Having worked 15 years in sales and then having coached many small business owners. I discovered that many people have a great product or service but unfortunately don’t know how to effectively sell. As a result, they often feel frustrated, worry about money and don’t provide their products to many who need them . I help to ensure that this doesn’t happen to you and you’re on the side of the fence that is successfully selling. I do this by cultivating your mindset for a heightened level of success. Ranelagh School

ranelagh school

Berkshire,

The opportunity to educate other people’s children is a rare privilege, bringing with it a huge responsibility to provide the best all-round education possible as we aim to prepare young people for happiness and success in their adult lives. At Ranelagh we take this responsibility extremely seriously. We care about the individual and pride ourselves in the warmth of a community in which all our students feel valued. We live in exciting and fast changing times and this means that providing an outstanding, progressive and well-rounded education is more important than ever. Of course examination results matter and at Ranelagh our students consistently achieve excellent results in all areas of the curriculum, giving them access to the top universities in the UK and overseas. In its latest Ofsted inspection report of March 2015, Ranelagh is judged to be an outstanding school that ‘provides an excellent education for all of its students, preparing them well for their futures and for life in modern Britain.’ However, this is just one aspect of the education at Ranelagh and students are supported to show ambition both within and beyond the classroom. As a Church of England School, supported by the diocese of Oxford, education at Ranelagh is provided within the context of Christian belief and practice. In its latest SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) report of April 2019, Ranelagh is referred to as ‘a school in which a deeply held, strongly Christian vision shapes all aspects of its work’; the school is described as a place in which that vision is lived out as ‘a harmonious, vibrant, and successful learning community’. This is a happy school in which we encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote Christian values through the experiences we offer each individual. School should be fun and happy children are more likely to be successful. We see it as our responsibility to bring out our students’ talents, to broaden their interests and to develop their personal qualities. The Ranelagh Student Learner Profile qualities underpin everything that we do and are an integral part of our culture and ethos. We aim to foster confidence, resilience, curiosity, creativity, empathy and independence so that students are ready to make a really positive contribution to their wider community. Tradition is important at Ranelagh and still shapes some of our guiding principles but we seek to build on the past while looking to the future. This is, and will remain, a forward-thinking school that enthusiastically embraces innovation and new opportunity. I hope that you will accept my invitation to visit Ranelagh. It is a truly remarkable school, and it will be a privilege to welcome you here.

Baginton Fields School, Coventry admits secondary aged students with severe and complex SEND. The school commissioned Links Therapy Company to provide specific advice, support and expertise to further develop a newly implemented curriculum for students with ASD. Links Therapy provided a bespoke support programme including student observations and assessments, staff tutorials and feedback sessions that focused on personalising best practice for individual students within the context of the emerging curriculum. Staff expertise was enhanced considerably as a result of mutual professional respect and aspiration to provide optimum opportunity for student progression. I was particularly impressed by the extensive expertise demonstrated by Links Therapy colleagues who were flexible and professional throughout their time at Baginton Fields. Simon Grant - Headteacher, Baginton Fields School, Coventry We were very pleased with the work carried out with one of our students. There was a variety of OT packages to choose from. We decided on an initial consultation and a follow up of 6 "hands on" sessions. These were carried out weekly on a 1:1 basis. The practitioners were very professional and liaised with school staff throughout. We were provided with a detailed report after the intervention and will continue to implement the detailed guidance. I would definitely recommend Links Therapy and would use them again in future. Julie Miles SENCo St. Elizabeth's Primary School, Coventry Links Therapy Company were originally commission to provide professional support to our Occupational Therapist. Being a small charity our therapists are at a greater risk of becoming isolated from their profession. Links Therapy company have provided a link for our therapists to discuss any professional queries they may have. Their role has developed to the point where they are now helping us to develop and take our service forward. Their input has been essential to us now having an Occupational therapy team in place. There friendly and professional approach to their work has impressed us greatly and look forward to continuing our relationship with them. Sarah Hemings - Centre Manager, Tiny Tims Childrens Centre, Coventry RNIB Three Spires Academy cannot recommend highly enough the services of Links Therapy. All our pupils have special educational needs, some of these can be quite complex. We understand that interventions such as Sensory Diets are so important to helping pupils self-regulate and get ready to learn. Becky has worked closely with our teachers and school leadership to develop individualised programmes for our pupils as well as advising on the purchase of specialist equipment plus delivering in-services training. Becky takes the time to get to know our pupils and how our school functions so that a truly tailored approach is delivered. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Links Therapy.

E-Learning Matters Home About Me Blog Portfolio Contact E-learning Matters You are here:Home/Blog/Blog/E-learning/E-learning Matters E-LEARNING MATTERS WELCOME Hello and welcome to E-learning Matters. This is the obligatory (well, it’s not really obligatory, but it feels so) blog post about myself and the website. THE OBLIGATORY INTRODUCTION Introductions first: My name’s Gareth Davies and I’m from south Wales in the UK. I’m an e-learning professional with an MA in Online and Distance Education, but more importantly, I’m someone that is very passionate about education and technology’s role within it. WHY HAVE YOU MADE THIS SITE? This website is the successor of my Multiple Tracks blog which was a free WordPress blog site. I chose to go down the route of getting my own hosting to increase my options on what I can do with my content and, crucially, for me to learn how to create my own website using WordPress. WHAT WILL E-LEARNING MATTERS BE ABOUT? The content I’ll be writing about will naturally revolve around e-learning. However, what is e-learning and why should you care about it? The ‘e’ in e-learning stands for ‘electronic’, so e-learning is learning using electronic technologies. This learning can be a part of a course or curriculum or it can account for their entirety. Typically, e-learning is seen purely as online learning where learners engage with materials via the Internet. This website will not be solely looking at online learning, however. I’ll be discussing the wide variety of issues that fall under the roof of technology enhanced learning or educational technology. The link to the left is to the wikipedia entry for educational technology. I’ll be doing this in all my blog posts when a particular term comes up that I feel readers may be interested in because I am committed to making this website a hub for people to learn about the field of educational technology. A place where readers can find not only original content but a starting off point for further reading to achieve a deeper understanding of the subjects covered. I’ll be writing about subjects such as the future of education, new developments in technology that will and are having an impact on education, and existing and burgeoning learning theories that relate to these technologies use in learning. I’ll also be writing about any of my own experiences that I feel will be of use to people studying and working in the field. Anyway, welcome and please feel free to make comments. What first strikes visitors to our school is a palpable sense of community. The atmosphere is vibrant, purposeful and very friendly. Relationships are strong and supportive. There’s always a lot going on and, to an extent which is perhaps unusual, girls of different ages work unselfconsciously together, collaborating on the colourful range of events and activities that make up the fabric of the Woodford school year and contribute to the distinct ethos of the place. It’s a happy and cohesive community and an environment which liberates young women to take the risks and embrace the challenges that will prepare them for their future roles and responsibilities as leaders in tomorrow’s society. Woodford’s success is the result of striking a fine balance between tradition and innovation. Our values are traditional ones and we offer an unashamedly academic curriculum. We are keenly aware, however, that we are preparing our students for a working life none of us can yet anticipate. Our focus, therefore, is on developing the skills, attributes and habits of mind that will equip them as life-long learners. Woodford leavers are articulate, self-confident and skilled in the use of modern technologies. Our aim is to launch them into the world as self-starters, focused but flexible, armed with the courage to grasp opportunities and the resilience and humour to negotiate setbacks along the way. Above all we want them to be equipped to lead happy, fulfilling and useful lives, wherever and however they choose to lead them. Woodford enjoys an enviable reputation for intellectual, artistic and sporting achievements. In all of these domains, and others beside, we encourage and support our students in exploring their own potential, nurturing existing talents and interests and discovering new ones along the way. Our community, of course, is made up of individuals. To ensure we enable each and every girl to fulfil her potential, an emphasis is placed on personalisation, on proactive mentoring and on pastoral care. And the academic curriculum is complemented by a wide and stimulating range of extra-curricular activities. There is something for everyone. Our students will embark upon adult life conscious of their worth, ambitious for their futures and aware that they are lucky indeed to have been educated here. Woodford is a very special school. If you want to see how special, you are warmly invited to pay us a visit.

Oxford High School

Oxford

elcome to our website and our history. Oxford High School (OHS) to its devotees is a place of scholarship and learning tempered by spirit, fun and community. Justifiably proud of its extraordinary academic outcomes, OHS is a place where young women are prepared for a world where they give back to others who have not had the same opportunities. A place where young women are prepared for the demands of the future, led by committed and dedicated staff absolutely devoted to their students’ wellbeing and achievement. The women who find their way here are curious, sparky and delight in challenge of any kind, whether it is joining the water polo club, singing opera for the first time or managing our very own hives of bees. Leadership opportunities abound and we are so proud that our students lead the school, put on world rivalling conferences, write to world leaders and enable opportunities for all those around us. We are also lucky enough to be in the heart of a city which thrives on curiosity and learning. That is reflected at OHS, where Academics come into school to demonstrate the accessibility of an academic career as well as share the excitement of challenging world constraints, whether forging ahead with a new vaccine (Dr Sarah Gilbert), working to ensure that everyone belongs in a diverse world (Aduke Onafowokan) or even managing a country in the middle of a pandemic (Jacinda Ardern). These are not leaders who speak to the school as requested by staff, but rather our students who are given the confidence and aspiration to put their dreams into action. Don’t make the mistake, however, of believing that OHS is purely academic; we, and the Girls’ Day School Trust, understand how high achieving women learn, thrive and flourish. The Trust enables our young people to access a network of over 25 other schools, conferences run by women for women across the country, and an astonishing alumnae network of over 70,000 former pupils who are extending a hand to help your daughter find her own place in the outside world. Our pastoral care nurtures our young women to ensure that they succeed at their pace. Despite being a bigger school, our staff are absolutely dedicated to the young women in their care, get to know them and their ways of learning and do all they can to support them. That does not mean we lower our expectations but rather extend the safety net to ensure they are lifted towards their dreams. Any website can only give you a flavour of what happens beyond the doors but I urge you to come in, meet me and our dedicated staff whether virtually or in ‘real life’, and, above all, enjoy the sparky, original, curious, lively young women who flourish and thrive here. I look forward to sharing with you the magic of opportunity, fun and spirit that pervades our school.
