WELCOME TO SOMA PILATES. Welcome to Soma Pilates. Founded in 2010 by me, Emily
Hayward, Soma Pilates offers group and private Pilates matwork classes in
Bristol, online classes, workshops and Pilates retreats in the most
inspirational places. I have a lifelong love of dance and movement, and truly
believe that a strong and health body helps us to have a strong and healthy
mind. Having taught Pilates for over 10 years, I have experience of working with
people from all walks of life, from ages 18 - 80+, from complete beginners to
fellow teachers, and from those recovering from illness and injury to
triathletes and dancers. Whatever stage of life you are at, Pilates will help
you feel and move better in your everyday life. Pilates is a holistic form of
exercise that is designed to strengthen, elongate and restore the body to
balance. Connecting mind and body, Pilates re-educates movement patterns and
rebalances the underlying muscular and structural systems of the body. This
results in a heightened sense of awareness and ease of movement, the reduction
of pain and tension, better posture and an increased sense of well-being. I hope
