With the guidance of our pleasant and helpful reception staff, we can inform you of anything you need to know to make you feel comfortable in our school before you even step into one of our studios! Marina started the Marina School of Dance in Whitchurch in October 2009 after graduating from the Royal Academy of Dance. The school started with just Ballet and quickly added ISTD Tap and Modern classes into the timetable. We currently have a massive range of classes including Acrobatic Arts, Street Dance, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and most recently Latin. Our team of teachers is constantly growing and all our teachers are encouraged to continually update their knowledge and training in order to give our students the best quality lessons. Marina and the team are members of many teaching organisations in order make sure that all lessons are the most current and up to date syllabus, this also means we can enter students for exams if they wish. Marina School of Dance follows the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Syllabus, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Tap, Modern and Contemporary Syllabus and The Acrobatic Arts syllabus. After searching for a ‘home’ for many years we moved into our new studio in Overton in September 2020, whilst still continuing with our Whitchurch classes to be able to provide lots of options for local families. The new studio means we can offer a huge variety of classes and really make the most of the beautiful facilities. With shows, exams and performances every year there is always something exciting to look forward to. New pupils are always welcome, with or without any experience. We pride ourselves on including and providing opportunities for every single child. All children are encouraged to do their best and to work hard, whilst still having an amazing time and making lots of friends. We are very lucky to have wonderful students and families who are very supportive of the school, making us one big happy dance family. About us The German Saturday School North London was started as a parent initiative to provide German learning and an appreciation of German, Swiss and Austrian culture and traditions for the children of bilingual and expatriate families from German-speaking countries. The school has grown over the years and now has 110-120 children attending regularly on Saturday mornings. We are fortunate to have access to facilities at the Copthall School in Mill Hill. In 2011, the school was incorporated as a Community Interest Company (CIC), to better serve the interests of the German language community of North London and surrounding areas. We remain a not-for-profit organisation dependent on the voluntary work of our parents for the administration of our school. Our teachers are qualified part-time employees and have DBS checks.

Our company was founded in 1999 by Larry Lukis, a successful entrepreneur and computer geek who wanted to radically reduce the time it took to get injection-moulded plastic prototype parts. His solution was to automate the traditional manufacturing process by developing complex software that communicated with a network of mills and presses. As a result, plastic and metal parts could be produced in a fraction of the time it had ever taken before. Over the next decade, we would continue to expand our injection moulding envelope, introduce quick-turn CNC machining and open global facilities in Europe and Japan. In 2014, we launched industrial-grade 3D printing services to allow product developers, designers and engineers an easier path to move from early prototyping to low-volume production.
