Shinken Dojo Karate Academy is a karate club that has been teaching in East Hull
for over 30 years and in early 2022 opened up a second club in Welton followed
with a third club opening in Willerby early 2023. Karate is a popular Japanese
martial art that was originally developed on the islands of Okinawa. Karate can
be practiced as an art, self-defence or as a combat sport all of which is taught
at our clubs. The club has produced multiple English and British medallists and
have had a multitude of athletes compete for the England National Karate Team at
European and World Championships. So, whether its learning karate for fun, to
keep fit or having the desire to compete at high level competitions Shinken Dojo
is the perfect place to start.
