Our workshops have served as intense social learning sessions and therapeutic retreats to adults, and our children’s workshops have helped children express themselves and make large strides in their artistic endeavours. As reflected in our principles, all our sessions are inclusive of people with special education needs (SEN) and learning difficulties. We have helped children with SEN develop their confidence and become more involved in art. Our approach to teaching and learning is focused on using art to build a creative local community founded on principles of inclusivity. We provide a platform to showcase the work of our creatives via our Group Exhibitions - we also host and take part in national events such as The Big Draw and Lumiere London - the UK’s biggest light festival - and in local events like the Fabula Festival. We run pop-ups, co-operate with businesses alongside our workshops, and collaborate with non-profit organisations in addition to organising after school clubs with local schools. This is a small, friendly and informal class particularly suited to beginners or those who are not particularly familiar with yoga. Each pose or asana will be explained and adaptations suggested if needed. The aim is to understand one’s own body, its strengths, challenges and capacity for movement. We explore how to bring new energy to the movements through the breath (prana) and letting go. You will be amazed at how regular yoga practice will improve your mental and physical well-being. Give it a go! Wear stretchy or loose fitting comfortable clothing. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day so that you are well hydrated for the class. Avoid eating anything heavy 2 hours or so before a class. Please bring a mat and towel or any other props you may need such as blocks or belts. I’m afraid no equipment is provided.

Burnley

Our DRIVER CPC courses are now available both ONLINE via remote connection or in our Classroom in Burnley. Each 7 hour course will be delivered as a full 7hr session taking a full day whether online or in the classroom. Course timings are generally from 08:15 for registration with the courses starting at 08:30 and ending at 16:30, of course we will be having breaks throughout the day. ONLINE COURSES. In order to take part online, you MUST have access to either a Laptop, Computer or Tablet (we do not recommend the use of Mobile Phones) with webcam, speakers and microphone, and be able to install the ZOOM App (ZOOM ). ONLINE courses are currently £40.00 per day. CLASSROOM COURSES. Our classroom based courses are held in our Training Centre in BURNLEY. We have introduced Covid-Secure practices such as social distancing, increased ventilation and of course hand sanitising. We will do our best to keep you safe. CLASSROOM courses are currently £60.00 per day. Check out our CALENDAR page to see all the dates we have coming up along with number of available spaces. You can book via our website which requires a payment of £40.00 per booking to be made online via PayPal (No PayPal account needed - just use your card). Any balance payment due will need to be made before the course start date, but we will contact you about that. If you would like to book multiple dates and don't want to book each one individually, send us an email or call us on 07730 658280 with the dates you need and we will arrange the bookings. You will still need to pay in advance, but it will only be a single payment.

Following a joint venture in setting up a local SEN parents' group in 2002, Claire joined IPSEA, a renowned national charity, as a volunteer telephone advisor and later a Tribunal Support Service Representative. Claire says: “One of the most valuable lessons I learned was the fundamental importance of using the law to secure, and if necessary, enforce rights to ensure that children and young people receive the special educational provision they are entitled to. I have been privileged to advise and support many families over the years and I am incredibly passionate about children and young people with SEND receiving the education they are entitled to”. This led Claire to successfully complete her LLB Law (1st class) and Higher Diploma in Paralegal Practice in 2011.
