Welcome to Silverlining I am a qualified Coach working with individuals that desire to move forward in their lives. I have over 10 years’ experience of mentoring and coaching both individuals and teams in the work place. I decided to formalise my experience and qualified as a Personal Development Coach, working with individuals and small groups. I then achieved my Youth Impact and Education Diploma to support my work across the education sector. My passion is to help and support people that want to move forward in their lives and achieve their goals and fulfil their aspirations. My own experience has taught me that sometimes you need a little bit of help to get started.

Happy Education Hub is a social enterprise with a C.I.C structure and aims to help young people from disadvantaged, vulnerable and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups to become mentally and physically healthy members of society through social and educational activities. It develops young people’s skills to enable them to achieve their potential. It provides networking opportunities for young people in the UK and abroad to broaden their horizons. It also provides opportunities for elderly people and young people to engage in educational, meaningful and pleasurable activities to prevent loneliness. Another objective of the Happy Education Hub is providing work opportunities for local people in the education sector. It will employ teachers, child carers, cleaners, IT technicians etc.

Dealing with the challenges of today can be hard for everyone. Irregular migration is laden with uncertainty. Rerouting works to chart viable paths for the future shifting the prospects for individuals, their communities and wider societies. 02. — Future Objectives We are currently working together with government, NGO and civil society groups towards providing temporary accommodation for migrants returned to Nigeria and Ghana. The plan is of offer substantive reorientation support to assist with successful reintegration and to reinforce independence. Our plans could help to reduce the uncertainties that hinder the voluntary return of migrants in detention centres and strengthen individual and community resilience.

The Venn HearmyVoice programme is a coaching and mentoring service designed to promote the development and empowerment of individuals and groups which will lead to big changes being made in the empowerment of primary school to university- level students. It will encourage participants to own their learning. It can also be tailored to suit people in the workplace, and help managers develop their leadership skills. The HearmyVoice student programme is aimed at students from 9 to 25 years old, and starts with a 32-question diagnostic survey, which is an online questionnaire, with eight possible categories, based around the outcomes. From here, the six-week intensive coaching begins, which is tailored around the results to the survey to suit the individual. Once a profile has been established, an adult coach will be assigned for the duration of the course. The HearmyVoice adult programme is designed with the adult in mind. It is aimed at workers with a view to empowerment and self-regulation in the workplace. HearmyVoice has been designed to improve individuals’ aspirations whilst also supporting self-regulation and empowerment in young people and adults. It is primarily aimed for use within the education sector, but can be tailored for use within the workplace. The programme supports organisations to improve performance processes, with the focus on finding solutions rather than reacting to problems. The six-week intensive training can be completed online or face-to-face and can be one-to-one or in larger groups or teams.

It has always held a fascination for me and exploring the history, techniques and examples of embroidery from around the world has been a joy as I have learned more and more about this extraordinary craft. As well as Day Classes, the Certificate and Diploma, Summer Intensive Certificate and the Degree modules at Hampton Court Palace, I have taught at the Victoria and Albert Museum, The British Library and The Royal Free Hospital. Currently I have a studio at Lancaster Castle though I spend a lot of my time teaching and embroidering elsewhere. I run workshops and teach classes for the RSN, at Hampton Court and in Lancaster. Recently I've taught at The Brewery Arts in Kendal; Swallows and Artisans, Coniston; Farfield Mill Sedbergh; and Cumbria's Museum of Military Life in Carlisle to name a few. I also run Embroidery Groups in Kendal and Lancaster. Alongside that I continue to exhibit, recently I've curated exhibitions at Farfield Mill, at Cumbria's Museum of Military Life in Carlisle, and Lancaster Castle. And I found time to do online courses for the RSN and for the School of Stitched Textile, host a holiday for Colouricious and talks for embroidery groups. During Covid I've also taught and tutored online. When I'm not busy with all this I love undertaking renovations, and have done work ranging from samplers to a Shabraque for the Parachute Regiment's pony. This versatility came in handy working as an expert with the BBC One Programme The Repair Shop. It's busy but great fun.
