Scots Music Group is a charity with a strong ethos of community-building, using traditional music, song and dance to bring people together. We actively support and encourage our students to gain the skills and confidence to take their music back into their own communities. We rely on the enormous goodwill of all our members who get involved in making things happen.

In 2000 after graduating with a 1st class degree in glass from Edinburgh College of Art Wendy moved into her first glass studio, a small red brick outbuilding in her home in Dorset. Wendy then received the prestigious Crafts Council Start Up Award to purchase equipment to start Red Brick Glass (the glass kiln is still going strong 20 years on!) Wendy worked as an architectural glass artist, collaborating with interior designers and architects to create large-scale glass installations and made small glass work to sell in galleries and shops. After a few years Wendy launched her website (with a new-fangled online shop) and started to run fused glass making workshops. 4 years ago Wendy moved into her new home and studio, a gorgeous barn conversion in the beautiful village of West Lulworth, Dorset. This was a dream come true as Wendy always wanted to live within walking distance from the sea. She still doesn’t take it for granted and walks to get her dose of sea air most days. Red Brick Glass continues to grow and develop. Wendy designed the make at home kits during lockdown 2020 as she couldn’t run workshops and due to their success she now needs a little help in the studio to keep up with orders. Vicki is the brilliant new studio assistant and Wendy’s teenage daughters help out at weekends and holidays (filling up colourful glass pots is the favourite job). We are very grateful to Red Brick Glass customers who have supported us over the years. We are excited for the future and hope you will follow us on our journey.

Limitless Learning Limited was founded by Jane Ballantine a week after Apple’s App Store launched in 2008. As a former secondary science teacher, Jane saw first-hand how addicted teenagers were to their mobile phones and this inspired her to put learning into their hands. In 2004, Jane pitched an idea for a mobile text/SMS-based revision quiz to a large mobile network provider to run in 2005 for the International Year of Physics. At that time, the technology wasn’t quite ready to support her idea; but when she saw the App Store, she knew the time had come. When the company was founded, Jane was getting far more work than she herself could do, so she set up Limitless Learning to run as an agency that employed educational authors and editors to complete client’s work with her oversight. The profits from this work were used to fund the development of Limitless Learning’s own products. We are a small company of friendly full-time and part-time staff. We work closely with a regular set of trusted freelancers so we can be flexible, cost-effective and responsive to our clients’ needs. Our team of principals and freelancers is managed by Jane Ballantine, Founder and CEO of the company. Originally based in London and in Edinburgh, we now operate with a variety of clients and freelancers around the world

Swanston Golf Club was founded in 1927 as a Ladies-only course but due to demand from the Lady members’ partners it was soon opened up to men and extended to 18 holes in 1928. The course generally did not change until 2006 when work began on seven new holes which opened for play in March 2009. The current clubhouse was opened in 2007 In April 2016 we further improved the layout of our 18 hole course by incorporating two of the best holes from the old Lothianburn Golf Course. Swanston also has the 9 Hole Par 3 Templar Course, a Driving Range and fantastic practice chipping and putting areas, there’s also the Swanston Golf Academy which has 6 covered bays,12 grass bays Also based at Swanston Academy is one of the UK’s finest golf club fitting studios owned and managed by Scott Gourlay of Scott Gourlay Golf Technology SGGT The Academy is open to members and the public
