I just love painting winter scenes, there's a magic in the air, patterns emerge
in the fields and hedgerows as leaves fall, whilst the low winter sun enhances
every furrow and landline. This combines with my reason for painting - to share
the joy and excitement that my eight year old self found in nature. For me the
challenge of winter paintings is in using a restrained and minimal palette
whilst still staying true to my love of colour.
