About this event Since the introduction of the Anti-Racist Wales Action Plan in 2022, Welsh museums have started working collaboratively with community partners to address inequality within areas such as collections, displays and programming. This session is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of this work and explore how museums can specifically develop their anti-racist practice alongside children, young people and families. This training webinar will be led by Dr Marian Gwyn. She is an experienced heritage consultant and historian, who has many years’ experience of working with the museum sector on the contested past. Marian will be joined by Hannah Sweetapple, formerly of the Egypt Centre in Swansea, and young people from Amgueddfa Cymru. They will talk about their experiences of being involved in anti-racist work in museums.
