We were started by husband and wife team Lee and Karen Thompson who felt there was a need for targeted up to date first aid training to help people really can make a difference. Recently there have been so many incidents, accidents, attacks, stabbings, shootings and…. the list goes on. Having witnessed some of these incidents they decided that they would like to be part of the solution – taking the old adage that if you give a man a fish, he eats for a day but if you take the time and teach him how to fish he’ll eat for a lifetime, then maybe, just maybe their experience and the training delivered by Well Balanced Training can inspire someone and give them the skills to someday save a life.

Over 2 years ago, right when we were about to do our annual Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence fundraising event, Pandemic hit. In many ways, a lot of us are still dealing with the repercussions of COVID. So many creative projects were halted, erased, or forgotten. For those creative folks who thrived during shelter in place, we applaud you! And for those that felt getting anything done was impossible, believe me, i feel you all too well, but that's ok!  When I experienced kinesiology for digestive issues, it literally changed my life for the better. My digestive discomfort disappeared, I had more energy and felt the recommendations given for dietary choices improved my health and wellbeing. From that moment, I was determined to learn and train as a Kinesiologist to support friends, family and clients with health conditions. Having practised kinesiology for over 10 years, I have supported clients with varying health problems including digestive, fertility, hormonal, stress, structural/joint issues, skin conditions as well as clients in pain. I love seeing the progress of individuals who have felt the benefit of the session. I give guidance and support for lifestyle and nutritional changes so clients can make informed decisions on improving their health and wellbeing. I am also passionate about delivering both the Foundation and Diploma courses in kinesiology. I provide personalised courses to suit all levels of expertise and tailor the course to suit your individual needs and requirements. Whether it's learning the foundation course to add muscle response testing and techniques to current qualification or for supporting family and friends, foundation Kinesiology is a great starting point for balanced health. Moving forward onto the professional Diploma qualification is also an option as a new career opportunity. It is fantastic to see students I have taught, grow to become confident practitioners, progressing into their own specialised careers, often moving forward onto learning the diploma!

I am Hungarian, born in Romania but raised in Hungary and now living in Ireland for over 15 years. I’ve traveled around the world more than I ever dreamed of. 😊 I studied to be a textile engineer but never worked in my field. Hoping for a better life I came to Ireland. With the challenge of not having native English, building a life (in a new country) came many new experiences and learnings. There were moments when I wanted to give up! But instead, slowly from being a cleaner, I worked myself up to become a Data Analyst and Project manager in the corporate world. Growing and learning has always motivated me, so I have read books, taken courses and started my journey in self-development. Financially I achieved what I was only dreaming of when I set foot in Ireland. I had my house, car, great job (which I enjoyed but didn’t love), supportive friends and my loving family in Hungary. But something was missing.. Specifically with dating and relationships, in life, I’ve had some struggles! I lost all trust in men and completely closed off afterwards. There were difficult times and there were good times. Even when I was independent and content, there was definitely something missing. I hoped to find a partner, someone who I trusted and felt safe with. I wanted to fix ME, to be able to create that fulfilled life I dreamed of with a loving partner. At the time it looked like an endless search and felt that there was no hope. I will never forget when a dating agent told me that he was giving up as even the dating company lost hope in me

Progressions Tutoring was set up in 2014 by Sarah Lee, a primary school teacher and mum to 4 children. Sarah has a BA (Hons) Degree in Primary Education and is Paediatric First Aid trained. As well as being a member of The Tutors Association, Sarah has also maintained registration with Ofsted over the last few years to give parents the opportunity to pay via childcare voucher accounts. Children’s access to high quality teaching and learning is the team’s absolute focus. 8 years on and Sarah now works alongside a small team of qualified teachers who deliver high quality teaching to more than 40 children weekly. Whether they are working on their phonic knowledge in Year 1 or calculating algebraic expressions in Year 5 and 6, each child is delivered a personalised learning program and given the time and attention they need in every session. “When I first began tutoring, my aim was to give every child who walked through my doors, the very best opportunity in being able to learn and reach their full potential through fun, engaging but most importantly, nurturing sessions. Every child was and still is, treated as if they are my own. I knew what I wanted to get from the education system for my own children but being a teacher realised that this wasn’t always achievable for each and every child from a class of 30. I felt that through my tuition, I could change that scenario some-what, I could possibly be the difference that allowed a child to become more confident and ready for new challenges”.
