Anvesaka Yoga & Aerial aims to turn the boring gym treadmill routine in it’s head, by making exercise sociable, full of laughter and above all, enjoyable. Established in 2015, Anvesaka Yoga & Aerial is a leading provider of Aerial Yoga classes in the North East of England. Amy discovered yoga after a very premature birth and prolonged hospital stay of her eldest child, her yoga practice provided the necessary space and tranquillity to get through the anxious early years. Following the birth of her second child and subsequent redundancy, Amy decided to retrain as a yoga teacher, to try to bring the joy and peace that yoga has brought her to as many people as possible. Our foray into aerial began in 2015, when Amy tried her first aerial yoga class, and immediately went home to find out the requirements for teacher training! A few hours later her course was booked. From here Anvesaka Yoga & Aerial was born. Anvesaka Yoga & Aerial developed from this modest foundation of one person on Teesside to a network of more than 20 teachers covering the North East of England by early 2020. Our range of classes have grown as well, adding in more variety of aerial equipment styles over the years to offer a full range of classes to everyone looking to elevate their fitness practice, as well as yoga for schools, corporate settings and festivals. catherine annis yoga

Catherine Annis is well known for her imaginative and practical approach to yoga. Originally a professional dancer, she discovered yoga as a teenager, and has been  practising since the mid 1970s. In 2017 she created the  Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training Course [http://www.intelligentyogateachertraining.co.uk/], an anatomically focused course, with world leading guest teachers, including Gary Carter.   Catherine’s yoga practice and  teaching focuses on strategies for downregulating the nervous system, working with breath and subtle somatic movements to soothe the mind and create more physical ease for those working with pain, stress and anxiety.  She holds a Masters degree in ballet studies, and is a qualified Thai massage practitioner and it is this interest in the body which informs and inspires her teaching.  For more, visit her at:  http://www.CatherineAnnisYoga.co.uk [http://www.catherineannisyoga.co.uk/] Catherine taught in London's leading yoga studios and teacher training courses for nearly 20 years before moving to Exmoor, where she now lives with her husband and dog.  Her main focus is wellbeing, in particular how yoga and breathing help down-regulate our nervous system, providing inner calm and relaxation to those working with pain, stress and anxiety. Fran Carpenter is the Managing Director of Frantic Productions Ltd. Frantic was formed in 1998. A prolific writer of school music resources and Christmas nativity plays and musicals, Fran has more than 20 years' experience of teaching early years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as a music co-ordinator and specialist class music teacher. Fran's catalogue of school musicals and music education resources is growing all the time, and her nativity plays and musical productions have been performed worldwide in thousands of primary schools. Fran also worked for several years in school television and educational video production. She worked as a member of the producer's team on a series of BBC's Look and Read and on a TEFL video for Pearson Education, and was a co-writer of the accompanying teachers' resource packs. She is a member of the Orff Society UK and much of her music for children is inspired by the creative Orff approach to music education. In addition to her writing work, Fran runs music workshops in nurseries and schools and CPD teacher training courses for music hubs and teacher training colleges. These courses are highly regarded and provide teachers and students with a whole host of ideas for creative music making with early years and primary children.
