MARK DEVEREUX PROJECTS (MDP) IS AN INDEPENDENT CURATORIAL AND ARTIST DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION. WE SPECIALISE IN SUPPORTING EARLY TO MID-CAREER ARTISTS THROUGH CREATIVE COLLABORATION AND TAILORED MENTORING. MDP is a small but devoted team seeking to create safer, braver spaces for artists. Our meticulous approach is founded on listening, trust, honesty and caring. We build critical but nurturing relationships with artists across a variety of artforms. We collaborate with artists across the UK to develop and curate ambitious creative projects, ranging from touring solo exhibitions to participatory workshops. This challenges artists through creative risk-taking while introducing their practice to new audiences. Our work creates new paid opportunities for artists that aren’t freely available. Our professional development work focuses on the individual artist, offering a unique pathway outside of institutional programmes. Since 2013 we have provided hundreds of artists with invaluable advice, guidance and critique through one-to-one mentoring sessions, specialist workshops and national artist development programmes. We ensure that our professional development activities are affordable and seek to help artists when cost is a barrier. MDP is committed to dismantling the barriers that often prevent artists from advancing their careers, such as a lack of formal artistic training, childcare responsibilities, or being Disabled or neurodiverse. We work towards our ambition that artists will be valued and paid for their work, able to forge sustainable careers on their own terms.

Jenny is a Learning and Development professional who has been delivering First Aid training sessions since 2008. She is the owner of Training Legs First Aid [https://www.linkedin.com/company/training-legs-first-aid/], founder of the ‘Bra Off Defib On’ charity, lead trainer for First Aid for Mental Health and co-founder of the First Aid Facilitators Forum. Training Legs First Aid specialises in First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, and First Aid for Mental Health. The sessions are interactive, fun, and encourage participation. With my friendly approach, I aims to build confidence and competence in responding to medical emergencies. My experienced and highly qualified team has trained over a thousand people in lifesaving skills, and are passionate about what they teach. I am the proud founder of the ‘Bra Off Defib On’ charity set up in 2023 to educate on the importance of removing a bra when using a defib and how to help women and bra wearers in a cardiac arrest emergency. In 2023 I also received a f:Entrepreneur #ialso100 campaign nomination. The #ialso100 campaign celebrates a growing trend of women creating new ways of working, and new measures of success for entrepreneurship. They state; “We are moving from the single job career to a world where it is possible and encouraged to do many things, often interconnecting, at the same time across the work and personal spectrum – and be passionate about them all.” Other accolades multi award winner for Best First Aid Training Provider in the South East in 2023 and 2024 with Prestige Awards. The company director, Suzanne Harrison began her career as a Science teacher in 1995 at Forest Hill School, London. She taught at other schools in London and the South-East, including state, independent and in multi academy trusts. Most of her experience was founded in areas of deprivation where schools often face multiple challenges to deliver the best teaching and learning. With 16 years of leadership at middle and senior level, she is driven by an unrelenting passion to release the sometimes hidden capacities within people and systems, to become the very best. Armed with a toolkit of the most effective elements of school improvement strategies, Suzanne draws on her broad network of leaders, classroom practitioners, researchers and communicators to collaborate on projects. Continuing her work at the frontline, Suzanne Harrison is a part-time instructional coach in schools in Hastings, ensuring she sustains an up to date knowledge and skill base and so that she remains credible as an expert in the classroom. She also uses digital technology and online tools to provide distance coaching: observation, modelling and feedback.

Established in 2019, Junior Leaders aims to provide young people relevant skills and advice to do well at school, further education, work and life. Junior Leaders aim to provide a friendly, safe and inclusive club for young people to both learn and have fun. Founder & Managing Director James Woodley lives in London and is a parent of two secondary school students. James started his career as an Army Officer before working in Financial Services. Most recently he has worked for two start-up FinTech companies. He has led and participated in several hiking and mountaineering expeditions in North America, Europe and Asia. He holds the following qualifications and memberships: BA(Hons) Politics & Government Executive MBA Ofsted Recognised Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour) Emergency First Aid at Work Designated Safeguarding Officer qualification Member of the British Mountaineering Council He is responsible for devising the training programme and ensuring that all adult supervisors have been DBS checked, briefed on safeguarding policies and hold relevant qualifications.

Founded as a charitable company in 2007, the primary objective of SIEVEMK is to address the problem of educational underachievement among young people, particularly those of black and minority ethnic descent, in the Buckinghamshire locale. SIEVEMK develops accessible and cost-effective programmes and provides opportunities for young people to help them acquire the employability skills and/or qualifications required for further and higher education and career advancement. SMK is run by a 5-member Board of Trustees, 2 of whom were beneficiaries of our programmes who went on to achieve A-Levels and degrees at university, and a management team comprising of the CEO, Head of Pastoral Care, Project Director and the Admin and Finance Team. We also have ten tutors and between six and ten volunteers across each year to support us with the programmes we offer. The team members share a passion for the work we do in supporting children, young people, and families, and have a wide range of experiences and skills to contribute to our organisation.
