africa coordinate with joint research (Currently exploring opportunities in India)

Talk Financials Ltd

talk financials ltd

TalkFinancials was established by Ted Wainman. Ted trained and qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) with Ernst & Young before joining JPMorgan on the Investment Management side of the business. Whilst at JPMorgan, he undertook a company sponsored MBA in the International Management of Financial Services, from which he graduated at the top of his class with merit. Since 2003 Ted has been designing, developing and delivering programmes for private sector companies (including blue chips and financial services) across a range of business needs. Whether focussed on programmes to build awareness and detailed understanding around financial drivers of their business, addressing new operational initiatives or supporting business change, Ted is experienced in working with key stakeholders within the business to construct a training program that delivers sustained change. At TalkFinancials our aim is to help individuals in corporate organisations develop their financial and business skills - to become more ‘commercially savy’. While accounting - the process of identifying, measuring and communicating financial information - is left to the accountants, managers must be comfortable with being able to read and interpret that financial information. Here at TalkFinancials our consultants help delegates learn the 'language of commercial finance' and to become more comfortable when communicating financial concepts, to use financial data when presenting operational plans and to be able to understand the financial implications of their day to day decisions. Strong business skills go beyond a developed financial and commercial understanding. We help develop strategic thinking skills together with the necessary leadership skills to deliver on that strategy. Communication lies at the heart of good leadership and good communication leads to greater persuasiveness, influence and a stronger negotiated outcome.

Fylde Coast Scitt

Old Road

Train to teach with us on the Fylde Coast or in Liverpool. You can use the buttons below to view/download our information leaflet and submit your application via the Government Apply Service which is now Open! Firstly, our programmes are completely personalised to each candidate; no two people have the same experience because we only train between 20 and 30 trainees each year. Unlike the big university models where you would be one of 200 trainee teachers, we tailor the year to maximise your skills and you will therefore be better prepared to teach. We have our own supportive SCITT community, our own wellbeing programme and our own life coach. Secondly, because our trainees don’t have to attend University lectures, we have time to give them a bespoke enhancement programme running alongside the mainstream school placements. Our secondary trainees have the opportunity to teach in primary schools, pupil referral units, Special Educational Needs settings, work with CAHMS and teach in Sixth Forms. They also spend time at our local private schools to teach children with English as an additional language. Again, trainee curriculum design is tailored to maximise preparation. Thirdly, our programmes are competitively priced because we know graduates are already carrying huge university debts. We charge £7705 for QTS, as opposed to £9000, but we also give a free qualification for secondary trainees in addition to QTS so they leave as qualified Teachers of the PSHE Association [Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education]. This gives them an edge over other candidates when applying for jobs, and fully prepares them for teaching beyond the curriculum and preparing their pupils for life in modern Britain.

Waggy Races Dog Training & Walking

waggy races dog training & walking

About Becki and where Waggy Races started… My name is Becki and I am an Animal Biology BSc Hons and Animal Care HNC graduate. I qualified through COAPE as an Animal Behaviour Practitioner Dip CABT in 2020. I have been working with animals since a young child but professionally started in 2013 when I embarked on my Animal Care HNC. I was employed in a dog daycare whilst doing my degree, then moved on to working in a veterinary practice as a nurse. After a few years there I decided to make the move and become self employed as a dog walker and trainer. In 2019, a few months after completing my Animal Biology degree, where I wrote my dissertation on Flamingos (!!), I enrolled for my Animal Behaviour diploma with COAPE International. This consisted on 50+ hours in a training school, 50+ in a rescue/shelter environment, 100+ hours of lectures and of assessment writing. Additionally, I am qualified in animal nutrition, canine first aid and body language. I am also a Scentwork UK instructor. My main focus has always been on large breeds and reactive dogs, having experienced many and having lived with my own! We recently lost Enzo, our 2 year old Dobermann pictured, shortly after qualifying for Crufts, to an aggressive form of cancer so I currently share my home with my partner Stewart and my 6 year old cat Casper. My training specialities are advanced obedience, dog reactivity and separation anxiety. My aim is to help owners understand their dog and how to pave a better future for them. I do not judge and will always give the best advice and help I can.

Community Connect Foundation

community connect foundation

Smethwick

CCF strives to improve the social and economic wellbeing of disadvantaged communities by providing opportunities for people to develop their skills, gain qualifications and improve their health. Set up in 1997, Community Connect Foundation (CCF) has been working in partnership with many private and public sector organisations to improve the social and economic wellbeing of the disadvantaged communities in inner city areas. Through its work, CCF has developed, in effect, into a Community Anchor serving a much wider range of residents, communities and geographical areas. Whilst its base in Smethwick is an important one for its ability to reach out to communities in Smethwick, much of its work is delivered across a larger geographical area. With the help and support of managed funding from a variety of sources, we have been able to provide quality service provisions to more than 8,000 people. A substantial number of these people have gained qualifications and moved on to find employment. It demonstrates our determination to reach out into all sections of our communities to provide essential training opportunities, heath advice and youth development support to those that need it most. The success of CCF relies on the charity’s strong partnerships with statutory providers and community-based organisations. Much of CCF’s work is delivered on an outreach basis throughout Sandwell and Birmingham. Having maintained an accreditation from Matrix Standards & Investors in People (IIP) since 2004, we are confident we deliver a quality assured service consistently which is benchmarked by prestigious national standards. Additionally, we are accredited by prominent awarding bodies such as Pearson, Highfield Qualifications & Ascentis for delivering a wide range of Language skills, Functional Skills, Employability Skills and Apprenticeships qualifications.
