This video editing workshop equips you with the essential skills to create professional-looking videos for your business, even if you've never edited before.

Developing creative writing skills with a focus on imaginative writing, structuring, spelling, grammar and punctuation. The aim of the workshops is to help students to have written, or have made good progress on writing, their own 500 Word Short Story. We will be focussing on increasing range of vocabulary and language technique choices, along with introducing more advanced ideas about structuring stories; developing skills specifically pertinent to the Creative Writing tasks given in the English Language GCSE. Day 1 Solenoids and actuators, principles of operation and maintenance State precautions that may be necessary when removing cores from energised AC solenoids Transformers, sizing, applications and uses Heaters, applications, uses and safety precautions to be observed Temperature controllers, various types, principles of operation and uses Thermal sensors, various types, principles of operation and uses. Day 2 Proximity devices, limit switches and proximity switches, various types, principles of operation and uses Practical workshop, gaining an understanding of typical connections of various proximity devices and the range of available supplies catered for, voltage levels and current type Development of a typical simple control system using push buttons, proximity devices, relays and indicator lamps. Day 3 Protection against overcurrent Protective devices, various types, suitability and uses Earthing, including principles of protection against indirect shock Undervoltage protection. Day 4 Cable and core termination techniques, including crimping and soldering Practical workshop terminating YY, SY, SWA and MICC cable Testing, basic principles of circuit protective conductor testing and insulation resistance testing, instruments used and expected values Practical workshop testing cables terminated previously and testing cables with faults on test rig. Day 5 Fault finding, safety precautions and principles Practical workshop on fault rigs Root cause analysis PPM and maximising uptime

The Total Air Conditioning and Refrigeration training courses are accredited with the City & Guilds 2079, BESA Pipework and Brazing – (commercial), along with an EAL Unit* – Maintenance of Refrigeration Systems from the EAL Certificate in Engineering Technology (QCF) qualification. (*Practical elements will be covered during the course with a Project booklet to be completed by the student with an element of self-study after the course completion for us to claim the Unit certification from EAL). Our Total Air Conditioning and Refrigeration training courses are designed to be as practical as they possibly can be, with workshop time taking more than 70% of the course. During the Total Air Conditioning and Refrigeration training course, you will, install, repair, fault find, adapt and commission on a variety of different equipment, because we believe the way to learn is to do it!! City & Guilds 2392 10 level 2 is a short course aimed at newcomers to inspection and testing of electrical installations, and also the logical route towards 2391-50, 2391-51, or 2391-52. City & Guilds 2392 10 level 2 Certification is achieved on successful completion of both the practical assessment and PC based examination. A four day course for a student possessing a working knowledge of the wiring regulations, to the level of City and Guilds 2382. We strongly recommend City and Guilds 2382 is achieved prior to sitting this City & Guilds 2392 10 level 2 course, though this is NOT an entry requirement. The City & Guilds 2392 10 level 2 exam is a PC based multiple choice examination has 50 questions, is 1 hour 40 mins long and is closed book, with instant result. To further support this City & Guilds 2392 10 level 2 course, we offer a 1 day practical workshop available to candidates who have completed the course and require further ‘hands on’ practical experience prior to their practical examination. Most students who take this option, elect to complete this the day before their practical assessment. The practical assessment takes approximately 2 hours, this can, if available, be taken on the day following the on-line examination or at a later date at a time which is mutually convenient to both student and centre.
