The Dog First Aid Co. Ltd was established in May 2020 by Registered Veterinary Nurse, Amy. Written in line with the latest RECOVER guidelines and fully compliant with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, Amy created informative Ofqual regulated & CPD accredited courses to educate all dog professionals and owners on a variety of canine emergencies. Amy started her veterinary career as an Auxiliary Nurse in 2011 prior to becoming a veterinary nursing student. Amy began her training in Preston, Lancashire in 2013 before qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 2015 and joining the RCVS Register of Veterinary Nurses in February 2016. Shortly after qualifying, Amy moved from first opinion general practice into emergency & critical care nursing and began her Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency & Critical Care – which she completed in 2019. Having worked in emergency & critical care medicine for some time alongside owning dogs of her own, Amy grew a passion for dog first aid and hopes that utilising her skills to educate pet professionals and owners, it will enable them to perform life saving care to their dog until they reach professional veterinary care. We have since welcomed Lauren to the team as a second course tutor. Lauren is also an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse as we believe veterinary based courses should only be taught by veterinary professionals who carry the necessary skillset and experience to teach the subject. The Dog First Aid Co. Ltd is CPD accredited and a registered training provider with iPET Network, which is an Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual, CCEA Regulation and Qualifications Wales, specialising in qualifications in the Canine and Feline sector.

Cheltenham Tutors Ltd was founded at the start of the pandemic with the purpose of providing affordable and accessible tuition to students. With schools closing and all learning being remote, we thought that there was a need to offer additional educational support to schools, families, and children. We also thought that this tuition should be accessible to all. We therefore provided affordable online tuition throughout the pandemic and we worked with local schools and families to deliver hundreds of hours of online tutoring. 9am to 3pm each day, we logged on to support students in their learning and to offer 1-2-1 teaching. We greatly enjoyed working with all the wonderful schools, families, and students and making a difference to the education of many children. Now that life is returning to normal and schools are fully open again, we continue to offer affordable tuition to schools and we are happy to take on private clients as well. We offer our tutoring predominantly face to face. What we do We specialise in meeting students where they are at and moving them forward in their learning. Because we are run by teachers, we know what students need to cover in their curriculum, where they should be academically, and how best to accelerate progress in learning. We also believe that all students are capable of making good progress, and that it is normal to struggle and need extra help. The tutoring we provide is professional, effective, and supportive. It starts with getting to know the student and moves onto boosting academic performance, all in an atmosphere which is personal and supportive.

When Ruth Anne Rogerson and her daughter Tammy founded Dance London in 1993, they wanted to create a studio that focuses on technical training and the love of dance. A place for everyone to be themselves and just enjoy dance. 25 years later, we are still following the same philosophy. When you take the competitiveness, awards, examinations, and medals out of dance, everyone can just be. Our dancers, parents and faculty don’t compete with one another— instead, they encourage and support each other. Everyone is equal and a part of our family. At Dance London, you become a part of a family that supports and encourages one another. Your child won’t feel left out or overshadowed by others, because no matter their age or skill level everyone is treated equally. Your child will be placed in the best class based on their skill level and age. All 6 – 17-year-old classes are based on skill level and age. This builds our dancers’ confidence by not feeling lost or behind in class. It also gives our high-level dancers the opportunity to keep progressing and not be held back in a class that is not challenging. By grouping dancers together that are in the same age range, they are able to connect and bond socially with their peers. We cap our class size. Instead of packing as many dancers as we can into our classes, we have a maximum number of dancers allowed per class. This allows our faculty to give enough one-on-one attention to each student.

I am honored to serve as Interim Superintendent for the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS); the finest Career and Technical Education program in Connecticut. For over 100 years, this school system has prepared high school students and adult learners with the skills to be successful in high-demand technical careers, while equipping Connecticut business and industry with a talented workforce to support economic growth. I am proud to be a part of that story. For 30 years I have worked in a variety of education roles. Most recently, I served as Superintendent of Bristol Public Schools where I was directly involved in the development and implementation of the district’s career partnership with business and industry in the city of Bristol, as well as a successful school-to-work career pathways program. Through this experience I observed how opportunities in the skilled-trades can transform the lives of students by setting them up for a living-wage career. I am excited to learn more about the opportunities CTECS offers. I believe that educational leaders are in the business of serving people first. Student growth, achievement and outcomes do not happen without a solid school foundation built on trust, seamless and open dialogue, and the willingness to engage in critical conversations.
