Welcome to Fouz Schools. Our prayer is that we can support your child with the education they need to succeed in all endeavors of life and the hereafter. Having personally grownup and lived the maktab/madrasah education experience in the 80’s and 90’s and started teaching in the late 90’s to the present day, coupled with fatherhood, I have had the opportunity to build a close understanding and interest in making sure our community can provide a learning experience to young Muslims that is relevant and relatable for the world they live in. This is despite the limitations we have in resourcing and time. In a time when our children are surrounded with competing ideologies and ways of living, and with maktab education being foundational to their lives as Muslims, it is critical that it hits home for them as independently thinking individuals. I would like to thank our wonderful teachers and parents over the years for their trust and belief in the vision that there was always a better way to educate our children. Teachers have worked tirelessly to develop the curriculum whilst simultaneously delivering it diligently. Keeping one eye on current student progress and an eye on the horizon. In this fast changing world we have constantly reflected on the effectiveness of our content and delivery in preparing for the future. We pray that Allah blesses this work and the future of our children so that they may take the reins and lead us to even greater heights. Ameen! Mohammed Abdullah MEd

We deliver a pathway to change Working in partnership with both the private sector and local authorities where we all share a common interest in developing and supporting young people our services can also be accessed by the general public. Here you'll get an insight into the work we are currently undertaking and how we see the next phase operating where we can encouraging more young people and creating greater opportunities for staff and volunteers. We work with those who are struggling to see a better future for themselves on the right side of the law, help break that recurring cycle and those finding it difficult to deal with and make sense of their present situation. Here at the gateland we make a commitment to stand by our service users whilst they navigate the maze of change on there new journey. We work in three key areas in development & support : - Personal Development - Offender Management - Supported Living Working with the three big R's which are the fundamental building blocks at the heart of the gateland where the foundations have been laid for : - Re-training - Rehabilitating - Re-educating Our client group is predominantly young males between the age of sixteen to twenty-two who have been before the courts and are deemed to be at risk or in need of a particular support package. Whilst it is recognise that each local authority will provide the necessary care for it's service users, inevitably there will always be individual cases / areas of training and support that are uneconomical for the authority to provide.

Brighter Futures @ Safer Places

Essex

Safer Places (formerly known as Harlow Women’s Aid) has over 40 years’ experience in delivering holistic support services to adult and child survivors of Domestic Abuse across Essex and Hertfordshire. Over the years we have grown and adapted our services to meet the needs of the communities we serve. Domestic abuse has both a devastating and radiating impact and affects the survivor and their families, friends, colleagues and communities. Our team take a non-judgemental and respectful approach to their work and we will do all that we can to ensure that everyone who needs our services can use them, how they want to, when they want to, and where they want to. Domestic abuse does not discriminate and happens in every community. We are proud to work inclusively with anyone who has experienced abuse and our services are designed to reach everyone impacted by abuse. To do this we offer a range of services and work collaboratively with our partners in a range of venues. The support that we offer is holistic, trauma informed and individually tailored to each survivor as we know that although there are common behavioural patterns, not one experience is the same as any other and there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution. We know that survivor’s needs are better met when they are involved in creating solutions as equals so our support is co-produced alongside survivors. Our highly qualified staffs are there to empower survivors, giving them the knowledge and confidence to choose the steps on their journey to recovery. Many go on to achieve things they once thought of as impossible. The foundations of our organisation were built by survivors – as were the foundations of one of our refuges. A former project saw a number of survivors qualify as carpenters, bricklayers, painters, plasterers and amenity horticulturalists. The refuge now accommodates 10 families in separate self-contained flats built solely by survivors, for survivors. We recognise that if we are to see our vision materialise and help to create a world where everyone lives a life free from fear and abuse, we need to respond to abuse together, as one. Our training helps professionals and members of the community to recognise the signs of domestic abuse, understand the issues and respond quickly and effectively when a survivor chooses to access support. From short awareness sessions to full IDVA and ISAC qualifications we are committed to sharing our experience and what works to make more families safer. Safer Places vision is a society where everyone lives a life free from fear and abuse Mission Safer Places exist to drive down the incidence and impact of domestic and sexual abuse and to support those who use our services in their journey to recovery, resilience and independence. Values These are the values we promise to uphold so we never loose sight of our mission: Client Led – We empower our clients to exercise choice and control of their support. We ensure client’s voices are heard and that they impact our decision making and shape our services Accessible – We work inclusively with our clients, partners and communities. Anyone who is at risk of experiencing abuse can access our services when, how and where they need them. Respectful – We adopt a trauma informed, holistic approach to support. We listen and believe, are non-judgemental and open and honest about what we can and cannot do. Effective – We deliver high quality services that work for our clients. Our practice is informed by our clients, research, evidence and learning from experts by experience.

Colwyn Bay

In 1983 at a time of record high unemployment a group of local business leaders came together. Their vision? Create an organisation that would enable young people to develop the future skills they needed to obtain work and forge successful careers, while benefiting the community. This organisation became North Wales Training. It steadily grew, responding to local employment challenges. It built strong relationships with private and public sector partners. And it cultivated expert knowledge in the key skills people of the area needed to be successful in modern workplaces. Having already formed a work-based learning partnership with Coleg Llandrillo and Arfon Dwyfor Training Ltd, it was only natural for North Wales Training to partner with the emergent umbrella organisation Grŵp Llandrillo Menai (GLlM) when this was established in 2012. That the Grwp - the largest education provider in Wales - decided to acquire North Wales Training fully in 2018 is a testament to the reputation North Wales Training had earned itself. Over 38 years the company has raised the prospects of thousands of people and businesses on its own and in partnership with leading education providers, always keeping step with the times. It draws on its rich heritage and wealth of experience to offer a comprehensive range of high-quality innovative programmes, training and job opportunities. As we navigate another challenging decade, the staff at North Wales Training continue to work tirelessly in pursuit of the company’s vision, that "all our learners will succeed." THE VISION, MISSION & CORE VALUES Vision All our learners will succeed. Mission North Wales Training is committed to helping people gain skills and qualifications for employability, so that they are equipped for productive, sustainable and fulfilling employment in a modern economy. Core Values LEADERSHIP – Lead by example, embracing change and striving for excellence. INTEGRITY – Integrity is at the heart of all our relationships and everything we do. COMMUNICATION – Build open and honest relationships through communication. EQUALITY – We will embrace diversity in all aspects of our work. SUSTAINABILITY – We will ensure we are resource efficient and our working. INNOVATION – We will continue to be innovative and develop entrepreneurial thinking. I am extremely happy with the service provided by North Wales Training to ATS over the past 3 years. We have recruited a number of young people from the Traineeship Programme. The service is fantastic and Donna has been a great help in particular. I am extremely happy to continue using North Wales Training in the future and would like to thank them for their continued support! ANTHONY BEACH - ATS EUROMASTER Her confidence has grown immensely since she started and completed her level 3 diploma. Being given the opportunity to be a supervisor and to complete her Health and Social Care Apprenticeship training has made a huge difference to her. I believe it is because she has a fantastic assessor who has empowered her to show her full potential. Top marks for all involved, always a pleasure to deal with North Wales Training.
