I have one wish – to pioneer beautiful and elegant floristry using stunning blooms to create simple enchanting designs. Based in Walton-on-Thames, working from my ‘small but perfectly formed’ workshop overlooking the River Thames, I use inspiration from the nature that surrounds me within all my creations. After pursuing a short but invaluable career in destination marketing, I couldn’t resist the call to follow my dreams and pursue my passions and become a florist. The seed was planted at an early age by my beloved Gran, who’s love of flowers and flower arranging (albeit for the Women’s Institute!) rubbed off on me along with her tireless unbounded creativity. Starting as a delivery driver for Royal florist Moyses Stevens, quickly stepping up the ladder to manage one of their shops, this experience resulted in an amazing six year career at leading fashionable florist, McQueens, as Events Manager. This wonderful opportunity allowed me to venture into the celebrity world on many occasions as well as working with hundreds of couples to provide flowers for their special day. Working together with some of the most talented florists and floral artists in the country, I have built up my creative portfolio to suit any occasion and need. I truly love my job, and I would love you to be part of it!

Wheatfen Broad in Surlingham is both the inspiration and main location for Wheatfen Forest School. For forty years Ted Ellis, the well-known writer and broadcaster, lived here and devoted his lifetime to natural history. He was one of the great characters of East Anglia and had the ability to communicate his enthusiasm to everyone. Phyllis Ellis, his wife, was passionate about conservation and environmental education, often taking parties of school children around the fen. She had an adventurous spirit and was awarded an MBE for Services to Nature Conservation in 1996 aged 83 (shortly before she took up abseiling). Wheatfen Forest School was established by their granddaughter, Rose Hoare, in 2015. Rose hopes to carry on the family legacy by inspiring a new generation of naturalists and conservationists through Forest School. Wheatfen Broad is also home to the Wheatfen Nature Reserve, which was founded in Ted Ellis’s memory. This stunning wilderness is recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is one of the last tidal marshes of the Yare Valley. The Trust aims to preserve its rich and fragile ecology, and to keep this land and its wildlife accessible for the enjoyment and education of all. Hi, I am Scott and I started Wee Wobblers in 2017. The inspiration for the classes was my love of cycling and teaching my daughter Ayla how to ride her bike. I have always loved Ayla taking part in group learning and classes and when I looked for something like Wee Wobblers there was very little being offered in Scotland. I started in Paisley Lagoon in 2017 offering two classes, very quickly this became three and then to meet the demand we started to offer Sunday sessions in Renfrew. Speaking with the parents in the classes I realised that people were travelling from near and far to our classes which gave me the confidence to expand. Fast forward to today and Wee Wobblers has expanded across the West of Scotland offering classes in 6 areas with a total of 23 classes a week!! We are very lucky to have a great team of instructors who all have a passion for teaching children how to cycle. All our areas follow the same structure and lesson plans as our formula for teaching the children has proven to been highly successful.
