We were founded in 2017 by Chrissa Wadlow after her own gruelling battle to gain her daughter a suitable education provision. Her journey, littered with injustice, was filled with a catalogue of errors and the family received very limited help from services they thought they could trust, creating irreparable damage for the entire family. It took 2 SEND tribunals, a high court case and one final SEND tribunal for Chrissa to gain the educational placement her daughter needed. It shouldn’t be this hard. Chrissa could not allow this to continue to happen, and so formed Sunshine Support to help other families navigate their way through the process of Special Educational Needs to ensure they received the RIGHT advice and guidance from trustworthy experts. Her story has inspired thousands of families to seek justice and exercise their right to the law.

The African Youth Development Association (AYDA) is an International registered charity in England and Wales that supports the development of young people including those with special educational needs and their families through education and training. The association became a company registered by guarantee in September 2007 and a registered International Charity in February 2008 with Board of Directors appointed to run the organisation. The charity’s vision is to empower future generations and is commitment to improve the quality of life for young people to fulfill their potential and to make a positive contribution to their communities. AYDA is a registered charity working for the benefit of all young people including those with additional needs and their families. AYDA embraces cultural diversity and health issues, focusing on FGM and parental care by raising awareness between ethnic groups to build bridges across communities. AYDA is managed by a board of trustees and our services are delivered by sectional trainers and volunteers. AYDA provides training opportunities, employment enhancement training, recreational activities and intervention services for all. AYDA works together with other voluntary organizations, local government departments, statutory authorities and other independent bodies.

Across the Federation we cater for pupils between the ages of 2 to 19 with wide ranging special educational needs including physical and medical needs, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and social communication difficulties and severe and profound learning difficulties. Both schools enjoy excellent facilities and provide high quality, individualised provision for all pupils by working closely with other professionals. The over-riding aim of our Federation is to provide an inclusive education in the most real sense; preparing young people to take a confident and active place in society, who are well prepared to meet the challenges of adult life, including the world of work, continuing education and independent living and the world of day care provision for those where further education is not the most appropriate next step after leaving school. Sibs exists to support people who grow up with or have grown up with a disabled brother or sister. It is the only UK charity representing the needs of over half a million young siblings and over one and a half million adult siblings. Sibs is the only UK charity for children and adults who are growing up with or have grown up with a disabled brother or sister. We provide information, support and training on sibling issues for adult siblings, young siblings, parents and professionals. Young siblings Children and young people growing up with a disabled brother or sister often get less attention from parents and have more worries and responsibilities than their peers. Many young siblings experience daily challenges in their lives such as public prejudice and finding it hard to get schoolwork done. They also need recognition for the positive aspects of their family lives, such as learning new skills and being supportive of their brothers’ and sisters’ needs. Direct support for young siblings We run www.sibs.org.uk – an online information service for children and young people aged 7-17, who have a brother or sister who is disabled, has special educational needs or a serious long-term condition. Young siblings can: Get information about disability and conditions, and tips for enjoying life and dealing with feelings. Get help from our team with sibling issues at home and at school.

Currently, Willow Dene consists of Toucan Specialist Provision for 2 Year Olds, Willow Dene Swingate Lane for our primary aged children and Willow Dene Oakmere Road for our secondary aged children. About Outcomes Advocacy At Outcomes Advocacy we are passionate about ensuring children and young people with special educational needs are provided with the provision they need to reach their potential. We have embraced the focus the Children and Families Act 2014 places on children and young people with SEN reaching their best possible outcomes. We recognise that parents and carers need different levels of support at various points. At times parents may need skilled specialist advocates to support and represent them in a non-neutral capacity. Our mission is to make that high quality, personalised service accessible and affordable. Being partners with you is important. Outcomes Advocacy was founded in 2016 by Steve Devlin Outcomes Advocacy is the culmination of many years of experience of working with families of children with SEN and disabilities. Steve has managed one of the busiest SEND IASS (formerly known as Parent Partnership) services in the country for a London Local Authority. In this time Steve has undertaken significant training and continual professional development accredited by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority. Steve has provided a service to over 1000 parents and has delivered over 100 workshops on specific areas of SEN. In addition to his wealth of knowledge on SEN legal frameworks Steve has an in-depth knowledge of how Local Authorities function, including their decision making processes. Steve has held key strategic positions on the SEN reforms management board for Local Authorities, helping to design the new polices, procedures and key documents for the revised statutory assessments and Education Health and Care Plans. Steve has worked professionally in the field of special educational needs and disability since 2002. Starting out as youth worker with a specialism in working with disabled children, he went on to manage local and national projects.
