The Alamiyah School stems from a project which began in 2005 with a determined group of home-schooling parents who were eager to create a positive learning environment for their children; one that would foster not only a love of knowledge but give the children a moral framework and nurture each child’s unique genius. The project was subsequently joined by a group of educational professionals and evolved into the Alamiyah Pre-school. We registered as an independent school (Alamiyah School) in 2017 allowing us to cater for school age pupils. The school now caters for pupils of age 3-11 years till the end of the primary age range. The Alamiyah School is inspired by the Prophetic Tradition and will use a curriculum infused with the prophetic stories, arts and sciences. The Montessori approach to early years is the framework upon which the school is based, thus creating an educational experience based on ancient wisdoms and modern discoveries. The Montessori approach creates an environment that offers each child the opportunity to express and develop their individuality and their innate need to learn. It is based on the natural laws of human development (fitra) confirmed by scientific advances and is therefore perfectly in line with a prophetic model for education. The curriculum is child centered, encourages independence and fosters empathy and compassion. The project is lead by an enthusiastic group of teachers trained in the Montessori approach, with many years experience with young children. Our teachers are professionals in their field and have a deeply rooted interest in education. As a traditional goldsmith with over 20 years of experience, Jasmin’s passion for jewellery design never faded. In Jasmin´s words: As a child I always wanted to become a true renaissance man or, in my case, woman. I dreamed of being a painter, sculptor and innovator living a life solving the mysteries of the world like Leonardo da Vinci or Michelangelo. So I became a goldsmith, learning the ancient art of working with precious metals and intriguing gemstones. During my years in the jewellery business I had the wonderful opportunity to work with renowned jewellery artists, like Wendy Ramshaw, Jacqueline Mina and others to design high-end collections and to make jewellery in every metal I could possibly lay my hands on (palladium and niobium are still amongst my favourites). Ultimately, I discovered my passion for teaching. Through my association with one of the most prestigious jewellery schools in the world (GIA) I have inspired hundreds of students in such far-flung locations as Thailand, Italy and California. With my many classes, I have combined the intricacies of jewellery design with the elements of technology, using the latest CAD/CAM developments, whilst sharing both my joy and undiminished affection for an industry that I have been involved with for all my working life. Today, I still do what I love. I run my own jewellery business, Jaqc Jewellery and Jaqc Jewellery Academy, offer design consultancy, and illustrate jewellery for a variety of companies. Little Yoga Studio aims to empower children and adults, in mind and body, through a fun, creative and inspiring approach to yoga. My children’s classes focus on exploring a child’s natural flexibility. Improving their own strength and poise, while helping them nurture a strong sense of self and awareness of others. The journey isn’t dissimilar with my adult classes. With each class, we work on bringing inner harmony through movement, breath and meditation. Uniting the body, mind and spirit to awaken our true Self. My teaching journey began shortly after the birth of my daughter. Having practiced yoga for 10 years, I found motherhood gave me a new perspective. Wanting to deepen my practice, I found myself taking to the mat in between my classes. And as I moved through poses or paused in meditation, I noticed her watching with curiosity. Before long she was on my mat, copying the poses and demanding more ‘mummy yoga.’ Soon she had her own mat (in her favourite colour, purple, of course) and we were practicing yoga together daily. Really I have her to thank for setting me on this path. As watching her little character flourish in our practices together has inspired me to share this with both little and bigger minds alike. My 200-hr training with Avani Yoga Academy and Yoga Bananas means I am now honoured to share the ancient practice of yoga in an authentic and heartfelt way to adults, children and families alike. Of course yoga is a lifelong journey that is forever evolving. I am honoured to continue my own discovery with a 50-hour Yoga Nidra Immersion with Avani Yoga Academy and Naomi Absalom’s 6-month Liberate mentorship, among others.

What we now know as King John’s House and the adjoining Tudor Cottage were once a small part of Church Court in Romsey and are Church Court’s only surviving buildings. By the turn of the 19th and 20th century, the Court had been reduced to little more than a densely populated slum housing among the most impoverished of Romsey’s residents. At this time you would find no mention of King John’s House on any map or in any book as it was just a run-down building in a run-down part of Romsey. In modern times we know that the House was once a very high status building and part of a major medieval complex although its exact purpose is not completely understood. You can see many early features dating from this time, including fine stone masonry, ancient roof timbers and graffiti cut into medieval plaster. The Museum features aspects of Romsey life during the Victorian and Edwardian period. The 'old gun shop' has been reconstructed upstairs, using original fixtures, fittings and display items, while William Moody and his sister wait to greet you in the recreated parlour in the room behind. When you visit the House and Museum you can discover how and when King John became associated with the House, how it descended from high status medieval building to slum over 800 year of continuous occupation and use and why the Moody family are so important to the history of King John’s House. King John’s House and Museum are in the custodianship of a registered charity, dedicated to preserving King John’s House for future generations. Because we exist to help you with your preaching ministry! There are three main ways by which we can do this: through publications, events and training. We're a network of preachers, some experienced and some new to the task, ordained and lay, from different denominations and traditions, drawn together by a shared belief that good preaching matters, who want to help each other fulfil their preaching ministry. We warmly welcome others wanting to join us to develop and share their gifts. To individuals... we offer varied opportunities to enrich preaching, in particular through a variety of resource material - magazine articles, sermons and reviews - in print and on line our events - occasions to meet leading preachers from this and other countries, to attend workshops run by College tutors, and to share fellowship and experiences with other preachers open seminars for basic and more advanced preaching tuition, and discussion of important issues for preachers. Our independent artist's studio has been active for over 15 years and throughout this time we have produced many commissions and held courses with students visiting this historic region from all over the world. The studio was formerly on Via della Scala, in the historical Palace of the Riblet Bargagli Petrucci in the center of Florence, but moved in 2022 to the new location in the countryside. For those who cannot travel to Italy, we have new online videos for beginners or professional artists to learn art virtually. Classical and Contemporary OUR SPECIALITIES We specialize in antique artisan techniques and skills such as gilding, trompe l'oeil, grisaille, fresco, sgraffito, and grottesca decoration. We create artworks and decoration for interiors, harpsichords, and furniture. We produce fine furniture finishes and decorative art for the interior design industry worldwide.
