Jeni is a qualified nurse with over 30 years experience. She has worked in intensive care and trauma units and for nearly 20 years she was a school nurse in a residential school for children with communication disorders and complex medical conditions. She has delivered medical training as far afield as Uganda as well as being a skilled First Aid instructor. She has had plenty of real life experience in putting her knowledge and skills into practice in both the work setting and at youth camps and activity days. Sarah is a qualified speech and language therapist. She has worked in schools and preschools in Kent and Sussex working with children with complex and challenging medical and communication difficulties. Sarah is a fully qualified First Aid instructor and as a mother of three energetically gifted children understands what it is like to have to give First Aid to your own child and the worries that all parents experience.

We have worked with teachers, subject leaders and senior leaders resulting in significant impact on outcomes for children. We have a wealth of experience in primary education, including senior leadership, subject leadership and consultancy. Our extensive knowledge and understanding of mathematics progression and pedagogy ensures we are well placed to write and present CPD for schools and be involved in national events, including NACE, Rising Stars UK and UKLA. Steph is also an author for the publisher Rising Stars UK, Hodder Education, Harper Collins, Pearson and GL Assessment. Started in 2001 by Trevor Cridland, an ex-competitive swimmer with over 40 years experience in teaching and coaching swimming, Cridders Swim School has grown with the demands of the community and provides swimming lessons for children in the local area. We are a Swim England Swim school and a founder member of the Havering Aquatics Network. With a firm belief that learning to swim should be a fun and happy experience Trevor and his team of experienced teachers and assistants set out to do just that, and continue to provide innovative lessons that keep youngsters learning and developing their skills and most importantly, smiling. The staff at the school are firmly committed to the care of the children who attend Cridders. Our aim is to enable all pupils to achieve their maximum potential. The Children’s Occupational Therapy service offers a child and family centred approach to support children and young people with their independence in all aspects of daily living, such as self-feeding, dressing and participating in play and school activities. The service is available to children and families across Hertfordshire. We work in partnership with parents/carers and other colleagues to promote positive outcomes for children by using a range of approaches that are individually tailored to each child and family. This may include the provision of an activity plan, specialist equipment, treatment sessions or training to parents, carers and school staff. This is achieved through individual assessments, treatment, advice and multi-agency working. The Pen Green Centre was set up as part of a substantive under-fives initiative and is housed in a 1930s former comprehensive school. At the Centre we offer high quality education and care for children and their families. We also offer information and support services for parents through home visiting, group work, health interventions, adult education and training as well as the professional development, training and dissemination of good practice though the Research, Development and Training Base, and the Teaching School. The principle functions of the Centre have remained constant over the last 37 years although we have significantly developed the accommodation. We have maintained our principles of operation; withstood radical changes in local and national government; responded creatively to new legislation and to major demographic changes, and influenced national government policy in early years.

Global Connection Learning Center (GCLC) is a 501c3 nonprofit daycare center providing full-time care for children ages eight weeks to five years. Though our center is open to the general public, we have a special focus on helping teen moms. As long as they remain in school, receive passing grades, have no disciplinary issues, and attend weekly parenting classes then teenage mothers do not have pay any fees. Our founder and director, Nancy Sylvester, was inspired to open GCLC upon retiring after 35 years as a public school counselor. Over the years, she met a staggering number of teen moms who were unable to graduate high school, despite very much wanting to continue their education. As young mothers, they simply didn't have the time or the resources. Nancy wanted to change that. Today, our program offers compassionate, quality care for little ones that enables their mothers to better themselves. Our daycare is staffed with highly experienced caregivers who treat each and every student as their own. Additionally, our team receives annual professional development sessions designed to help them prepare children for kindergarten.

ETHOS / AIMS / BELIEFS The Independent Schools Football Association Ltd. (ISFA) is affiliated to The Football Association and is recognised by The FA as the body responsible for the development of the game in the independent sector. ISFA’s ethos is that of an educational organisation. It aims to create opportunities for children within the sector by organising and encouraging competitions, representative teams and development opportunities as well as providing coaching courses and conferences for staff. ISFA believes strongly in football as a vehicle for education and in the importance of Respect and Fair Play. ISFA is a small organisation, with four members of staff and limited financial resources. Consequently, ISFA is heavily dependent on volunteer teachers to deliver its programme; there must therefore necessarily be limitations on what can be delivered, and the Association must set realistic targets. ISFA believes its role is to provide quality competitions, representative football, etc., and aims to encourage and assist its member schools to provide the quantity in terms of participation through regional tournaments, block friendly fixtures, internal school football, etc.
