Tutor on a Computer has been set up to bring together high quality online
tuition embedded with research and pedagogy from the classroom. As a qualified
teacher and department leader, I have seen and trialled a range of pedagogical
techniques to improve the progress made by my students. Over time, I have
compiled a selection of strategies which promote accelerated progression:
students achieve more faster. Over the past 5 years, I have been involved in
running physics departments and (most recently) a large science department at an
all through school in the UK. Tom Sherrington, Daisy Christodoulou, Shaun
Allison, Adam Boxer, and Doug Lemov are just some of the people I have taken
inspiration from to support learning in the classroom; tuition through Tutor on
a Computer works on these same principles, adapted for remote and blended
learning.
