At Stride Active we want to inspire active futures. Put simply, we want to ensure that all young people have the opportunity to be physically active and most importantly, enjoy it! We are the only organisation in Herefordshire dedicated to young people’s physical activity. As experts in in PE, school sport and physical activity, we advocate the benefits of this to support all young people, be it physically, mentally or socially. It is our belief that if we can create the right experiences for children, they will remain active throughout their adult lives. Stride Active is a not-for-profit organisation; our work is divided through two organisational ‘arms’ – Whitecross School and Stride Active Community Interest Company (CIC). We are hosted by Whitecross High School, but operate independently to support schools and organisations across Herefordshire and beyond. We have over 14 years’ experience in sharing our PE expertise with schools. We do this through a range of CPD and training opportunities. Alongside this, we also specialise in physical activity, health and wellbeing through the CIC. All of our work aims to address rising obesity and inactivity rates in children.

Dance Doctors Studios is situated at Leopold Street, Long Eaton and has something for every one. As long as you enjoy movement and music you could start dancing as early as 3 years old! Dance Doctors Studios offers a wide range of dance classes for children from 3 until 16 years old, and adults. A year of dance at Dance Doctors Studios is a busy and exciting one. We prepare children for shows, competitions, and local events such as the Well Dressings, Summer Fetes and guest performances. At Dance Doctors Studios, children can attend every Saturday for a whole day of dance. Starting from 9am and finishing at 2.15pm, during which time they will train in a variety of dance styles including Commercial, Tap, Ballet and Acro. Our students are very passionate and enthusiastic about dance and performance, all new comers are welcomed soon forgetting their first day nerves as the children’s enthusiasm brushes off on them and they are made to feel part of Dance Doctors community. Ever fancied making your own jewellery? Or perhaps you're looking for a unique gift for a loved one? At WyeMade workshops, you can create a piece of your own design in a fun and friendly environment - meet new people, and learn a new craft! Each workshop lasts between 3 - 4 hours, and is limited to four students. This ensures plenty of access to tools and professional tutoring, plus additional COVID-19 safety measures. Workshop prices include all of your materials, as well as the guidance and use of tools to make your jewellery. Tea, coffee and snacks are also provided. WyeMade Workshops are not suitable for children under 13 due to the equipment used. All children 13 to 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Please contact me before booking a place for a child so we can discuss what is involved and I can allow some extra time on the day. Promise Training Centre has been established for over 10 years, the company initially delivered ESOL as a subcontractor, successfully within 5 years Promise Training Centre has steadily grown from being a sub-contractor with major colleges within each area where it operates to become a Lead Provider with the ESFA. We have direct claim status on a number of awarding body accreditations . Promise Training course portfolio has increased to include Basic Skills and Vocational qualifications. Promise Training is made up of 2 main centres based in North and West London and a satellite centre in Harrow, the centres represent the varying different cultural differences. PQA is a dedicated performing arts school with classes for children and young adults in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre (singing & dancing) and Film & Television.OUR STORY Pauline and her husband Steve opened their first Academy when they couldn't find anything that ticked all the boxes for their son, Charlie. They wanted to be able to provide performing arts tuition that was enjoyable, fun and would build children’s confidence. More importantly, they wanted to help young people to pursue their life's dreams, whatever those dreams may be, using drama to help children realise their potential and blossom into confident young people. To Pauline and Steve, the performing arts is more than just singing and acting and they wanted to reflect that at PQA. They therefore created a performing arts school that covers the entire arts spectrum, including lessons in Comedy, Drama and of course Film & TV. When 130 students turned up for the opening of the first PQA Academy, they knew they were onto something! Over 15 years later, PQA has more than 200 Academies nationwide and is the largest provider of Film & TV education for young people in the UK.

A fully qualified fitness and dance instructor with over 20 years experience, I specialise in teaching fitness, step, aerobics/toning, pilates and bootcamp together with Zumba, street and other dance crazes. Trained initially at the renowned Moray House in Edinburgh, completing many workshops and courses, I continue to further my own education and knowledge ensuring I keep up to date with the latest research and trends and able to ensure that my classes remain fresh, relevant and exciting. I teach all age groups and levels including children with learning disabilities and have taught in over 150 schools and organisations across the South of Scotland and the North East of England promoting health and leadership training for children, young people and staff. Full day workshops teaching fitness (mainly through dance) helps young people develop self confidence, self reliance and ambition to achieve their goals, both in work and in their general lives. Showcasing the results to parents, other pupils and members of staff works wonders. Staff training days offer wellbeing and fitness workshops to teachers and training staff to improve health and balance in their increasingly busy and stressful lives.

Welcome to Manor Leas Junior Academy! Our school is an exciting place to learn and grow as an individual. Supporting Achievement Nurturing Development The Trust was formed in June 2019 to enable and develop partnerships working across a group of academies. Academy Trusts are created by a number of academies working together. Academies are independent, self-governing schools that are funded directly by the Government and not via the Local Authority. The Trust now consists of five schools, Willow Primary Academy, Belmont School, Battledown Centre, Paternoster School and The Milestone School. Each school will maintain its own unique ethos, culture and identity that has been established over many years to ensure the needs of pupils are met.
