Cathy is based in Suffolk, but travels widely across the UK and internationally with Awareness Matters running commissioned workshops and training for multi-agency professionals, counsellors/psychotherapists, from both statutory and voluntary organisations on issues related to domestic violence & abuse. Cathy has 24 years experience as a therapist and is a registered MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy adhering to the BACP Code of Ethics. Cathy values working therapeutically with both clients and supervisees and enjoys the unique learning process that therapy provides. Cathy has a particular interest in the traumatic impact of domestic and sexual abuse. Cathy is Chair of Trustees for the charity Compassion – addressing domestic abuse and providing long term support to victims and families. For many years Cathy sat on the DV Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel addressing domestic abuse prosecutions for the Suffolk Crown Prosecution Service and continues to provide consultancy for organisations. Cathy is enthusiastic and passionate about her work in the arena of domestic abuse, but when not working Cathy enjoys time with her family, walking, gardening, travel and catching up with friends.

Our project vision is to create vibrant local, regional and European learning communities, fuelled by Regional Learning Facilitators. We need new organisational concepts and ownership of issues and concerns from the crowd. Our approach lies in analog and digital networking and support structures that take into account the value of informal networks. The key message of the project is: “When we share, we win”. By learning communities, we mean forms of exchange and cooperation organised by ourselves or supported by the community, which ideally are supported by the involvement of education authorities. The Learning Communities deal with solutions to upcoming problems in everyday education, with challenges of the education system at different system levels, with the creation, exchange and further development of teaching materials, etc. The Learning Communities are also involved in the development of new teaching materials and in the development of new teaching methods. As concrete project goals, we see: the training of 24 Regional Learning Community Facilitators at least 12 Regional Learning Communities in 4 European countries the creation of a European cross-border learning community with at least 48 active members The development of a Learning Community Facilitator Curriculum, which will later become a standard KA1 workshop offer. the development of an AI-supported passive networking platform for teachers and school stakeholders to test a further development option for eTwinning that currently relies only on active search functions Our target group is teachers and their reference system. Our aim is to indirectly support the work of the teachers and to facilitate their planning, implementation and follow-up of their lessons by focusing on the principles of cooperation and exchange. Through active networking, but also by pointing out connection possibilities, teachers should no longer have the feeling of being alone in the corridor but embedded in a professional system that also brings them more self-confidence and self-efficacy.

The NEN Trust was setup in 2008 to play the critical role of establishing an entrepreneurship ecosystem in a large number of tier 1 and 2 academic campuses across India. The goal was to enable young people on campuses to ‘do’ entrepreneurship while still on campus so that they could actively build aspiration, skills, confidence and networks which would increase their chances of starting new ventures successfully sooner rather than later upon graduation. Since its inception, NEN has worked with 500+ academic institutions including the founding institutions of its network IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad, BITS Pilani, S P Jain Institute of Management and IBAB. NEN spent its initial years creating and establishing student E Cells actively running activities, competitions and start-up sessions across hundreds of campuses; trained 1500+ faculty in ‘doing experiential entrepreneurship programs’ including workshops and courses on campus; helped spur the development of 100+ entrepreneurship and innovation centres within its network institutions; and enabled 100,000s of students to get the exposure, and develop skills in entrepreneurship and venture creation. Today, NEN enables campuses and incubators to run virtual accelerated programs to maximise startup success. Sami Green is a teacher, mentor, and workshop facilitator in Bristol and North Somerset. She completed a Fine Art BA at University Centre Somerset with Honours in 2021. Before this, Sami worked for 15 years creating, coordinating and building imaginative decorative environments for events. Wedding magazines and blogs across the world featured her styled photoshoots. Installation commissions include Plimsoll Productions, Tokyo World and Awesome Events. In May 2021, her degree artworks won a window display space and funding at Weston-Super-Shop Windows, a community project organised by Weston Arts Space. In 2022 her community-centred artwork Flutter II for St. John’s Church, Highbridge, won a new artist bursary from Somerset Art Works. Sami continues to develop The Transformation Project, curating responses through artist collaboration for SAW Festival in September 2022. Sami used her degree studies as an opportunity to develop ideas about perception and experience within critical spatial practice. A development from events experience. Her July 2021 exhibition, Emergentism, experimented with the sensory and intellectual processes that help us understand the world around us. Taking inspiration from nature, her unusual, abstract, material, and process-driven forms offered participants immersive, light and sound experiences through colour and frequency. In 2022, ideas led by research into art education practices and the benefits of art and culture to the wellbeing of a community have become central to development. Sami has worked with the community to develop a socially engaged artwork, exploring the collective potential and the possibilities in collaboration. She is working with cross-disciplinary performers and makers to promote a four-dimensional approach to experience through sculptural installation, sound, performance, and workshops. Simon Brooks works with schools and educators around the world interested in building cultures of thinking, where children delight in their learning and develop deep, meaningful and lasting understanding through the process of becoming critical and creative thinkers. Simon holds an Honour's degree in English Literature from Cardiff University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Worcester, and a Master of Educational Studies degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia. In 2014, he was the recipient of the prestigious UNSW Dean's Leadership Award, and was honoured to become a fellow of the Project Zero Institute at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He is currently in the process of writing a book introducing a new framework for teaching and learning called Curiosity-Based-Learning. Educator - Facilitator - Change Agent Simon has enjoyed many years’ experience in senior educational leadership roles, working in both government and independent sectors in the UK and Australia. His first significant leadership role was as Head of English at Cleeve School in Cheltenham, UK. Following this, Simon spent ten years as Director of Teaching and Learning at Masada College in Sydney Australia, developing close connections with Dr. Ron Ritchhart and the Project Zero team at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In this role, Simon led the transformation of the school into a lighthouse school for Cultures of Thinking pedagogy and practice, and became a key influencer in the cultures of thinking movement in Australia. Simon’s most recent in-school role prior to becoming an independent educational consultant in 2016 was as Regional Principal for an international network of independent schools. In 2017, Simon became a founding member of the Project Zero Sydney Network, and continues his work with this not-for-profit organisation designed to share Harvard Project Zero ideas with the educational community. In 2018, Simon and his family moved from Sydney to Cheltenham in the UK, and he continues to work closely with partner schools in the UK, Australia and around the world. Darleen is an Empowerment Coach, with qualifications in Professional Life Coaching and Hypnosis, as well as years of experience as a safe space facilitator. She is also constantly focusing on broadening her knowledge in many different areas. Making her incredibly resourceful when working with clients. She was born in Germany but raised in Portugal for most of her childhood. At 18 years of age, she took a leap and moved to the UK in the hope to find purpose as she had always felt out of place. At the time, she didn't know where she was headed or what for, all she knew was that her intuition was telling her to jump... Seven years have passed since the day she set foot in England. Since then, she has moved 7 times and explored many different career paths. It has been a roller coaster, but one worth going on. Darleen always felt drawn to spirituality but was afraid of being seen as crazy. So one of her first spiritual eye-openers was a book called The Celestine Prophecy, by James Redfield. From then on, small and big encounters have shaped her beliefs and shown her that she was not alone on this journey. When she attended her first Women's Circle in 2019 (held by Ella Grace Denton), all the judgment, competition and fear she had felt towards and from other women in her life was replaced by love, respect and compassion. It made her feel so abundant and helped her realise that we are all one and that we do not have to go on this journey by ourselves. The moment she arrived home that day, she knew it was something she would love to facilitate for others, as she always wanted to help people. After months of avoiding her intuition (as we are conditioned to do) she finally gave in, looked past the fear of judgment and began to hold space for others. She also began to coach people, as well as share all the knowledge that life has given her via Instagram. Now she has fully committed to her calling, aiming to help her soul clients in every way possible.
