I provide coaching and careers guidance. I work as a freelance consultant, based in Beckenham (in the London borough of Bromley). Here you can read more about me and how I work. For many years I worked for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery, which in 2013 merged and became part of Health Education England. My work was focused on careers, training and education for the NHS. I became a careers adviser in 2009, gaining a PG Dip in Careers Education at the University of Warwick. During this period, I mainly worked with doctors, either on a 1:1 basis or in group sessions. I helped them choose their medical specialities, as well as supporting them through a competitive interview process. Since the summer of 2017 I have worked as a freelance coach and careers consultant. I provide business to business careers consultancy and also work with private clients. My private coaching clients are mainly adults, from college students to people that want to undergo a career change. I help with career choice, coaching and careers guidance to improve any aspect of work or work/life balance. I also work with people who need help and advice to set up their own businesses. How I work My philosophy is to work with clients using ‘unconditional positive regard’ as the foundation stone of my practice. Carl Rogers, a humanistic psychologist in the 1950s, first developed this as a concept. This means I work from a place of having utmost respect for my client. I work in a holistic way, which helps the client find their own learning and life and helps people who want to change. I may explore with the client: questions relating to life purpose, the quality of relationships (work and home), feelings, career and health. BPS qualified in the use of psychometric assessments, I am trained in the Type Dynamics Indicator. I am also on on the Careers Development Institute registered list of career development professionals.

We started Progress in the Summer of 2012. The brand started in Manchester, England. We take great pride in being from Manchester and the city's culture and history influences a lot of our designs. James Tighe (a then blue belt) started the brand with his close friends and family, all of whom a decade later are still part of the company. We all shared one thing in common, an unbelievable passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We fell in love with the sport and our dream was to one day quit our jobs and work on the brand full time, being involved with the Jiu Jitsu community, to help it grow as much as we could. This dream became our goal. The brand name perfectly represented how we felt about the sport, and us as people. It's all about the Progress you make. We put less emphasis on winning at all costs, and more on improvement. We genuinely want our customers and fans to be the best they can possibly be, on and off the mats, and the essence of our brand is to try our best to make that happen, through our products, our content, our athletes, our projects and everything else we do. Liverpool Law Society boasts 2500 or so members in practice; it is one of the largest local Law Societies in England and Wales. Membership is broad and varies from practitioners engaged in high-value commercial work to complex charity work. The Society prides itself in being at the forefront of debate and has been able to communicate on behalf of its members their concerns in a number of areas both public and professional, and at regional and national levels. The directors meet twice a year with local MPs where there is exchange of information, news about bills going through parliament and constituent issues are raised and discussed and parliamentary questions are put down on behalf of LLS members. Separately, the directors also meet with the nominated councillors from the Liverpool City Region local authorities. This again is a useful way of ensuring our members’ concerns and issues, including those of their clients, can be raised at one of these meetings. The councillors also come to the Society with matters their constituents are facing and we work together on joint initiatives where there is a common aim. The Society also has good communication channels with The Law Society, the SRA and the LeO, where members’ issues can be raised and matters affecting the legal profession discussed. On a regional level, Liverpool Law Society is a member of the Joint V, a grouping of autonomous local law societies that meet and discuss common issues affecting membership organisations for legal professionals, sharing best practice. The members of the Joint V are Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester Law Societies. United the Joint V have a strong voice nationally, representing over 10,000 legal professionals. In addition to our representation role, Liverpool Law Society runs an extensive legal training programme with approximately 100 seminars and conferences organised every year in various specialist areas of law. Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is one of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK and provides integrated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services. We see children from 0-16 in most cases and in some cases up to 18. We provide a full range of services for residents of Sheffield and South Yorkshire as well as specialised services for patients from across the United Kingdom. Caring for patients across the UK Demand for our services is growing and we are increasingly delivering healthcare to patients over a wider geographical area as our reputation for providing outstanding specialist care grows. We have some of the best medical and surgical services for children in the country. In 2021/22, 210,439 patients attended an outpatient appointment (including over 25% virtual appointments). A further 60,720 children attended A&E. 26,255 Mental Health community contacts were made across the Sheffield region and 23,341 COVID-19 vaccines were provided to protect children, young people and staff. Provider collaborative for CAMHS Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is the NHS Lead Provider for the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Provider Collaborative for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Provider collaboratives are new regional partnerships of organisations that provide specialised mental health services. These partnerships are being established across England as part of a national programme of work that sees the responsibility for the commissioning of specialised mental health services transfer from the NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE/I) Specialised Commissioning team to the new regional provider collaboratives. The SYB Provider Collaborative for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) launched on 1 October 2021 and covers the following service areas: General Adolescent and General Adolescent LD Services, Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), Specialist CAMHS Eating Disorders Units, CAMHS Low Secure and CAMHS Low Secure LD and Autism/ASC Services. Provider collaboratives comprise all the NHS Trusts and Independent Sector providers responsible for specialist mental health and learning disability and autism services for the population within a specific area. The SYB provider collaborative footprint covers Barnsley, Bassetlaw, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. Our provider partners are Cygnet Hospital Sheffield and Riverdale Grange (eating disorders) who provide CAMHS services alongside the Becton Centre for Children and Young People provided by the Trust. This plan details all the sustainable travel focused work Sheffield Children’s will be doing over the next few years, while on the road to reach our aim of carbon net zero by 2045. Did you know that in 2020/21, visitors travelled almost 5 million miles to our sites in total, with an enormous 72% of those miles in a car? This equates to travelling around the earth 200 times! It is our aim to lower this and reach carbon net zero from patient and visitor related travel by 2045 at the latest. Reducing emissions associated with traveling helps to lower the levels of air pollution in the area. Air pollution has negative impacts on our health, especially impacting children and young people. We are a small family firm started by Albert Nightingale in the 1970’s when NFS quickly became well known across the Cambridgeshire Fen, Peterborough and surrounding area. Albert had over 20 years experience when he started the firm and continued until the mid 2000’s when he decided to retire. His son Patrick Nightingale, himself a trained agricultural engineer & experienced welder, took over the reins and the company is continuing to build on the original legacy, with its reputation for quality, reliability and delivery of all work undertaken Albert remains an active member of the Peterborough Farm Machinery Preservation Society having been one of the founder members. Patrick has continued with the tradition and he is himself too, an active member of the Society. Albert has accumulated a vast wealth of knowledge & experience by both working on other peoples agricultural equipment as well as his own (pictured right exhibiting his own 1930’s John Deere B Series, at the East of England Show) Whereas Patrick completed his apprenticeship with Baker Perkins, going onto work for a renowned Cambridgeshire firm of Agricultural Engineers before joining Railway industry to add to his skills base as an experienced Welder. He has always had a special affinity with metal and welding, coupled with a perfectionist nature has resulted in a truly remarkable workman who prides himself in his work to the very high standards he sets himself Nightingale Farm Services is a small family firm who pride themselves on working together, doing the best they can to support the delivery of a quality restoration for you the customer. Park Pharmacy Trust, a registered Educational Charity, has since its inception in 1984 been working closely with Plymouth City Council for the wider benefits of the local community. It has received National recognition for both its innovative approaches to life-long learning and as a tourist attraction for visitors to Plymouth. Its famous C J Park Pharmacy, the last remaining Victorian chemist's shop in Plymouth, established in 1864, had been a major tourist attraction in the Merchant's House Museum where it was manned by trust volunteers. There thousands of visitors could see the pharmacy, try their hand at old fashioned pill-rolling (and earn a certificate of proficiency in the art of pill rolling) and talk to the volunteer stewards on duty. A weekend event held at the Merchant's House Museum Pharmacy is Phun, attracted record numbers of visitors. The pharmacy was televised Nationally to over 8 million viewers when Park Pharmacy Trust became the joint United Kingdom winner in the Tourism and Heritage categories of the BBC's ''It's My City!'' competition. In fact, Plymouth, because of Park Pharmacy Trust, became the only winning city in the south of England. The C J Park pharmacy display is currently in store and the Merchant’s House is closed following extensive repairs to the structure of the building. Park Pharmacy Trust has ambitious plans to develop a major tourist attraction: Plymouth Heritage Health Science Exploratory (THE EXPLORATORY) in which the C J Park pharmacy display will be rebuilt. This is the way the pharmacy purchased by Mr Charles Park in 1875, looked in 1864. It was then at no. 1 Mutley plain. It is thought that Mr Park moved the pharmacy to number 23 Mutley Plain around 1879. The original shop had four carboys (big glass bottles) in the window whereas at 23 Mutley Plain there was only room for three carboys. The fourth carboy was found in the hayloft and is in the collection of Park Pharmacy Trust and will be included in the C J Park display in the Plymouth Health Science Exploratory. .
