Lancashire Digital was founded in 2004 by Greg and Len Adam as a dedicated educational software team. All of the inital staff were hand-picked for their experience working in the education sector. Throughout the next 10 years, Lancashire Digital went from strength to strength, working with education industry leaders including Pearson Education, Promethean and Cambridge University Press. With a strong internal philosophy and clear strategy and leadership from Managing Director, Greg Adam, the team has grown and continues to grow. In 2006 the company decided to widen their focus, although keeping a strong educational slant, working with training providers to create e-learning training materials for corporates, government agencies and more. In 2010 however, Greg realised that the days of Flash as the main delivery mechanism for e-learning were numberered and the internal team started their transition to development using HTML5. This foresight proved to be revolutionary for the company, as Lancashire Digital developers were upskilled to HTML5 well ahead of the curve. This put them in a strong position to win work for both new development using HTML5, but given the cross-skills of the team, a large quantity of Flash to HTML5 conversion projects were undertaken. He has advised Public Health England and the Chair of the NHS Health and Social Care Digital service. Muir’s work focuses on providing training to healthcare professionals on value based healthcare. Sir Muir has worked for the National Health Service in England since 1972, occupying a variety of senior positions during that time, including serving as the Director of Research and Development for Anglia and Oxford Regional Health Authority, and first establishing and then being the Director of the UK National Screening Committee. He founded the National Library for Health, and was the Director of Clinical Knowledge, Process, and Safety for the NHS (England) National Programme for IT, serving as the Director of the National Knowledge Service. He was the first person to hold the post of Chief Knowledge Officer of the NHS (England), also serving as the co-Director of the Department of Health’s Quality Innovation Productivity and Prevention (QIPP) Right Care Programme. Together with Sir Iain Chalmers, Muir was instrumental in establishing the Cochrane Collaboration. Sir Muir is an internationally renowned authority on healthcare systems and has advised governments of several countries outside the UK including Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain and Germany and regularly delivers plenary sessions at international events, the most recent being the 2014 World Health Summit in Berlin, the Big Data in Pharma conference in London in 2015 and the 2015 Transplantation meeting at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. Sir Muir is also a Professor in the Nuffield Department of Surgery at the University of Oxford. He received the CBE in 2000 and was knighted in 2005 for services to the National Health Service.

I work with natural elements to record places and periods of time, mainly using plants and their naturally occurring dyes. After a rural upbringing I moved to London in 2000 and have lived and worked here since. I graduated with a degree in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College in 2003 and recently completed the Artist Teacher Scheme at Oxford Brookes University with distinction. I am currently working as a freelance artist and teacher having previously taught art and photography in mainstream education for over a decade, becoming a head of department before deciding to concentrate on my own artistic practice after giving birth to my son. I continue my love of teaching by delivering workshops and courses. My current practice explores the change and growth of plants in my garden and other places which have significance to me. I work with time-based processes and alternative printmaking techniques, using pigments in plant dyes and rust, to record periods in time or the status of plants at a particular moment. I am interested in the unpredictability of these processes and the effects that they have both on the plants used to create them and the environment they are created in. I am currently investigating how nature can be used to record periods of time by creating work in the environment, documenting the effects of natural elements such as rain. I have work in private and public collections internationally and have exhibited nationally including at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair for the past three years. I completed a residency in 2018 as part of the New: Defence arts project in Essex which culminated in a solo exhibition of the work I created.
