half acre studios
Half Acre is a unique artists studio and garden designed and created by Carole
Vincent (1939-2019) artist and teacher, in the beautiful Cornish coastal village
of Boscastle. Reopened by artists Sam Halstead and Phoebe Stannard in August
2019, Half Acre Studios will remain a space for creativity, art and teaching.
Our aim is to support local artists with regular groups, including life drawing,
painting, sculpture and printmaking, along with short courses and week long
courses open to all. In addition we wish to foster creativity in the younger
generation of artists, to complement the work of local schools and enhance the
career prospects of young local artists by running a regular young artists
programme.
