Older generation learning new digital skills Nearly one in five over-60s are still struggling to adapt to an online world, according to research from BT Group. New name, same look (for now) We recently announced BT Group as the parent company of our four brilliant brands: BT, EE, Plusnet & Openreach. BT Group has its own identity, as shown on this page. In the future, we’ll use this when we talk about things like our purpose, our people and how we’re performing. But we’re only making changes when it’s cost effective. So for now most of this website will stay in the BT brand. Producing honey was always the cornerstone of what Northumberland Honey Co did, but as demand for Sparkling Mead increased, the honey produced has been increasingly diverted towards Sparkling Mead. This enabled increase in the number of colonies kept, and since 2018 colony numbers have increased from around 40 colonies to a present day number in excess of 200. With a focus on breeding sustainable bees that survive better! We are all about safeguarding the future of the honey bee, increasing their sustainability and number. The great support received for our bees, pure natural honey and range beeswax candles and of course Sparkling Mead has meant that we have been able to signficantly increase bee numbers at a rate of around 3,000 bees for every bottle of Sparkling Mead consumed!

Age does not define us, our voice can unlock the past and create the future Intergenerational Opera is a music outreach programme running in East Sussex bringing together Primary School children and elderly people from the community including those with Dementia through creative music workshops. The project will use music to develop communication and social interaction, boost confidence and creative expression and to generally improve overall wellbeing for all its participants. Each Intergenerational project will run in conjunction with the school term in weekly sessions. Relationships formed during the project are predicted to outlive the project. Sessions are run by two professional opera singers and supported by a pianist. Music is learnt by ear and created by participants. The project culminates with a performance to which parents and carers are invited.
