My passion for travel started when I was 17, leaving home and going to the Irish traditional city of Galway on the beautiful west coast of Ireland to live and work. This journey has continued and never wavers to the current day. I’m always looking for the next adventure and to “step outside my comfort zone” I have taught English and lived in San Francisco, Sydney, Melbourne, Hungary, Spain and traveled extensively all over Asia and the Pacific. pexels-photo-1560932 Educational Tourism I currently work in Educational tourism and I’m the European Project Manager for Foyle International Ltd. I oversee Erasmus work-based internships from all over Europe. I also write large funding applications to give local people the opportunity to experience different cultures, learn new working ethics and enhance their employability skills. I sit on the UK board for ECVET (European Accreditation for Vocational Education and Training) and travel to different European destinations to discuss and devise methodologies to further enhance and improve Erasmus procedures and programmes. Ethos I believe that travel and experiential learning are paramount to one’s development. This includes tourism that focuses on history, culture, heritage, outdoor and therapeutic activities. Cheltenham Tutors Ltd was founded at the start of the pandemic with the purpose of providing affordable and accessible tuition to students. With schools closing and all learning being remote, we thought that there was a need to offer additional educational support to schools, families, and children. We also thought that this tuition should be accessible to all. We therefore provided affordable online tuition throughout the pandemic and we worked with local schools and families to deliver hundreds of hours of online tutoring. 9am to 3pm each day, we logged on to support students in their learning and to offer 1-2-1 teaching. We greatly enjoyed working with all the wonderful schools, families, and students and making a difference to the education of many children. Now that life is returning to normal and schools are fully open again, we continue to offer affordable tuition to schools and we are happy to take on private clients as well. We offer our tutoring predominantly face to face. What we do We specialise in meeting students where they are at and moving them forward in their learning. Because we are run by teachers, we know what students need to cover in their curriculum, where they should be academically, and how best to accelerate progress in learning. We also believe that all students are capable of making good progress, and that it is normal to struggle and need extra help. The tutoring we provide is professional, effective, and supportive. It starts with getting to know the student and moves onto boosting academic performance, all in an atmosphere which is personal and supportive.

Making Futures is a social enterprise working with a wide range of groups to improve health, wellbeing, self-esteem & employability through creative arts. Making Futures CIC is the latest addition to the DT Craft & Design family. Debbie has been quietly running Making Futures for several years, teaching and producing training materials, mentoring and working with community groups. As it has now ‘grown up’ we thought it should have its own website so welcome to our new space here on the web. The DT Crafts shop is, of course still very much available, with an ever-increasing range of products (and a need for more storage space!). It’s still just the two of us looking after you so expect the same personalised service and attention to detail here as at the shop. Debbie will still be answering your emails and questions (no ‘bots’ on our sites!), taking workshop and course bookings and discussing your requirements for courses, groups and projects. Speaking of which, we are thrilled to announce that we have joined the Artybird flock and we are delighted to be able to offer two amazing, professional distance learning knitwear design programmes – both accredited by City & Guilds. We’ve produced a short video and prospectuses for each programme which you can find here. And for those of you who may not have met us in person or are new visitors, we’ve done a short video about Debbie and how DT Crafts and Making Futures came about, here. Welcome to Moo Music York a weekly music and multi-sensory group for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Music has been shown to be an essential part of every child’s development and at Moo Music York we strongly believe in the benefits of music, movement and creative play. Using puppets, props, bubbles, instruments, and our specially written Moo tunes, we aid children’s development while having lots of fun. Our interactive classes are designed around our Moo Music songs developed by Early Years Educators and professional musicians. They are catchy and uplifting and many cover early years topics so the children are learning while having fun. At Moo Music York our sessions are baby and child led and our team is proud to provide a warm and judgment free environment that is a great way to make new friends – both for the children and the adults too. It is extremely rewarding to watch the children grow in confidence week by week building their social skills, physical abilities, speech and language skills, memory, coordination skills and musical ability and enjoyment. In a typical Moo session you can expect to sing, dance, dress up, explore, learn and play. Moo is all about having fun and connecting with your little one so the more you put in the more you get out. Each week we follow a different theme, go on all sorts of adventures and use new and exciting props to encourage imaginative play. In each session we have a mix of old and new songs. We repeat a few songs every week as children love familiarity and it is amazing how quickly they learn the songs by heart.

Working as a Beauty Therapist since leaving school and running a salon of her own, Christine has years of experience in the Beauty industry. Whilst training and managing her staff she realised that she had a passion to train others and raise the standards of training, so she decided to complete her PGCE, and moved on to work as an assessor in college. She did this for 13 years before leaving the college to teach in a private academy (where she worked with Tracy). Here she led the training in various brow and SPMU treatments. As the Head tutor here at The Beauty Hub, Christine teaches the majority of our courses. With her vast experience and knowledge you know you are in safe hands! A few words from Christine - ‘I love teaching and feel that 1:1 tuition delivers the best results possible for my students to make sure they really understand every part of the treatment thoroughly. It is very important to me that when they go back to the salon they feel confident that they can deliver the best possible service to their clients. When we set up the Beauty Training Hub we knew that 1:1 training for all students was a must and it has been more successful than we could’ve imagined.
