Power The Fight is an award-winning charity which aims to be the conduit between communities and policy makers (see our Community Empowerment Cycle diagram above). We create co-produced/co-designed long-term strategies for sustainable structural change. Most of our work is with young people, families, schools, local authorities, faith groups and community organisations who want to be equipped to engage with youth violence issues in their context. We do this in a number of ways: 1. Training and Events At Power The Fight we have access to leading thinkers and practitioners from a range of disciplines working in the field of youth violence. Since the beginning of 2019 we have trained and equipped over 8000 organisations and individuals to make a difference to young people’s lives, including the NHS, schools, faith groups, charities, local authorities and more. For more information go to our training page or see what events we have coming up. 2. Resources At Power The Fight we have developed resources to help organisations, faith and community groups to better understand issues relating to youth violence. These include specialist PowerTalks, links to helpful websites and toolkits. For more information go to PowerTalks or our resources page. 3. Building Connections At Power The Fight we bring community groups together with local authorities, services and other partners to promote mutuality, improve cohesion and effect change. For more information on how we can serve you go to bespoke programmes. We invest the money we raise into equipping communities to build sustainable, community-owned projects that promote peace and end youth violence. To support our work please donate today. 4. Families At Power The Fight we support families impacted by youth violence. We do this in partnership, providing access to culturally competent therapeutic, financial and legal support. We have also developed our Therapeutic Intervention for Peace programme (TIP) which is now being piloted across London. TIP provides culturally competent therapy to young people, families and frontline staff engaging/impacted by violence affecting young people. For more information on TIP please go to our TIP report page where you can read our research report. This was published in September 2020 with funding from the Mayor of London’s Violence Reduction Unit.

During the academic year 2020-2021, NFEC held a number of online seminars which focussed on preparing for the launch in September 2022 of the three T-Levels planned for the Engineering sector; T Level technical qualification in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing T Level technical qualification in Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing T Level technical qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control During the course of these webinars it became clear that one of the foremost challenges facing NFEC members in delivering the new T-Levels would be in the sourcing, management and measurement of the substantial work placements of 315 hours which form part of the overall T-Level qualification. NFEC committed to collate some case studies, contributed from NFEC member colleges to illustrate the strategies that had been employed so far to build capacity for work placements, ahead of T-Level launch, and to provide shared resources to aid all members in their own planning and implementation. The report which has resulted consists of three cases studies and shared resources from three NFEC member colleges representing various settings, geographies and demographics. Please view the report within our 'Working 4 You' section 'Reports and Case Studies' or click the link below: NFEC - T Level Work Experience Case Studies Report 2022 NFEC would like to thank and acknowledge the contributions made from the following colleges; South Devon College, Walsall College, Herefordshire, Ludlow & North Shropshire College. We trust that this will provide you with some useful information and a reminder that "we are all in this together"! We will welcome feedback from members and indeed, any further contributions that NFEC can add to this resource.

Hampstead Piano Academy is a private music school in Hampstead London that provides one to one piano tuition at all levels and ages, from young beginners to enthusiastic adults. Piano lessons in Hampstead take place at our studio in NW3. It is based in a quiet street within walking distance to public transport and nearby parking. Additionally, our piano studio is located in close proximity to surrounding areas such as St. John’s Wood, Golders Green and the London borough of Camden: Hampstead Village, West Hampstead, Swiss Cottage or Belsize Park. Our classes include individual piano lessons in classical, jazz and improvisation, as well as tutorials to prepare ABRSM, Trinity College and LCM theory and practical exams at all levels. Being a soloist can often be a lonely pursuit so we also offer piano duet lessons (ideal for siblings, couples, friends or neighbours) and music playgroup sessions for the little ones. Each lesson is carefully planned and our pupils get the teacher’s undivided attention. The learning process is tracked weekly and the students can request a termly report: a personalized guidance to know what to practice and how to do it. Likewise, Hampstead Piano Academy organises public concerts where pupils can showcase what they have achieved through hard work, dedication and fun. Prizewinners of international competitions, our piano teachers hold Master’s Degrees from London’s most prestigious colleges and conservatoires such as the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Their performance experience, not only as soloists but also as a professional four hands piano duo, provides the students with a broader understanding of music making. Hampstead Piano Academy is open Monday to Sunday, 9 am to 9 pm. Get in touch to book a consultation lesson with one of our teachers.
