In 2018, Dame Tessa Jowell led a call to action on behalf of all brain tumour patients to tackle brain tumours, recognising that too little progress has been made in the treatment of patients with this devastating disease. Lord O’Shaughnessy, the then Undersecretary of State for Health, responded by convening members of the brain tumour community to design a new national strategy. And so, the Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission was formed by a group of passionate academics, doctors, members of professional and patient organisations and patients. Today, the national effort has grown in scale and size. The Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission is now a Community Interest Company which manages and supports a national portfolio of several transformational programmes in the areas of research, trials, training and patients. Our work is funded and supported by the NIHR, The Tessa Jowell Foundation, CRUK, The Minderoo Foundation, The Brain Tumour Charity, Brain Tumour Research, Brainstrust, Brain Tumour Support and Act for Cancer. With qualifications including MSc in S&C and British weightlifting level 1, my journey in fitness has not been via a so-called “normal” path. While I have always been involved in sport from a young age – being part of a football academy throughout my childhood and also playing semi-professional football as a teenager and into my adult years – it was a back injury that put me on the path I’m walking today. After various injections and finally a pretty big operation on my back, I found myself desperate to get back into shape. During this process I made the decision to quit my full time job as an admin assistant manager and study for my MSc in Strength and Conditioning – a decision which ultimately led me to where I am today. Many people will call me a personal trainer (PT) but I see myself more as a coach. I’m here to help coach people into making better lifestyle choices with regards to food, training and general lifestyle choices. I’m also here to educate my clients on how best to work out and explain the benefits all of these better choices make. Your fitness journey doesn’t have to be three killer workouts followed by chicken and broccoli every day. Nor is it my mission to push you so far in the gym that you’re throwing up. My job is to show you how you can enjoy your journey and more importantly sustain the changes you’ve made.

The Infant Feeding Team The UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative works with health care professionals to provide parents with the best support to build close and loving relationships with their baby, and to feed their baby in ways that support optimum health and development. We were re-accredited as a Gold service in January 2020! Return with your baby for extra help. The infant feeding team run antenatal breastfeeding workshops every week and more information can be found under related links. Part of the role of the team is to provide ongoing training and support to the midwives and maternity support staff around infant feeding as well as write and update the guidelines and policies. This means any of the staff are able to answer your questions and you can expect to receive consistent and evidence based support from your community and hospital team throughout your pregnancy and in the early days after having your baby. If your midwife or other health care professional feels you would benefit from more specialist support they will put in a referral to our team. We aim to get in touch as soon as possible during the working week after the referral has been received. There are baby friendly champions in every ward area and community team within maternity. They are staff who attend regular updates and disseminate key information to the people they work with to ensure you receive the most up to date information on infant feeding. During pregnancy

My name’s Marion Webber and I’ve been working in the field of Arts in Health and more general participatory arts for over a decade. Studies* have proven the benefits of taking part in creative activities that support our daily lives. I founded Arting Celfio during 2020, to enable Healthcare professionals and artists specialising within Arts and Health to collaborate and provide high-quality, tailor-made, person-centered arts projects. I am a practicing artist based in South Wales, with extensive experience in Participatory Arts Practice. This has given me the privilege to work with diverse participants on many commissions resulting in the installation of artworks in both temporary and permanent exhibitions. My art practice and knowledge inform how I collaborate and co-curate projects with Healthcare professionals and fellow artists within the field of Arts in Health. I have an MA (with Distinction - Arts Practice Arts, Health and Wellbeing) and gained a PGCE PcET Teaching Qualification (Post-16 and Adult Education sectors). I deliver creative workshops, informed by reflective practice and a commitment to continued professional development that connects, and provides meaningful activities that value people’s input and stories.
