We will generally keep personal information about you no longer than is needed for as per our Retention Policy. 7.Your rights You have the right to request from us access to your own personal information. This is sometimes known as a 'subject access request'. You also have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for direct marketing purposes. We will tell you if we intend to use your data for this purpose or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for this purpose. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data or by contacting our Customer Services Team on 0800 1835757 (freephone from a landline) or 01745 536800. From 25 May 2018, you will have additional rights to request from us: That any inaccurate information we hold about you is corrected That your information is deleted That we stop using your personal information for certain purposes That your information is provided to you in a portable format That decisions about you are not made by wholly automated means Many of the rights listed above are limited to certain defined circumstances and we may not be able to comply with your request. We will tell you if this is the case. If you choose to make a request to us, we will aim to respond to you within one month. We will not charge a fee for dealing with your request.

Onebus

onebus

England

OneBus is a unified collective of commercial bus operators in Greater Manchester. OneBus was launched in 2018 to enable bus companies to speak with one voice and drive a shared commitment to improve public transport across the Greater Manchester region. High-quality, good-value and easy-to-use public transport is critical to delivering better connectivity and improved mobility for local people. Most importantly, it underpins the region’s drive to create a thriving economy, ensure good jobs and opportunity for all, provide access to affordable housing, and deliver safe, healthy and inclusive communities. The OneBus partnership represents bus operators in Greater Manchester, committed to improving travel as part of an integrated network that gets Greater Manchester moving. Buses are central to the future of Greater Manchester and our positive package of proposals can make a real difference to tackling the biggest challenges facing our communities; road congestion and air quality. Building on the significant investment already made by operators, we believe there is a window of opportunity for everyone to work together to deliver a revolution in the region’s bus network that puts customers first and offers excellent value for both passengers and public investment. Our blueprint for a partnership model in Greater Manchester is consistent with the new powers in the Bus Services Act and proposes: 450 new low emissions buses over the next three years to boost the region’s air quality, with the first 150 delivered by 2020 More flexible and simplified tickets, recommendation of two-year price freeze on multi-operator bus fares, and more affordable travel for people of all ages An action plan for Transport for Greater Manchester and other agencies to tackle congestion hotspots, speed up journeys and cut gridlock A single unified brand identity for all bus services, with individual operator buses clearly identifiable as part of a partnership Improved integration of bus, tram and rail services Joint bus network review to maximise connectivity for passengers, including the evaluation of the potential for off-peak, limited stop, night time or 24 hour services Better on-board customer experience, including extension of free WiFi across the bus fleet A fully coordinated, central approach to traffic management, customer contact and travel information

Brunel University London

brunel university london

Uxbridge

In 2016, Brunel celebrated 50 years as a university. However, our history can be traced back much further to 1798 through our predecessor colleges of Borough Road College, Maria Grey College, Shoreditch College and the West London Institute of Higher Education and as well as through Acton Technical College then Brunel College. Our rise since 1966 has been impressive and our reputation grows year on year. Now a university of 12,746 students – 3,309 students engaged in postgraduate and research study – our special approach is to combine academic rigour with the practical, entrepreneurial and imaginative approach pioneered by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. The decision to be named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel was taken after much discussion. Rather than name the new College after a location, Dr Topping, the first Vice Chancellor of Brunel University (and former Principal of Brunel College) pleaded that the name should be a well-known person preferably an engineer or scientist associated in some way with Middlesex or Acton. Agreement was reached in March 1957 that person would be Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806-1859) is one of the great British engineers of the 19th century. Isambard was born into an industrious family in 1806, with his mother Sophia Kingdom working for the Royal Navy and father Marc Brunel being a prominent French engineer. Isambard took on formal training as an engineer and went on to build twenty-five railways lines, over a hundred bridges, including five suspension bridges, eight pier and dock systems, three ships and a pre-fabricated army field hospital. To add to this he was a keen social engineer, building housing estates, churches and hospitals. In order to learn more about Isambard Kingdom Brunel and his legacy, visit the following links: Bristol University Brunel Collection - IKB's letters, sketchbooks, etc Brunel200 - projects, competitions, debates, media programmes and talks to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Isambard Kingdom Brunel Museum of the Great Western Railway SS Great Britain - surviving in the dry dock that had been built specifically for her design and construction in Bristol There is also extensive Brunel information on the BBC's History pages

Coleraine Street Pastors was founded in 2014. Since then we have had four or five teams out every weekend in town centres and housing estates, pubs and clubs. All our street pastors are members of local Christian churches who Want to make a difference in their community Fulfil the personal specification Commit to the training programme Commit to one patrol per month OUT ON THE STREETS We wear blue uniforms with STREET PASTORS in luminous lettering, so we are easy to spot. On Friday evenings our Coleraine teams patrol the town centre and estates in Coleraine, the Heights, Ballysally, Millburn and Harpers Hill, also sometimes estates in Portrush. On Friday evenings, a team of Ballymoney street pastors also patrols in Ballymoney town centre and Riverside Park. We keep an eye out for anybody in need and are happy to connect with anyone who is out and about, particularly young people. We believe that our work helps to strengthen the community and make the streets safer. Late on Saturday nights, one team patrols in Portrush town centre and Kelly’s, while another team covers Portstewart town and the bars and clubs there, also looking out to keep people safe along the Promenade and the rocks We sweep up broken glass, pick up glass bottles, hand out flip flops and foil bodywarmers and help people to taxis. At times people are sick, upset, lonely, worse for wear or want to talk. We stay with them until they are ready to move or until further help arrives. We call the emergency services if needed. Our purpose is to be a reassuring presence on the streets, helping everybody be safer late at night. FOLLOW-UP HELP We carry information on a range of agencies that provide help of different kinds. Anyone can continue a conversation the next day by contacting the Street Pastor coordinator by phone or email. FOOTBALL PATROLS In 2016 we started occasional football patrols on Saturday afternoons, at the request of the Police, for matches that may be contentious. RESPONSE PASTORS Some of our experienced street pastors have been trained for the role of response pastors – volunteers who provide physical and emotional support in times of crisis. Whatever context they are in, street pastors offer reassurance, safety and support through listening, caring and helping. They work together with other partners to make communities safer.
