Coventry

We are fortunate to have superb facilities here at Caludon which provide modern and professional learning spaces and resources for every subject. In addition to this, we use digital technology smartly, investing in the creative and transformative potential of the use of IPads and interactive platforms. We know that during the course of our students’ time here at Caludon they will inevitably face personal as well as academic challenges. Our pastoral teams are dedicated to supporting our young people so that they feel safe and happy at school, form good friendships and understand and embody our values of respect, kindness and inclusion. We enjoy the diversity of our school community and, whilst we encourage a pride in being a part of the Caludon Castle School, we also encourage a celebration of what makes us unique and individual. A student’s time at Caludon should be defined by more than attending their lessons. Our students will belong to a House (Devonish, Maddison or Smith) and participate in house competitions and celebrations; they can join clubs and societies to pursue their interests beyond the classroom and they will be encouraged to invest in their leadership skills through our student leadership pathways. Caludon Castle School is fortunate to be part of a successful multi-academy trust with a strong leadership culture for both staff and students. As well as attracting and developing excellent professionals, our school community also has much to share as we collaborate with partner schools realising opportunities to continually learn and grow. Our students will benefit from this outward looking approach through which our own future leaders will no doubt emerge!

William Edwards School

London

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our website and our school. William Edwards is a large, successful, harmonious and thriving mixed 11-16 comprehensive school. Pupil outcomes across the school are historically strong. However, attending William Edwards is about so much more than just GCSE outcomes. We firmly believe that your school days should be the best days of your life and that schools have a moral purpose to extend the life experiences of their pupils. That is why we boast the largest Duke of Edinburgh cohort of any school in the East of England and are one of only a very small number of secondary schools nationally to hold both the Artsmark Platinum Award and the Youth Sports Trust Gold Award for our work in these diverse fields. We were delighted that our last inspection report noted that “pupils who spoke to inspectors were effusive about their experience in school” and that “the breadth of curriculum opportunities available at the school is a real ‘gem’ in the school’s offer to its pupils”. The school is a proud founding member of the South West Essex Community Education Trust which runs three secondary schools and three primary schools across Thurrock and the London Borough of Havering. We were delighted that our last Ofsted inspection captured our considerable strengths in teaching, pastoral care, behaviour, pupil support and curriculum. We are pleased that these ‘cornerstones’ of high quality education remain strong at the school.

Qidti

qidti

London

The QIDTI Association was founded by John Rogerson and his International Associates to recognise Instructors around the world who have demonstrated the requisite level of professional instructing and or advising skill, personal expertise and understanding of canine training and behaviour The QIDTI Association works on a voluntary basis, encouraging all Instructors to gain the international standard set by the QIDTI Award. All those that meet that standard are invited to join our membership listing as a 'Qualified International Dog Training Instructor' for free to promote it, and those that wish to promote our aims and or work towards meeting that standard may join as a Supporting / Student member. The QIDTI Association supports 'national registration', and considers formal 'Affiliation' with the 'Registration Council for Dog Training & Behaviour Practitioners' (RCDTBP) is the way forward, to protect the public from what is currently an unregulated industry. The RCDTBP was officially founded to hold and manage the registers of Signatories to the nationally agreed 'CAWC Dog Behaviour & Training Code of Practice (2010). The CAWC Code was developed through a series of meetings organised by the Companion Animal Welfare Council (CAWC), following the publication of a national report on dog training & behaviour services in the UK (2008). The Code was agreed by the many industry dog training, behaviour and welfare groups concerned, as a workable document to regulate and improve canine services nationally, with the aim of uniting all individuals and industry organisations under it.

Bishop Stopford School

I would like to extend a warm welcome as you visit our website today. Bishop Stopford School is a vibrant, ethical place to learn. As our Outstanding SIAMS inspection report states, ‘Five deeply embedded, long-established, Christian values, which are relevant to everyone, create an ethos in which harmonious and respectful relationships enable everyone to flourish.’ (2018) Our aim therefore is simple: to provide the highest quality education for every student. We nurture to flourish and challenge to grow. Individuals are supported to fulfil their unique potential, enabling them to face the future with confidence. Our exam results certainly bear testimony to us achieving that aim - in the arts, sciences, sport, humanities and technology subjects. But a great education is about so much more than exam performance – and Our Intent details what we believe is equally important. We develop character, moral strength, emotional resilience and self-confidence, as well as engendering that sheer love of learning for its own sake. Our Intent guides teaching and learning, and an extensive extracurricular programme, where we pay significant attention to cultivating these vital attributes too. Education is, of course, a partnership. We understand that effective communication between home and school is essential, and parents are always welcome to contact us to seek advice or reassurance. I hope that you enjoy looking at our website, and I would encourage you to visit us at our ‘Open’ events to discover what makes Bishop Stopford School unique.

Bauer Academy

bauer academy

Cambridgeshire

Bauer Academy was founded by Courtnay McLeod, a news broadcaster and academic, in 2014. Courtnay had seen that traditional education was in many instances failing employers and learners. She set up the Bauer Academy inside Bauer Media, initially to create a talent pipeline for Bauer’s multi-platform media business in the UK. The Bauer Academy grew rapidly, launching partnership programmes with The Big Lottery, The Rank Foundation, the European Social Fund, and The Prince’s Trust, amongst others. The learners on these programmes are given access to Bauer Media’s experts and resources to learn practical skills like content production and creative writing, as well as all-important employability training. In 2016, The Bauer Academy was accepted on to the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. Apprenticeship Standards can be introduced to develop and increase skills in existing employees as well as new entrants, and our team have developed a smart, flexible and collaborative delivery model that has changed the language of Apprenticeships. The Bauer Academy’s work on diversity was featured in an Ofcom report and video, and has been showcased at an event we hosted at Westminster for MPs and leaders in education. We have introduced new programming roles within Bauer Media’s radio business, that specifically targeted and hired from under-represented female groups. The Academy’s contribution to tackling diversity issues is genuine, and creates not only a positive impact but genuine change within the media and other industries.
