Lilyput Lane is a cute, child sized street perfect for role playing and imaginative play. The ‘Lane’ has a police station, house, beauty salon, café, shop, vet and doctors surgeries. All rooms are fully equipped with related toys so children can embrace each theme. In addition to the ‘Lane’ there is a child size road complete with road signs and traffic lights where children can ride on our number of different vehicles. There is also a train table where children can build their own train tracks to play with and a car table where they are able to drive the toy cars. A construction area is also provided with bricks and tools to play with and dress up area where children could be anything from a princess to a superhero. We also provide a designated baby area with plenty of baby toys and a lovely calm area with cushions to lie on and books to read. We have a small craft room where crafts will always be available to do and a lovely big display wall where our budding artists can display their work ! For the parents/carers there is a lovely café area where you can relax with a cuppa and bite to eat in the knowledge your child has a safe environment in which to play. Many Taekwondo instructors will tell you that Taekwondo is an Olympic sport, which is true, but not all will tell you that we are the only Taekwondo Club in the city of Derby that practices Olympic Taekwondo as developed and practiced in South Korea and the only group that is a full member of the official national governing body for Olympic Taekwondo, and that is British Taekwondo which’s functions include responsibility for the selection of National Teams to compete at International and Olympic level. We have trained British and European champions. We have also had a number of students selected to train with and represent Great Britain. Since its inception in 1977, Playpen has come a long way to be transformed into one of the leading English Medium Schools of Bangladesh. Playpen was founded by the prominent Educationalist Mrs. Zeba Khan. Although it saw a humble beginning as a Kindergarten School in 1997 – by 1998, however it had expanded Classes upto Primary Level and then went on to be transformed into High School also. In 2003, Playpen sent its first candidate to appear for the Ordinary Level Examination. Commendably, the Candidate obtained straight “A” grades in all the seven subjects he had taken and appeared for. Advanced Level Classes were introduced in the year 2013 by the School’s Honourable Chairman, Mr. A Mannan Khan. The first Batch of A’ Level Students enrolled from Playpen was in the year 2015. The establishment of Playpen’s permanent Campus was also initiated by our Honourable Chairman Mr. A Mannan Khan. This was like a dream come true. Playpen was designed by the renowned Architect Mr. Ehsan Khan. The state of the art and lucrative 10 storied building, with so many breathing spaces, caught the eyes of all. Apart from having large Classrooms, spacious corridors, hallways and many other facilities, the building has a unique and breathtaking look. Mrs. Sorabon Tohura, the Principal shifted Playpen to its own campus in Bashundhara Residential Area on the 19th July 2018. With her sincere dedication and drive, Playpen continues its journey of 44 long years.

Here in the Purbeck Workshop, we are a registered charity (no. 1161110) based in Wool, Dorset and we are dedicated to providing creative escapes to anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. Our relaxing and supportive workshop provides FREE activities and events throughout the year, where you can meet other people, carers and family members, who have all been affected by cancer. For us, it's not about you mastering new craft skills. It's about you taking some valuable time out, having fun and engaging with your creative self. We'll aim to take your mind off the worries and fears that cancer can bring, just for a couple of hours. If you have had a recent or previous diagnosis, if you have been bereaved through cancer or you are a family member or carer in need of a creative escape, you are all very welcome to attend our workshop. We are based a short walk from Wool Station, with off-street parking and disability accessible facilities including a lift for a wheelchair.
