The Role of the Code Manager The Code Manager is responsible for ensuring that
the day-to-day functions and processes of the Retail Energy Code are effectively
and efficiently delivered. RECCo is responsible for the appointment of the Code
Manager and ongoing service management and monitoring of performance. The Code
Manager role is broadly distinguished into the following three functions and a
continuous improvement approach has been embedded throughout all aspects of its
services. REC Professional Services (RPS) is responsible for delivery of the REC
Portal, REC Change Management process and providing support to REC parties via
the Service Desk, Operational Account Manager function and the provision of
expert training, knowledge and events. REC Performance Assurance (RPA) leads on
the delivery of the REC Performance Assurance Framework including running of the
Performance Assurance Board (PAB) and managing Parties’ entry and exit to the
REC. REC Technical Services (RTS) acts as the technical design authority and
leads on the maintenance of REC technical documentation through the provision of
the Energy Market Architecture Repository (EMAR) and providing technical
support.
